This Full Body Pilates Workout is Day 13 of the 30-Day Pilates Journey, “Finding your Center.” In this workout, we incorporate a small kitchen/bath towel and learn how this simple prop can help us connect and engage deeper into our center.
The versatility of the towel in this workout helps us strengthen and deepen the connection to our powerhouse in all positions, including neutral spine, flexion, extension, rotation and side bending. The areas you will likely feel this connection to your center the most are the the upper back and shoulders, and the transverse abdominus (lower abs).

Hi Cailin:) Loved this creative, deep and effective towel workout! Since my mat is on a carpet I used a pair of gliders to be able to slide during the section where we used the towel on the floor. A pair of paper plates would work great on carpet too:). Thx again for this great workout!❤️
Great idea with the sliders! That's perfect! And great tip with the paper plates too :) Both perfect if you're on carpet! Glad you were able to find the deeper engagement using the towel!!
Great feeling of connection. My last workout for a while as have a foot op tomorrow. If you have any exercises I can do with my foot raised I would welcome them! 😊

The only thing I've used this towel for, is to go between my face and the mat haha!

Awww, so glad you enjoyed this workout! Pilates on the reformers uses the same ideas and concepts as the mat, but does feel a bit different since they use spring-based resistance. It feels amazing!!
