Mine opens flat when opened. I went from a decade of iPhones to this. And the difference is staggering. Amazing. 😊😊
I hear that all the time. but I use my Pixel fold open 80% of the time. it's fine closed, no complaints, and I usually keep it closed for picture taking, but I love it open. Very happy with it. I love it. I hate Verizon and will be leaving them soon, but I love the pixel fold.

Great video. The Pixel Fold was my favorite phone of 2023, I haven't tested the OnePlus Open yet. But I agree with all your points on the Pixel Fold. There's definitely room for improvement but all in all it was a great first attempt at a foldable

They have ALOT to work on for the fold 2 thats for sure. I had waited years for this thing..huge google fan and folding phone fan but passed on it because it was so bad. Hope they really put some effort into the fold 2 this year.

Never watched your videos, but it was refreshing. Not jumping on the big youtubes bandwagon bashing. You reviewed the device for what it can do and didn't make it such a big concern for the small things. I must say though, for $1799 its probably easier to complain, but at the resale market for a good Pixel Fold for $700-$900, its very impressive. If they priced these at $1299-$1399 they would have a sold a LOT more. Now the phones retail is still $1799 and an afterthought for most sadly if paying full price without some kind of discount from a carrier.

The Pixel Fold is beast mode running Android 14 beta QR2 is the calling software and other features makes more than others. Also adding Armorshield screen protector over the original is awesome.

Being a Pixel fan for a long time, I bought this phone twice and returned it twice. I just couldn't justify the price. It was a nice, premium piece of technology. Add on all the Pixel extras, and it seemed like a really solid everyday phone. I sometimes wished I had kept it, just wish it had a more up to date processor. I wonder what they are doing with the design of the P Fold 2.

Excellent review! Honestly I am going to pick one up from eBay for $800 and I think it was a worthy investment especially when pixel fold 2 drops i'm sure they'll be some hefty incentives to trade in
i will never understand reviewers need for a faster charging speed, 30 watts is more than enough for a phone especially on a phone that last all day, a faster charging spped if just gonna deteriorate the battery faster. I charge my phone overnight and thats enough for a whole day but even if i forgot to charge my phone overnight, i just put my phone to charge for 30 minutes and that about enough for all day

I love my PF and have done since day 1. I too like the weightiness of it and the crease/bezels don't bother me one bit. Of course there are things I'd like improved but the majority are software based and hopefully Google will up their game and provide these.
Glad I bought the fold during Black Friday sales as the new fold form factor is just like everyone else by all accounts. I bought the fold especially for its form factor and pixel software.
How has it been? Recommend it? Or recommend waiting for Fold 2?
@@minhn2888 it’s probably worth waiting for the 2 now if only for a bigger price drop on the original. The biggest complement I can give the Fold is that due to the form factor and Google camera algorithms it’s the first fold or flip I’ve had I could use as my only phone. I love it.

This pixel fold was definitely a concept. Hence it is the only pixel phone to not be slash in price by nearly 40% after launch. Google has kept this phone as expensive as they could. The OnePlus fold is great, but their quality control is just bad and they are doing nothing about it. If Google could make a foldable like the OnePlus open with the T4 chip and drop the price then you have business. But with the good 5 always on sale now; it still makes sense to get the Samsung fold in the states for right now.
Fold 2 needs to be the size of the Find N1 or 2 .
Keep it passport-like.
I got mine at launch no trade in Att 900.00 that's it carriers deals still have my Z Fold 3 on the shelf too.

My inner screen broke 3 weeks after I bought it. To make matters worse it got lost in the mail on its way back to Google.
Few questions:
1. Do you not notice the crease after using it for a while like in display front camera?
2. For the remarkable, are you able to use it in a dark room and brightness won't attract attention? Planning to use while writing notes in movie theater

It's a solid phone, just too heavy.
I really don't like the outter display on the galaxy fold. Also I'm not a fan of Samsung UI. It's just too much going on here.
I don't get the current craze of foldable phones. I do understand flips but not folds.
I guess the hype or craze for foldables pretty much died down, but I do see foldables like the z fold catching up if only they could provide more diverse aspect ratios, as well as improved cameras.
So far Samsung pretty much improved a lot in terms of durability of folded screens, but they could do better.

Absolutely! Every aspect of the Pixel fold is better than the OnePlus open software updates. Long-term updates, cameras, video, AI size, build materials design and it's not Chinese. Cheap garbage OnePlus is dead to me since the OnePlus 7 pro. Just an upper phone with a different branding on it the crease also disappears when you open it fully. You can only see it from a very very tight angle

I had the phone for around 6 months. I enjoyed it. Yes I noticed the display didn’t open flat for around 10 minutes. After that I didn’t notice it and the phone was amazing regardless
