I worry about the rising number of young autistic adults, often same sex attracted, with histories of complex emotional trauma we are seeing who are now self identifying as trans. Schools now teach elementary age children this garbage when they're not even old enough to understand what it is - that's called "Grooming."
If a child does not learn to love who they are, they will want to be someone else. That in itself is called mental and emotional abuse.

I agree somewhat, because I was questioning my sexuality until my early 30s. But my experience is unique, as is anything about human psychology which is fluid, unfathomable n varies from human to human. There's never gonna be a one size fits all law that will be fair to folks on the gender spectrum. We as a society need to accept the gender norms challenges, respect the generations who are asking these questions n assist them in the collective transitioning into exciting new ways to perceive ourselves n one another.

If you read my Understanding The Transgender Mystery paper you would know there are 3 groups of possible transgender people. Those who WANT to be transgender, those who THINK they are transgender, and those who really ARE transgender. It's essential to discover which group they are in which takes time, love, and understanding by family members, friends, and often professional help.
It's vital to protect ALL 3 groups from making mistakes and going on hormones or getting surgery unless they are TRULY transgender.

Elements of the trans community needs to allow for rational, safe and open debates so people like thid dont transition when they dont actually have gender dysmorphia. Safe gaurding is the key to allow those who are the dignity and safety to do so. But also to prevent vulnerable people from doing so. Lets all the stop the hatred and anger and talk again.

    • @martin-1965
      @martin-1965 Год назад +9

"Lets all the stop the hatred and anger and talk again." - agree 100%. As a 58 year old male, I have for a long time watched and stayed out of any debate because, frankly, I do not suffer from gender dysmorphia and feel I have, or at least "had", little to offer, other than to support any individual's right to live the way they believe they were meant to live. Then about 6 months back a good friends niece who had surgically transitioned around the age of 18 from female to male, was in terrible turmoil and regretted their transition. Suddenly the trans issue - with all its complexities - was close to me and currently they are having intense counselling which will, I hope, help them resolve their crisis and decide whether to revert back to female or continue as male. More recently - a much more positive experience - was with my young (20s) neighbours who have a flat in the same house as me. I had known them as a traditional male/female couple but it became clear that the male had began transitioning to female. We were good friends as neighbours, so I felt confident enough to ask the question and to also say that I totally supported them and hoped I wasn't being invasive by bringing up the subject. I admit that, as an old fogey, I appreciated the opportunity to have a coffee with both of them and learn more about how "he" had been feeling and how they were progressing the transition. In their case - they as a couple - the two are doing great and I learned a lot about what being trans means to the individual and to their partner. She is not rushing into surgery but has begun hormone treatment and fortunately we live in a pretty cool town where they have been able to dress as they want without nasty comments or any threats. A happier young couple would be harder to find :)
So... yes there needs to be more talk. There needs to be less anger on all sides. There also needs to be more research so that balanced, independent support can be provided to individuals seeking reassignment. The last thing we want are people making rushed or even pressurised decisions that can change their lives permanently. It's not about JK Rowling and what toilet someone uses. It's about real people and helping and understanding them as a society.

@@UwUImShio I don’t see what’s confusing about it. If you listen to multiple detransitioners talk about their experiences, then yes it makes sense. Body dysmorphia, especially surrounding changes to your body during puberty, can easily be mistaken for gender dysphoria. It’s not difficult to see how disliking your body during/after puberty could be confused for being trans. If you hate growing curves or getting your period & feel extremely uncomfortable about the key features of being a woman, does that mean you could possibly be a boy? There’s also general body dysmorphia not related to puberty, of course, that can still be mistaken for discomfort with your gender. Body dysmorphia can result in people wanting to change their body. Gender dysphoria can result in people wanting to change their body. It’s only when detransitioners get older that they realise what they were actually dealing with was hatred of their body, rather than their gender.

    Poor kid.
    Eloquent, intelligent and insightful.
It just goes to show that, at that age; someone so self-possessed can be misled and influenced by partisan actors, in positions of "authority" or "mentorship".
I remember my experiences when younger, of tolerating gay men's attempts to convince me that I was "completely gay"; whenever they learned (or sensed) that I had enjoyed non-heterosexual relationships in the past.
Many non-heterosexual individuals consider it a victory to conquer a "non-gay" sexual partner. They take pride in fostering others upon any LGBT+ path; and they consider it a personal, social and political victory; to see others pass thresholds of non-heterosexuality.
For example, a first gay experience; a coming out; a new gay experience (such as visiting a gay bar or sauna) and so on, are all considered *triumphs* by the "mentor" who introduces "newbies" "chickens" or others to these things.
And of course transgenderism and gender reassignment are a real thrill, for partisan "mentors" involved in those processes.
Of course, Gay and other LGBT+ individuals take political pride, in "standing their ground" and "promoting the cause"; which makes them *partisan* voices who "guide" those less aware and more vulnerable individuals into novel and unknown places!
Gender identity and sexuality are choices that people should make INDEPENDENTLY, once FULLY AND OPENLY INFORMED; and once they POSSESS THE MATURITY AND KNOWLEDGE to decide for themselves, knowing what consequences may or may not be!

