This is Action mini 5" black & white TV was released in 1989.
Action mini car TV produced in 1989 made in Malaysia.
after plug the power cable (12V) there is no sound or picture.
I will disassembly it and I will check the power supply, I think the problem in power supply.
When I was young I always watch these TVs with a kind of passion, and I was wondering about this great technology that was made in the palm of my hands, That's why I love these TVs and I have a lot .of them

I literally had this TV as a teenager in the 90s. I distinctly remember watching the USA beat Graham Taylor's England 2 nil in 93 while in my bunkbed with this on a shelf above it!

I certainly remember my grandma giving me her old tv, it was a small Sanyo with a handle on top. I used to bring the whole thing with me everytime we went to the market or whatever so i can play with my sister. What a good times indeed.
I can't be the only one who saw him cut off a resistor with kitchen shears then replace it with a fuse. Those aren't the same thing dude! Cosmetically though, great job. Also at the end, it helps if your SNES is turned on and playing the actual game that's on that cartridge.

@@SociedadeAmetista Pretty much., RUclips is full of fake restoration videos. He did a nice job of cleaning up this TV, but the electronics repair is temporary at best and the footage of the game at the end is totally faked.
I did not see that part.. but some fuses resemble resistors.. was it a solid color? Or did it have bands ?

Appeared to replace high value resistor with a fuse! Simply unbelievable. Please prove me wrong. In any case fuses only blow for a reason.
Made in Malaysia 🇲🇾 This brand was famous in my country long time ago but now the manufacturer was discontinued. I also had one but mine colour it's black bought in 2003. Now the tv was gone bcoz no one can fix it anymore 🥲 glad to seeing you fix this television from A to Z 👍
Many people can fix CRTs. Just not this guy.

I had one of those!!
My mother had a portable black and white TV with a radio back in the early 80’s. She had it in the kitchen for a long time. Even used it in my father’s van to watched TV in the back of it. My mother did still have it before she passed away. It still did work on the radio. The TV was no use in today’s modern TVS that are out now these days.
I had the same sort of thing in fact I had 2 of them throughout the years back in the day and it was still knocking about in my mum's old house in the 00's until she sold the house and downsized a load of old junk got dashed.
i remember back in the mid 80s, we had this and frequent bring this out on a picnic.. this does bring back memories...
Memories. When I was in universally, I had a 5-inch B-W TV that I took with me everywhere. Mine also had an AM-FM radio, so I could get both cable TV and cable radio.
The scariest part, at least for me, is that 1989, 35 years ago, seems just like yesterday!

It's a made in Malaysia, Rebadged Samsung. The tube part is from Korea and can see the old 80's to '93 logo.
Those were really fun. I wish someone would make a modern equivalent.

Back in 1985,86 wasn't an antique. A 1.5 inch B/W TV with a slip on magnifier..very cool. Battery or plug.

2. Зачем он заменил резистор в блоке питания на предохранитель?
Потому что это был низкоомный резистор включенный как предохранитель

This (and your other mini TV video(s)) are pretty important for anyone who doubts the legitimacy of your work. I hate even saying this but there's a lot of fake "rustoration" videos and they really bother a lot of people.
You are handling CRT TVs. Even in a little handheld TV set like these, that is NOT to be done lightly. They are very high voltage.
You handle them properly, safely, and repair things accordingly. Major props to you, your restoration work is great.
I really like this TV set. It's cute and surprisingly, provides a good image.

I had a pink mini tv in 1989. Some guy on the street approached me and asked me if I wanted to buy it from him for $20. I asked "How do I know it even works? There's nowhere to plug it in. I'll make you a deal. I'm not going to risk $20 on something that might not work, but I will risk ten. Take it or leave it." It worked. I gave it to my sports fanatic brother for his bathroom so he wouldn't miss those touchdowns or home runs when nature called.

It tries to pick the channel but unable to do it . What could be the reason??
On some channel soud is clear but picture doesn't appears only those black dots .
