That's a real dirty PC man, not faked. If you've ever worked on a computer you can telol the difference by how the dirt settled and stuck. It only does it that why when it has set for a very long time. Not everything on here is fake, numb nuts.

    • @olepigeon

Commercial electronics are typically washed with deionized water as the last cleaning step, then put through a drying oven. You can clean electronics at home with regular water, but the trick is to make sure there isn't any residue and/or mineral deposits left over. First step is to remove any socketed ICs. Next clean with tap water + regular dish soap. Give a good scrub. Then rinse with deionized water or isopropyl alcohol. Leave to dry for about a day. Helps to place it next to a fan. Put chips back in.

common sense you nut. Thermal paste does not dry after that long. and that thermal paste application is thin. it won't spread out as much. water does not damage the computer unless you don't dry it propperly.

Water itself isn’t dangerous, it’s the conducive metal and salt residues that remains after drying, which can cause a short or corrosion. Depending on the water makeup, the risk will be higher or lower for damage, but always present. The right way is to use distilled water and specialty PCB detergent.

I've cleaned this Mac as well. Even with the full dusty machine, after everything is disassembled, the good old soft paint brush does the trick. Sure, it takes time and effort, but that'a how it's done. Air compressor doesn't really work, because it leaves the thin dust layer. As for washing the components, savage! Also, never put the case on the floor, because it gathers the dust so fast and too much that in the end everything inside looks like a jungle. Put it on the table instead and clean it every 6-12 months. That way you don't need a deep cleaning like this.
