I have this keyboard and one day I spilled soda on it. I thought it’s already ruined anyways so why not try putting it in the dishwasher. I did and it cleaned it like new. I plugged it into the computer. It was dead. BUT after a few days I tried again and it worked. So after that any time it got dirty I’d do the same thing. Dishwasher. Keep it facing down over the sink for a day or two so the water will drain out and then plug it back in. It’s never failed. I’m typing this comment on it now. I’ve done this at least 50 times
@@EPICLULZ123 no I don’t spill stuff on it that often. I put my keyboard in there every few weeks to keep it clean and fresh feeling. You should see how often I wash my hands lol
Yeah no. Nobody listen to this. A keyboard is full of electronic components and you will permanently kill it. The water will fry it plus the amount of heat loosen all the glue on the chips. It will not work. This is almost microwaving your phone level bullshit.
Amazes me that this keyboard's only from 2003. It looks so much older at the start of the video, like something from the '80s. _Wow._ I've taken apart my old MacBook Pro (2008) to replace the keyboard and the trackpad (and to clean it out), but never to this extent. I'm amazed / impressed.
I started working for AppleCare in 2008, and I had one of these keyboards for near 5 years. Never reached this level of grimy, but nostalgic to see one resto’d. 😊
This was my absolute all time favourite keyboard. It’s incredibly satisfying and nostalgic to see you clean it up so beautifully. How I would love to have one of these now 😊
Instead of using soap and water to clean the keys, use a jar with vinegar. You can stir in baking soda. Just make sure it doesn't get too out of hand reacting. It will work better, less scrubbing.
Je n’avais jamais vu de restauration d’électronique. Je garde toujours mon imac, clavier, pad sous un grand foulard quand je ne m’en sers pas. C’est facile et ça m’évitera d’avoir à retirer toutes les touches pour nettoyer entre elles
An ultrasonic cleaner could help clean gunk out from keys and other small parts much faster than scrubbing every piece by hand. It can get in tiny crevices too!
How come the keyboard goes into that position in the first place? I have a keyboard from 2012, never washed. Just blow out the dust through the blower. still working great. Hmm, I can do the makeup like that on the keyboard for YT. Pretty smart It would be great if you could mention how the keyboard becomes like that.
abi seni çooook takdir ediyorum başta nasıl sonda nasıl ya ayrıca yeni abonen, like atanın ve bildirimleri açanın oldu seni çok sevdim abi(ya da abla =D)
6:05 forbidden candy... in all seriousness, there's something about seeing the interior components of these electronics that knocks something inside my brain, like, the last person to see this was a worker in a Malaysian factory 20-odd years ago, i wonder what their life is like, if they're alive, if they're still working in assembly, do they have a family, a partner, a home? i hope they were able to scrape together a somewhat comfortable life. also those seed things under the keys look to be pumpkin seeds
Melamine sponges are the work of HEAVEN! Seriously whoever invented those things needs to be given praise FOREVER! They are lifesaving!!!
Agreed+Me too+yeah

Bro how often are you spilling things on your keyboard?! 50 times?? Surely that’s a joke?

First, if I did this, I would NEVER in a million years be able to put this back together! Second, brilliant job! 👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰

There was a whole ecosystem in that keyboard 😅 Very satisfying video
Even the keyboard was asking for help lmao 0:17

looks amazing i never thought a keyboard that dirty could ever recover
That was and still is a great keyboard to type on, good work
Yeah, I agree 👍🏻, It's 2024 already and I still use this keyboard with Windows 11.
I use it with my Studio M1 Ultra and even have an extra on standby. Great keyboard.
2:01 Seriously!? A condom wrapper! 😂
Exactly right yeah
Strawberry flavored? Maybe they thought it was gum.

Just my type of video. GET IT? TYPE?! Here all week. :D
Thanks for the visit
Apple really was ahead of the keyboard game back in the day I'm surprised this keyboard was made 20 years ago it looks like something made today
This is what I call entertaining
Don’t mind people who are hating on you just ignore them you’re doing good
Regardless on if it was dirty before or if he dirtied it himself, the cleaning is all real which is the impressive part
この動画好きすぎて何回も見ちゃいます😂nice Video❤
Beautiful restauration, congratulations!
Thank you very much!
A fantastic job. Thanks.
Amazing work!!

It's a Swedish keyboard, so the extra A's are actually Å and Ä, the extra O is Ö

Great 👍 work ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
awesome. you did a great job cleaning. if it were me, instead of cleaning I would go buy a new keyboard right away😄
Wow After cleaning it like see a brandnew keyboard.
Greetings from Germany
Impressive! And so satisfying!
Keep making videos like this they’re soooooooo Awesome 🎉😊
Those were pumpkin seeds. Roasted, I bet. Yummy!!!
This looks beautiful, my first Apple keyboard too!
처음에 원래 그렇게 나온 레트로 키보드인줄알고 와 이쁘다 햇는데 ㅎㅎ
I've never seen a keyboard with that many screws 😮
15:02 Ahhhhh. That part is so satisfying in 2× speed!🤤
Glad you enjoy it!
Yes! The key installation sequence was mesmerizing.
I like how you can see all the scorch marks from when it was artificially yellowed for "restoration"
Como de costumbre excelente trabajo, MAESTRO!👏👏👏

Another great relaxing vid. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Incredible! Such patience 👏
I much prefer the old fashioned high ‘clacky’ keys. It’s satisfying to work on. Can’t stand the flatter, quiet keys .
So the principle to whitening plastic is to expose it to ultra violet light? If yes very interesting. Great job, congrats!
In combination with 12% H2O2 gel.

Great asmr
I really like the video but the Durex disturbed me for a second, how does the packaging get in there
2:00 100% pumpkin seeds 😂
I like restoration videos, but I have no idea if this is a setup or not. I hope not. But really a part of a durex wrapped in the keyboard.
With the amount of nicotine staining on the keyboard, it makes me wonder if the original owner is still alive….
I like this Chanel from today
Great work
Sooo much satisfaction omg
⌨the old Macintosh keyboard 👍

For those wondering - "hair oxygen creme" is peroxide.
Those, on 1:54 are pumkin seeds peels, in Mexico we call them 'pepitas'.
