It's very rare that a game makes the final boss the best in the game, let alone the damn franchise. Very few games succeed at that, and literally everything lines up perfectly, my favorite element being Bowser VS Dark Bowser. The music is epic, yes, but I will always be a sucker for "the final boss is a dark version of you". Bowser wins that fight not because of his pure power, but because of his heart and persistence - the two things that his minions follow him into battle for and carry him out almost without question (which this game explores and breaks down multiple times and is at the heart of his most powerful attacks). It's the perfect finale for a game exploring the depths of potentially the most iconic gaming villain of all time.
When i was young i almost never succed inhale anything with Bowser, so this was a problem for dark Fawful, but with magikoopa (this feels weird for me, like in Japan, in France we use Kamek as both the race and the individual one) his jetpack finally get his arse kicked.

This was very well narrated. Good balance between personal reasons, overall atmosphere, and the gameplay itself. Also with a really solid amount of energy, and a feeling of stakes when/where appropriate, it's very easy to get that wrong.
1. I gave up on that eating the giga carrot because I didn’t read the dialogue so I missed the part where he was talking about the super-digestive enzyme 2. in the 3DS version Fawful and, vacuum helmet, attack is where the helmet grabs the ceiling and Fawful swings to bowser changes to Fawful, and the vacuum helmet ramming Bowser and the one where he eats Luigi and moves side to side he just spins around Mario in the 3DS version 3. The Dark Star core changes his attack from the little umbrella, spike thing shooting at you to the 3DS version the little dark bubbles going around Mario and Luigi, which are really hard to dodge.

Bro didn't need to diss on the gen 5 pokemon games with the inanimate object line, when gen 1 was the first to do so, with arguably worse designs, and competitive viability. Stop the gen 5 hate lol
some very interesting facts about Dark Star in the original BIS is that, during a Nerve mode(ie no items, no equipment/badges, stache only on level up, no special attacks, Jump/Hammer/Punch/Fire breath only.) low-level run where you only level up stache, and force +1 level only per area arc+always have challenge medal on, I've found some neat things about some of the bosses: 1. Dark Star will always rise up again after 1 turn in its vulnerable state, and that is completely assuming Mario and Luigi never level speed at all and have no gear except challenge medal on, and are very specifically, under level 35. 2. the 4 color orb attack Dark Star does, specifically if it decides to go "Top to Bottom" and is "4 orbs of the same color", is actually almost completely impossible to avoid. I've found this is because the 3rd and 4th orbs are too close to the screen. the 4th gets batted down too fast after the 3rd orb, so you're effectively frame-trapped when jumping the 3rd and will always get hit even if you do jump, the 4th always lands "Right" in the bros's hitbox. from what I understood about this attack, when its top to bottom+4 same color orbs, you have to jump perfectly by the 2nd orb or die. the reason why the 3rd orb traps you into the 4th deff has to due with how close to the screen they are. 3. at level 35 assuming no speed levels or gear, Mario out-speeds Dark Star, and that makes him get 1 extra turn against the Dark Star when its vulnerable 4. Dark Star is without a doubt the most aggressive boss in the entire BIS game, yet its also simple enough to understand. legit the 4 same color orb attack is the most problematic attack it has. cuz its the only truly near-unavoidable attack in the game, and only if it goes Top to bottom. if it goes Bottom to Top then you're fine- 5. the most notorious thing is Dark Star can heal over 120 hp from the Dark Satellmites starting from the 2nd/3rd time it gets up from vulnerable state its at this point you're required to use the not-upgraded Excellent!+POW badge to win not only this fight, but the Dark Fawful and Dark Bowser+Dark Star Core fights too. Junker is very interesting w/these Nerve mode rules because he will make the game a literal Mario Solo. normally you'd free Luigi but with such a low-level(level 19 is the max level at Junker with +1 level per area arc rule.) its pointless to free him. on the bright side it 1 less button to worry about, Junker actually saves the run cuz he keeps Luigi safe in the Trash Can. 🤔 Junker's only problem attack is the trash dump, you just haveta "wait 1 second" and react to what comes out. Blizzard Midbus's hide "Bomb in Snow trick" becomes a lot easier when you "Remember the snowball's design." if you do that then you'll hit the bomb every-time, but without knowing this, that's the only tricky part. Dark Fawful's a massive hp sponge in challenge medal w/nerve mode rules, a bit over 4k hp(total w/both enemies) with 5 turns of waiting til you can suck the Vacuum helmet. and you only have 1 drag attack of leeway before Mario/Weegee get koed. Dark Fawful's simple on paper but its when he switches up his Star Ray attack, esp to the point you have to memorize where the Pink Star is, is where I find he becomes very tricky. esp when he uses the Formation that covers the entire space+may or may not have an Intentional Gap, where you have to let go of Y early to have bowser punch the star, or get hit and die. Dark Bowser's.. basically an over 450khp wall within this ruleset(1500 hp revive w/challenge medal). the fact the final boss is legit significantly easier than Junker Mario Solo, Dark Star, or Dark Fawful, really says somethin fr I can deff confirm BIS deff wasn't meant to be played with no items, no equips(cept Excellent+POW badge, required for the last 3 fights in the game) and no special attacks. Dark Star's deff easy with gear and specials+items, but its when you take away everything that makes it easy, you realize exactly how threatening it actually is. its most deff the hardest and aggressive boss in BIS within these Nerve Mode rules. its only 1 problematic near-unavoidable attack in Dark Star w/the color orb attack. despite this, I'm very happy to confirm its actually completely possible to win and beat the game like this. I made it to Dark Bowser under these rules and adjusted when I saw the impossible scenarios via Dark Star needing the bros to be level 35+Excellent+POW Badge being required 🤲
