I love this quote!! 57:39 "The pursuit of money and everything that you think around money is really not the pursuit. The pursuit is to find who you're supposed to be in this world, figure out your gift, and to share it with as many people as possible. And when you do that, I can only guarantee you one part of the equation: You'll be happy. And you'll die a happy person." The whole video was fascinating... thank you so much!
What about "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. and to 'Love your neighbor as yourself'" ? Wisdom should be the guiding principle in how we identify, develop, and employ our gifts, ensuring that our actions align with God's will and serve His purposes rather than our own ambitions or desires. That all our pursuits, including the development and use of our gifts, should be undertaken with a primary focus on glorifying God and advancing His kingdom, guided by prayerful consideration and a deep desire to do His will.

One thing is for sure: Chris is a real unapologetic human being and I admire his self acceptance. Not afraid to say it how it is regardless of offense towards others. It’s just who he is and who he won 🥇 which is his authenticity.
At the age of 47 and with what feels like a lifetime of following other’s “shoulds”, i’m finally giving myself permission to be myself. Thanks for helping me to uncover my truth Chris
That's courage❤ congratulations on the beginnings finding you. Breaking free from the bonds of others is not always easy. I'm so happy for your new journey my friend
I've been watching Chris's videos way before I decided to pursue my graphic design degree, his genuine philosophy and approach to design sets him apart. Respect sir.
And he kindly shares it with the world. You people get fooled everywhere you turn. These dudes have no talent. They just sell you useless information. Why would someone tell the entire world how to build a successful brand, if they really knew how? They would keep it for themselves. This is the most naive era and the fallout will be unreal.
I feel like it finally "clicked" and i finally know what exactly , and WHO exactly a brand IS. This "understanding" is going to help me greatly. I loved your example/story of "everything is connected"
I love how you speak on the different layers of design in a philosophical way. It's refreshing but also helps others connect more to their work and craft.
Lighthearted perfectionist here. ☺ Was even inspired to write a post on Facebook about me being a perfectionist and another story on Medium recommending this exercise. Thank you for the fun and practical exercise!
Ok. So this is the first video I have ever seen that explains why I do not make content. I hate being fake. And making bs videos to sell myself to others makes me freeze up because I know I am not being genuine. So I am going to do this exercise to find my words. Damn. Thank you brother.
As of late, I have been reflecting on authenticity and living with out fear of being yourself. It sounds so simple, but the majority of people are scared to be themselves, fear of judgment, losing friends, family etc. but this is essential to not only a life of fulfillment, but Ofcourse attracting your audience.
As a lightworker and a growing healer and soul retriever, hearing Chris touch up on these deep topics rang my soul alive. Yes it is true. There are some here who remembers the real hystory. The ones before earth became quarantined.❤ besides that great content. I am currently applying this. And I intent to talk about spirituality and AI on RUclips channel going forward. Thanks..
Absolutely I have seen many personal brands get change by changing the word from negative to positive, and this example here 16:32 is one of them that shows how to transfer your ideas.
Basically, bask in who you are and get comfortable with accepting it- alignment with self is the key here 🔑 Another great Saturday morning with Chris & Co!
JUST A FEEDBACK. Great conversartion, I am listening it wile I work, those audio effects of the phrases get in the way a little bit as I listen to it. Thank you for the content, it is really enriching.
thank you so much for letting this masterclass free on youtube. I found it by accident and it hits me instanly. All of the conversation is very useful for me. i will put it in practice and see the result
Thank you Chris. Really valuable insights. I am from Argentina, living in Dubai and working in the construction and architectural industry. Most people don’t realize these things.
The graphics are a nice touch, but is there any willingness to lose the sound effects? I clicked on an hour video, I know what I’m getting into, and don’t need artificial stimulants to retain me. Great topic. Provoking point with the “businesses may not actually have a brand” point
At 25:48 you mention you are remembering things as you get older. That has been so true for me. Especially since becoming a parent, it’s like these memories are being unlocked.
