Love your vids, would you mind telling me where you find all your rusted gems? I also love restoring rusted things and would enjoy having some new projects :)
Can we just take a moment and appreciate the high level of production on these videos? They are just so gorgeous and I love how gentle the audio is and how much care has obviously been put into making sure both of those things are true.
My daughter and I love your videos! She’s 10yrs old and being autistic (as am I) she finds both your rust-restoration AND retro-brighting videos equally fascinating! I’m a scientist by training and so I’m so happy that she’s found these wonderfully diverse applications of chemistry and physics as interesting as I do 😊

Even if the keyboard had been in perfect condition and had only been disassembled, cleaned and reassembled, it would have been a very satisfying video. Congratulations and thank you!
Cute touch at the end and really shows the contrast. I think to then go and dye those four keys something like bright orange will be a really cool look.
@@thomaskrafft9890 Those four keys are often assigned the arrow keys in PC games, so highlighting those 4 makes sense. As to why they were left faded - I assume it was just as a comparison between how gross they were and how he’s able to get the other keys to look like brand new.
This is very good! Too many videos are just people slowly bulding og taking things apart. I prefer the narrated ones, but this style is also very nice.
I love how you used the sieve to hold the rubber key contactors while you cleaned them. I did that once when trying to clean and fix one of my old controllers.
The squishing sound when pressing the key in the beginning really did it for me. Jesus, how can you neglect a keyboard this much? Edit: Keeping the WASD keys in their yellowed condition is actually an awesome Idea and you certainly earned yourself a Like on this Video.

Still love you though.
that “chwk chwk” with the tweezers at 2:18 was very satisfying ahahah it’s really incredible how you bring back life to these things. one would assume they’re totally wrecked but no! anything your hand touches becomes bright, clean and functioning ❤
Nice work! Maybe you are already aware of this, but when returning screws to the plastic threads, first reverse it (unscrew) until they drop a bit. Then you can start screwing them as you will be sure they go into same old thread. Otherwise, you will create new thread in the plastic and you risk stripping the thread completely...

I have no idea why, but you cleaning the ribbons so gently just made me feel happy inside. Im not even in the electronics field which is weird.

Yes, Tysy Tube, the original. So many imitators out there now but you are still the best in this category.
Appreciate that🤩
Other people who make these videos are imitators for wanting to do this exact thing?
