For those that don't know: being in the mid to high 30's level wise is normal for this fight, level 40 if you want max rank. But by 40 you get so little experience from all enemies that leveling up just once more is an extreme grind that will only get harder with each subsequent level up. Level 99 isn't just overkill, it's an achievement hard fought for by hours upon hours of mind-numbing grinding. I salute you.
I got Mario and Luigi and Bowser all at lvl 40 before even getting to the first Big boss fight against Bowsers castle. Reason is I couldn’t beat The Carrot eating challenge for over 7 years and I still loved this game so I just fought other enemies and in that time I managed to get to lvl 40. Btw I never actually beat the carrot eating challenge and I lost the game chip which sucked
Even though this might seem unbelievable achievable, it is. The early enemies give you barely any Xp but killing them over and over and over again for over 5 years you will eventually get to Max lvl before even getting to beat the First Big boss
In my file, I have the bros at level 47 and Bowser at 44. Against the Dark Star Core with the max damage badge, I've done upwards of 2300 damage with the Falling Star.
Would be funny but unfortunately the game won't allow you anyway 😂 iir it has an insane ammount of hp and the game would cap your dmg anyway so.. ye not happening

Holy cows, and here i am after beating the game for the second time in lvl 27 for the 3 characters