I am in the right place at the right time! I was on a 2.5 year hiatus from the design world and I’m starting anew. I’m so grateful to have came across your content. Much Love and thanks for sharing your knowledge! 🤗🎨
Wow I’m just 15mins through and there’s already so many life lessons there that made me reflect on my life! Also Chris is such a great orator and knows how to draw people in and keep then engaged.
For the question on building the personal brand versus a design studio brand or the clout, I feel the studio would be an extension. For a general example, Batman. Think of him as who he is, what his brand is. And then think of the justice league. The justice league is more than one person but each one stands out on their own.
This has got to be one of the greatest videos I've watched in a while. I've watched it 3x and can't stop taking notes. Amazing That a video about content and marketing will also resonate deeply inside of a person bringing healing and introspection. You could put this video on a sunday morning in church, and people will be free.❤❤🔥🔥🔥
Hey everyone, I've been reflecting on common challenges we face in expressing ourselves, like struggling to articulate thoughts or feeling misunderstood. These issues can lead to missed opportunities and strained relationships. Drawing from timeless wisdom, I've found inspiration in the effectiveness of religious messages in connecting with their audience. By recognizing these patterns, we can empower ourselves and others to find our voice authentically and make a meaningful impact. It's interesting how everyone talks about creating a cult-like following, but few discuss the authentic communication behind it. How do you think we can cultivate genuine connections and empower others to find their voice? I thank you Chris and your team for creating this video and the 1000 others. I hope this could help at least one person and my dream is to help the futur grow as well, maybe this is what they’re missing.
Person : "Asks Question" Chris : *gives one of the most layered, esoteric discourses of a response that would absolutely tear the fabric of reality and obliterate the sheer understanding of the human mind upon most philosophical discussions* Person: "... soooooo"
This was really helpful, as a young person that is trying to figure out where to go, and how to tell the truth and live up to what I feel is my calling. Thank you for sharing this content, and helping. Telling a story is a great way to engage, and I look forward to seeing what the future has!
This video brought a lot of emotions to the surface. Emotions such as sadness but also hope and fire. I think those feelings came up because I’ve spent so much of my life just trying to fit in. To be accepted into the group. Wanted. I have always been an outsider and a lot of pain has come from that. I dont know exactly what my purpose is or how to leave my mark on this world but, after this video, I’m starting to think my strength could be with that outsider identity. Anyways, thank you so much for this video!
And once again this video couldn't have come at a better time. I'm in the midst of figuring stuff out and have finally commit to my purpose and tribe and this video helped me to reassure, that i should pursue this, even if it's just for the happiness and not necessarily for the money. Thanks Chris!
I have been working as a cook for 27 years, mainly because I believed it was my forte. Over the past 10 years, I have built a reputation for myself, opened multiple award-winning restaurants, but I have been the most unhappy person. I tried to blame the industry and the partners who took advantage of me throughout the years. Two months ago, I lost my restaurant due to abusive partners. Since then, I have been feeling depressed and angry, constantly reflecting on those negative experiences and trying to find my true identity. In the past two weeks, I have taken the time to open my eyes to what I truly love, even though I have been discouraged from pursuing it. Everything leads me to visual arts and design. However, I have been insecure, fearing that I might be too old to start or not good enough. After watching this video, I now feel confident that this is what I want to do and dedicate the rest of my time to learning and pursuing. It has also made me realize that it's my own actions that have led me here, and I should stop blaming others for not following my passion. Thank you for sharing this amazing video
wrote down my shadow words and nothing short of a rebirth is going to transform it. But love your videos. I don't think I will ever have the courage to put myself out their and build a personal brand but I just love your videos from a psychology perspective.