It's very easy to blame the doctors, but Ritchie and others who have regrets need to take responsibility for his/their own actions. No one forced him/them; they made the decision themselves! I am a medical professional and I have had a few males and females come to my office inquiring about and requesting to begin the transition process. Most have been middle age to older patients, with the oldest being in his 80s. Many are curious and want information but there are some, they tend to be younger (early twenties), who are adamant about what they want and demand, sometimes quite rudely, to start the process immediately without exploring the reasons for their decision. I never allow any patients to bulldoze over me. This process is permanent and these individuals need help processing and understanding their motives, the risks and the consequences of such a procedure. So, before they begin any hormone treatments through my office or through a specialist, they have to be seen by a psychologist for a few months. It's disappointing that these procedures are being performed in some cases with minimal discretion and it's sad that people seek out these services without truly understanding themselves or the consequences.

Even in the areas of depression, symptoms are treated before ascertaining the causes and dealing with those first! Medicine needs to remove reliance on drug therapies and find treatments for CAUSES, and symptoms will remove themselves!

I know what it is like to experience gender confusion, and I'm thankful to God that I never sought hormones or surgeries. We will never be made whole if we live a lie. We need to accept the truth. The burning pain and emptiness in my soul never went away until I surrendered my life completely to Jesus Christ. I could trust Him because I know He is true, that He loves us, and wants what is best for us. We must repent from our sins and idols if we truly want to heal. The Holy Spirit can give us strength to overcome temptation. Jesus Christ is the only way we can be saved from our sins and reconciled with our holy Creator God. I can wholeheartedly say that the Holy Spirit has given me peace unlike anything this world can ever offer and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Please choose truth, agape love, peace, and joy over the fleeting things of this world. We can only find healing in Jesus.

While this young man regrets his transition, many transgendered individuals do not. Statistics do indicate a small percentage of those who transition regret the process due to misdiagnosis from unqualified or predatory medical professionals or other factors. However, I emphatically believe the regrets of the few does not speak for or shud not determine the fate of the many. There are more individuals who do not regret their transition n many others who await the opportunity to transition. I support all transgendered individuals, whether in body or mind, n hope they continue to have the option to legally transition. N when they do, that they are cared for by qualified, intuitive professionals n supported by parents n loved ones who are involved with the development of these children n adults so misdiagnosis can be prevented in the future. It's not just on the impersonal physician to make the decision -- it's the individual n those who know n love them best who help the individual make a fully informed choice to transition or not.

Remember there are exceptions, and some exceptions may be more common than others. Be careful not to over-generalize and lump every reassignment case into a "regretful" label. Everyone has their own stories, and not every person is the same. Please don't be tempted to group this story in as an example of ALL reassignments. From what I hear, many, for ever regret there are 10 people who do not look back. Everyone is free to do with our bodies what they please. Governments AND Churches need to stop trying to police our bodies.

The bit for me in this whole case was when he took a family member l think it was his Mother to say he was having second thoughts and he was still manipulated to go ahead. Total disrespect. I think it is £600,000 per op they get. Maybe they had gambling or drug debt to pay.

Trans people are medical patients for life. They have to take the hormones for life. And so many of the surgeries have complications and need more surgery….and problems like Urinary tract infections, fistulas , problems urination or ability to control urination, so the trans person will be going to a doctor for a long time. And that means lots and lots of money form the medical system.

What should be resolved legally are the conditions (abuse) and the now acceptable psycholgical conditioning which convince these kids AND THEIR PARENTS that this aberrant thinking is acceptable. Cannot blame the doctors, they have been equally affected.

Are you trans!? If not you have no idea on the procedure you have to go through to have surgery, this person just made a bad decision but was not pushed, people think they are trans when they are not then blame the medical & other people when they realise they are not trans which then make it hard for real trans people to have their life saving procedures

They do push , the doctors want to move on to the next patient. It’s in their best interest to get the next victim going on hormones and ready for the chop shop.

Surgeons and surgery departments get NHS grants to exist based upon the number of operations, if the surgery team does not do enough operations to meet the numbers, they either lose grants (loss of personnel/jobs) or even the surgery team shut down completely, this is why you hear constantly about pressure to operate this includes cancer diagnosis as a lot of operations are done when later biopsis done on the parts cut out/off are found not to be cancerous. This person was caught up in this type of pressure.
