I like to use the Rush Limbaugh example also... How would a Leftist Baker like it if they were FORCED to bake a cake cellebrating Rush Limbaugh, or force to bake a cake for some Conservative group, you name it.
Forcing people to do things "against their concious" is PURE EVIL.... Yet Leftists are perfectly fine with doing so. Not all of course, slightly more reasonable ones like Jimmy Dore still understand what Freedom is, even if he's wrong almost on everything else save his Truth telling on Russia and Ukraine, condeming other Leftists for their lying on that.
Anyway, his point was valid, and you were just wrong to be critical of it. The point wasn't the "swastika", the point was showing Leftist hypocrasy and evil in this.
It's his right to refuse to make the cake, just like how it would be unfair to make an LGBTQIA+ bakery make a cake of a straight couple with "Straight is Great" on it.
I like that, that’s my new motto.

I’m surprised that after the precedent established by Supreme Court decision in the first case, the following frivolous and baseless suits weren’t thrown out. But then, legal system is corrupted by interest groups financial support and no judge is independent and impartial per se
The bright spot in that is hopefully more people see things like his book for sale, so he can at least recoup some (maybe all!) of his lost income and legal expenses. Also, it clearly highlights the struggle and that it is not over with a single court decision.

Christians in the USA have had life pretty easy for a long time, and we've forgotten how it costs us. Christ never promised us an easy time. Rather, he said we would be taken before magistrates, kings, and counsels; that we would be mocked, beaten, and flogged. This event is simply one example of exactly what he told us to expect. It ends up growing the church stronger, because now that there is a cost to having our faith, we cherish it more, cling to it more, lean on it more. We realize that we can't do this ourselves, that kings and courts are against us instead of for us. Thanks be to God that he provides his Spirit to strengthen us. May we look to him for all we need.
@@sidwhiting665 Agreed. But its still pretty crappy, America is supposed to be a place of freedom, that why we have had such an easy time. But I guess nice things cant last forever.

I do however paint for and in many churches also because I choose to use my God given talent to represent my own beliefs and values. I’m never going to paint some sort of gay pride thing or some satanic thing or some lewd thing, that’s MY CHOICE. Good for this business owner for standing for what he feels is right. A trans cake is a cake that

I don't understand how this is even possible: As a business owner, doesn't he have the right to deny service to anyone for any reason? Doesn't he get to choose which jobs he accepts? I don't understand this.
I kept expecting this to turn into Bee style satire. I was a third of the way through it before I realized this was a real interview.
Mr. Phillips deserves mad respect... So, not much funny biz here.
So come away… a lawyer ordered a "transition" cake for someone? This was clearly a troll. Pretty sure transition cakes aren't a thing!!🤣

They're not refusing service to the person. They're just saying "hey, here's what we do and here's what we don't do. Pick from the items that we do make and we got you 100%".
Certainly for the transition cake...that's just nutty. But the argument for cakes for gay marriage cakes is that marriage is marriage. That isn't true, but that's the argument.
@Fed Rai after your convincing treatise, I have completely changed my viewpoint. Thank you. Thank you!
At McDonald’s they sell you food so obviously you shouldn’t except a car. But at this guys BAKERY which happens to bake CAKES you should be able to order a CAKE
@Fed Rai isn’t that discrimination
@@greatestevar You are right. Let's give a better analogy: This is like going to McDonalds and demanding that they make you a hotdog.
Mcdonald's sells food, but they don't sell hotdogs. When they mention that this is not on the menu but you could order any of the other things on the menu, you don't then get to sue them.
The people weren't refused service because they're gay. They're refused service because they asked for a product which is not available. The bakery owner even offered to sell them anything that they actually offered. You can't go in asking for someone to make you something special that's not on your menu and then cry "Protected class" when they say "that's not something we make here."