Now that I think about it, I discovered my passion for video editing when I was away from my country and parents, had no problem trying different things and didn't have any issues to think about. After discovering it, I got from freelance to agency by Chris's guidance. So yeah I think to find out what makes you happy, you need to be isolated by other things that effect your thoughts/behaviour and try whatever you think might work. Although, if you don't have money, it's going to be much harder to do all of these. But I hope everyone become a billionaire by their heart
Thank you for sharing. It's helpful for me who are on the way to find myself. I now understand why I can't do it because I'm not willing to to show up and and show myself. There is 1 thing that makes me hesitate to share: I am nothing; who will listen to my problems, my stories?
I ran into Chris in person a couple weeks ago, and he's such a sweet guy. I watched this entire video with a pen and paper and here's what I learned: 1. Write down everything you hate about yourself, and what people probably hate about you. Use those words + a transformer word to build your personal brand. 2. Be truthful in your content-not because "vulnerability" is the trendy thing to do, but because it is what is right. (DON'T manufacture false trauma just to fit in.) 3. Make content as if you were writing it to yourself in your journal. 4. Tell stories that make you look bad, then teach how you grew from it. If you are the hero of the story 100% of the time, no one will trust you. Thank you, Chris!
Hook(ed), line, and sinker in the first 5 minutes (& 30 sec). And, I mean I couldn’t stop listening off the jump. Even if you’re cognisant of these things, you hold them, you’re experienced enough to go off script with them? As you continue listening to Chris, do you STILL get invaluable new ways to put things, thus it’s a new path in your tool kit? It’s like being shown yet ANOTHER path, and maybe you wonder, “Huh.. can I find new branches that come off this?” Do you still learn invaluable new stuff, too? Maybe that all sounds crazy to do, but that’s what I do, and that’s what happens for me every time -without exception. That’s a pretty stellar track record Chris.. no pressure! Lol 🤝
An insightful masterclass indeed! This comprehensive guide to personal branding emphasizes the essence of authenticity, self-acceptance, and storytelling in building a memorable brand. The emphasis on embracing both strengths and vulnerabilities resonates deeply, offering invaluable insights for anyone navigating the journey of professional identity development. A must-watch for graphic designers, marketers, and all seeking to stand out in today's competitive landscape.
Woooo! I was drawn to finish the entire video because there were so many hooks in there, l just wanted to know more and more what's next. This was super helpful, thank you
There is such a great wealth of knowledge within Chris and I am so grateful he is sharing it. Watching this particular video I occasionally felt he was sending out some scolding vibes.
Great masterclass, super useful, as always. I relate to the idea of being allergic to people constantly trying to sell you something online these days. And people only talking about how successful they are. I agree that there's plenty of it and it's not exciting anymore. BUT. I feel like that might be the winner strategy? Because so many people are attracted to these success stories and like to see how well someone is doing. They want to learn from them and get inspired. Yeah it might not be us (however, I used to follow quite a lot of people like this) but plenty of other people would follow those successful people selling something rather than vulnerable, honest and 'too clever to sell' ones...
I listened to this again yet another take out Chris trying to another the first lady's question through what he called critical thinking using define and clear words, according to Chris Word shapes Thinking and Action. I just love how He did that 👏🏻
Absolutely LOVED this content! Thank you 👏 you’ve given me a whole new vision for my channel that I’ve been trying to build when all along I just needed to look within instead of trying to build strictly from the exterior world 👍
Happy New Year Eve!! This is my 1st times listening to you. I loved your message and advice that you shared in this video. Very informative, now I have work to do for 2024.
@@thefutur ooh! Good question, I think the best way I can explain it, I was going through what we’ll just call “life” and at the time I took everything that I felt, good, bad and otherwise and I put it onto a greeting card. And I was somehow able to turn all the bad stuff into something that lit me (and a lot of people up). Apols in advance for the language - My biz is called K*NTY KARDS. Kards you’ll swear by 💌😅 we’re all about those small insignificant life moments where you feel completely understood. I’m not sure if I crossed over into my corporate branding there but we just say it how it is :)
The whole biz has been a massive part of my healing journey and getting back to square one, finding my voice etc and having to do a lot of that on my own, so figured if I can help someone not take life so seriously or if I can make one person smile - it might not feel so lonely.
