    This 30-minute Pilates workout is Day 4 of the 30-Day Pilates Journey, “Finding your Center.” Today’s focus is the booty, where we activate and work the glutes to see how they connect with the rest of the muscles that make up the Pilates powerhouse.
    Strong glute muscles are also critical in activities such as walking, running and biking… to help power us forward and also to ensure we are doing these activities with correct form to reduce the chance of injuries. Plus, who doesn't want toned glutes?! Just sayin’ ;)

    Day 4 in the books and it's a booty day! Love love love leg and booty and hip exercises, they make me feel so strong. Defintely frustrating when I notice one side being weaker or more fatigued than the other, but that means that I am getting to know my body more and that should be celebrated. Tomorrow's shoulders and upper body definitely have me worried and I think I see myself doing quite a few modifications. Still looking forward to it though!

      Glad you love this leg and booty day! It feels good to feel strong! It's amazing that you are aware of the inconsistencies from one side to the other.... yes, celebrate that!! That awareness is key to understanding your body, how it moves, and how you may need to adjust/modify/challenge one side versus another. You're doing wonderful! Keep it up!

    Oh how I loved this one!! Just what I am needing to work on to help with my running! Stronger glutes means quicker turn ivy, which leads to faster marathon times 😁. Thank you Cailin!

    Hi I can't do the slow roll downs or up should I just keep going with the days or do something else to get up to speed on the roll downs? Thanks Tristyn

      Hi Tristyn, that's a great question! Those roll downs can be tricky for a lot of people. You can still do these by modifying the exercise - instead of straightening the legs, bend the knees and keep the feet on the floor, and you can use your hands by grabbing behind the thighs as you roll up and down. You can also just roll halfway up and down if going the full distance doesn't work for you at this time. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, let me know :)