Unbelievable! So much great insights. The more I go through of crafting my personal branding, the more complex it gets. I initially thought that it's about visually appealing style and organization but there's more to it. I've got a long way but I guess I just have to push through and enjoy the process. While watching and listening, trying to absorb such as much information as I can. I now think that personal branding is somewhat about self-governing, self-discovery and leadership that's within you, your value proposition, beliefs, how do you see yourself and how do you want people to see you and how do you want to influence them while not giving in to the fear of what people saying what "you should do." Once the personal brand has developed a strong foundation and gets influential, it then goes from "I" to "we" and "our" shared within the brand cult. Not sure if I'm making sense with my throughts right now. hahaha
Ive had to put this on my watch later, having to pop out to work, only watched 20min, and already Iam like wow. I feel now I can go out there and talk about my bladder issues which Ive had for 23yrs of struggle, and the course I am learning to help me strenthen my Plevic Floor muscles, which I also want to help men and women to strenthen. how the NHS just pushed me around and said live with it. its all to do with age and child birth its not its not learning from a young age how to keep the Pelvic Floor strong. just so we can carry on buying adult nappies, which by the way cost a fortune. I am so glad I stumbled across you Thank you
Chris, thank you a lot, Brother! Your words are resonating with my soul, but not resonating with some of the troubles around us nowadays - I’m from Ukraine 🇺🇦, Odessa - and when I’m focused on those bad things I’m starting going the wrong direction. You get back me to the right direction, and right at this moment we’re evolving our MakeING Team’s website and Upwork account and i just shared your video with my teammates and asked to watch it carefully. Because it’s changing everything - not stupid 5 stars ⭐️, but honest and interesting story of our challenges. Thank you for existence and your Truth 🤝 Be healthy ✊🏻
Love the content! Can I just say something about the video edit itself? There are too many SFX on the titles. Instead of highlighting Chris's bullet points, they are distracting. I almost want to close the tab because of them, but I'm tolerating it because I really want to hear the rest of Chris's talk haha. Thanks again for the great content. - A motion designer/editor
Just chiming in to say that longform intimate videos like this one from The Futur are always classics because we love feeling like we’re sitting right there with Chris, learning firsthand from him. We’ll happily watch stuff like this uninterrupted cuz I would argue that this audience has the attention span! lol Thank you so much for delivering yet another great resource. ❤
First one to consume this value and to like. Wishing you guys a happy ending 2023. Forgive my English I'm from Tanzania, Africa here we speak Swahili frequently. 🇹🇿 I love these classes 🤣
How did 544k ppl watch this n 16k give a thumbs up? I as i was watching i thought tomyself that i told myself that i im “unique” or one of the non-mainstream ones n thats why i standout even though i dont want to, but really maybe im a super ordinary plain vanilla who wanted to be seen so did everything to stand out. Then i smiled at my phone in feeling great. Now i see the number of views n likes n am wondering did the like button dissappear for some viewers. Anyway, loved it. Idk how i didnt come across this guy before(maybe cz i didnt search “personal branding on social media” before) , he seems famous.
yo watching this was so inspiring bro, thank you for sharing so much wisdom and being yourself, this helped me with a lot of things internally and gave me many cool insights 🙏❤
I love his hat, and I LOVE his message. It matches mine. All of it resonates with me. I can't be bothered with chasing only attracting and inspiring others. I love the tribal concept and his appeal to our primal instincts coupled with the advantage of modern tech. Great video. The realest!!! ❤❤❤
32:38 Thanks for opening up about stuff man.. that was profoundly moving at times when you were opening up about becoming the true you and not trying to hide you any more.. it's something I've really struggled with for a long time as i used to get punished really hard when i was me or tried to stick up for me (in adult life too it happens over and over again where people are abusive to me but then when i stick up for myself i get told I'm the bad guy and they ignore all the pushing and abuse they did to me) i keep hugely undervaluing my work too, my ceramics, my songs, ME.. I've been single 20 years or so now and just keep hiding the true me from the world.. I'm getting better at being the true me but i keep on getting hit hard for it by people who just don't get why a ceramic should be valued at the price i set it (they want real hand crafted art level ceramics for £20) but I'm still trying.. you opening up helps loads thanks Best wishes to you and yours from Rolland in Scotland 1:00:49
14:55 17:00 how did negative word become advantage 18:00 now have a story 24:55 those who had really hurt stories had most engagement 26:50 studio brand as 1 28:20 32:55 his dark side accepted it He can be rude and that’s who he is Was a time in his life where he would’ve done anything to get your approval
Something which I think the conclusion of vid is the philosophy of why ? really matters to the products how ? the why explains the products brand image. And integrating the thought why is something designed the way it is into designing a, brand makes it better. Thank you for the great vid. Ive started out doing brand studies. Currently doing Mercedes.
I love this quote!! 57:39 "The pursuit of money and everything that you think around money is really not the pursuit.
You need to make sure you can survive first. Then you can explore what brings you joy.
I love it, too. I get it. It happened for me in the valley. I'm not a beast at it, but I'm open to being that. 😊
Thank you for sharing. It's helpful for me who are on the way to find myself. I now understand why I can't do it because I'm not willing to to show up and and show myself. There is 1 thing that makes me hesitate to share: I am nothing; who will listen to my problems, my stories?
Definitely implementing these steps, beautifully curated and I can't wait to experience the practice! 💯
I ran into Chris in person a couple weeks ago, and he's such a sweet guy. I watched this entire video with a pen and paper and here's what I learned:
1. Write down everything you hate about yourself, and what people probably hate about you. Use those words + a transformer word to build your personal brand.
2. Be truthful in your content-not because "vulnerability" is the trendy thing to do, but because it is what is right. (DON'T manufacture false trauma just to fit in.)
3. Make content as if you were writing it to yourself in your journal.
4. Tell stories that make you look bad, then teach how you grew from it. If you are the hero of the story 100% of the time, no one will trust you.
Thank you, Chris!
good notes. where did we meet?

Love the message.
Personal branding is about your personality.
Not about the language or product
Lol 🤝
No pressure. 😅
This was super helpful, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
"If you show up and pretend to be someone you are not for a long enough - you forget who the hell you are"
There is such a great wealth of knowledge within Chris and I am so grateful he is sharing it. Watching this particular video I occasionally felt he was sending out some scolding vibes.
Always adding Value! Thanks Chris I will see you soon!
Chris is a zen master. Who am I is an eternal philosophical question. And he explains it so easily. ❤❤❤ 🙏
Welcome to the Futur
Genius to be able to capture this concept. That’s it. Formula if the value is there.
I loooove this I’ve built my small biz based purely on my shadow self and it’s not for everyone, but it works!!
Amazing. Please share.
The actual business side to it kind of naturally followed with the story
Love your videos. I watch them at least twice a piece! Thanks for helping me.
Thank you x 2
Chris is pure wisdom ...
Not sure if I'm making sense with my throughts right now. hahaha
This was sooo good. Glad I ran across it.
Another gem from Chris Do. Amazing and truly engaging conversations.
Second! Haha, love your videos. My buisness has grown so much because of your content. Thankyou!
Fantastic!
I listened to Chris’ podcast interview with Sean Cannell (Think Podcast) this week. I learned so much…💪🏽
Great to hear!
Can’t imagine what you are going through. Hoping for peaceful resolution soon.
@@thefutur thank you very much 🙏🏻🍀 You’re the man of Light - let’s do that work for It - it has a big value. Thank you for that! 🤝
I’ve driven by Teri & Yaki a thousand times but have never been inside. I’m going to give them a try now thanks to Chris Do’s endorsement.
Let me know
Love this content..
Worthiest hour of the day,
Thank you Chris and Futur Team
"I'm just tired of people trying to sell me something" 100% on point
Love the content! Can I just say something about the video edit itself? There are too many SFX on the titles. Instead of highlighting Chris's bullet points, they are distracting. I almost want to close the tab because of them, but I'm tolerating it because I really want to hear the rest of Chris's talk haha. Thanks again for the great content. - A motion designer/editor
Couldn't agree more, the sound effects and visuals detract from the talking, they don't add.
Some audience members are the distraction. The fact Chris keeps going unflustered by that...way more tolerance than I have
Thank you for the feedback
I agree. They are super distracting for me too.
Just chiming in to say that longform intimate videos like this one from The Futur are always classics because we love feeling like we’re sitting right there with Chris, learning firsthand from him. We’ll happily watch stuff like this uninterrupted cuz I would argue that this audience has the attention span! lol
Thank you so much for delivering yet another great resource. ❤
I listened to this like an audiobook was great!
Thank you
Watching this as i start my personal branding journey 🎉
Wow this is profound...This means that we are to build our Personal brands on our stories...right?
Yes
He is completely correct about real estate. it must be the ongoing drive. it must be
compounding commitment.
Very motivation. Believe in your self
Minute 8, already astonished!! Man I need notes
Thanks for reminding me to pursue my passion..I draw
"Then you're not a product, you're a commodity" This hit me so hard!!!! 😭😭😭
First one to consume this value and to like. Wishing you guys a happy ending 2023.
Forgive my English I'm from Tanzania, Africa here we speak Swahili frequently. 🇹🇿
I love these classes 🤣
Nice to see another Tanzanian learning and benefiting from Chris Do !!
Happy holidays.
This is life changing , what a genuine and genius talent .
Thank you Chris
Thank you. My pleasure
Uncomfortability equals growth. Very powerful.
Extremely useful content, it was so well paced i didn't even realise it was more than an hour long ❤😅
Happy to hear that!
yo watching this was so inspiring bro, thank you for sharing so much wisdom and being yourself, this helped me with a lot of things internally and gave me many cool insights 🙏❤
you rlly have a deeper(cooler) voice and sounds/look/body posture calm confident af. gg respectful
I love his hat, and I LOVE his message. It matches mine. All of it resonates with me. I can't be bothered with chasing only attracting and inspiring others. I love the tribal concept and his appeal to our primal instincts coupled with the advantage of modern tech. Great video. The realest!!! ❤❤❤
again! So clear and true! Respect! Thank you!
thank you Mr Do, for teaching us.
You are very welcome
This guy is a genius! 🎉
32:38 Thanks for opening up about stuff man.. that was profoundly moving at times when you were opening up about becoming the true you and not trying to hide you any more..
it's something I've really struggled with for a long time as i used to get punished really hard when i was me or tried to stick up for me (in adult life too it happens over and over again where people are abusive to me but then when i stick up for myself i get told I'm the bad guy and they ignore all the pushing and abuse they did to me)
i keep hugely undervaluing my work too, my ceramics, my songs, ME.. I've been single 20 years or so now and just keep hiding the true me from the world.. I'm getting better at being the true me but i keep on getting hit hard for it by people who just don't get why a ceramic should be valued at the price i set it (they want real hand crafted art level ceramics for £20) but I'm still trying..
you opening up helps loads thanks
Best wishes to you and yours

Something which I think the conclusion of vid is the philosophy of why ? really matters to the products how ? the why explains the products brand image. And integrating the thought why is something designed the way it is into designing a, brand makes it better. Thank you for the great vid. Ive started out doing brand studies. Currently doing Mercedes.
This is an eye opener for me, thanks 👍
16:37 - love this
Incredibly valuable. Thank you!
I enjoyed this session. Thank you ❤
