  • The Google Pixel Fold is almost one year old and for better or worse it's been an OK phone, with a lot of mistakes. BUY PIXEL FOLD HERE! amzn.to/44p9CKt (affiliate)
    Google screwed up a lot of things with the Pixel Fold, from using the Tensor G2 and older hardware and charging $1799. Most poeple liked the front screen experience, but that was about it. However, hopefully for the Pixel Fold 2 they learned some lessons and make a better phone.

    I’m absolutely loving my Pixel Fold. I’m primarily an iPhone guy but haven’t put my main sim in the 15 Pro Max for months. The form factor is perfect for me and
    I get fantastic battery life.
    As far as the tensor G2 goes it does exactly as I need it to be, no complaints.
    I’ve got about 15 cases but the best case is the Google official case.
    Unfortunately it’s not available in Australia so I had to import it for $2800, so hopefully the Fold 2 will be available here.

    I have it. I like it. It's the closest I'm getting to a Surface Duo 3. However, I'm still upgrading it for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, especially if it has stylus support and one that's small like the S Pen.

    I don't understand Google's smartphone team at all. You nailed it, it needs better parts. The same thing can be said about the Pixel Pro range. Maybe Google should just go back to the Nexus era and use an OEM that knows what the hell they're doing.

    Thanks for the video, I bought this when it first came out & yes it was OVERPRICED. But overall I enjoyed it for the outer screen when it was folded, the UI, and the camera. However, for me it was just too heavy/unwieldy especially when you compared it to the Honor Magic V2(my back-up device). I was hoping the Pixel Fold 2 would be lighter, decrease the bezels on the inside of the phone when unfolded and put the flagship cameras on this, but according to rumors it sounds like they are going to go with the taller, thinner profile which is too bad. I ended getting a Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and selling my Pixel Fold.
    Samsung definitely has to do something different with the Fold 6 and I am looking forward to the Pixel Fold 2 because Huawei, OPPO, Vivo, Xiaomi are killing it hardware wise. I definitely don't see myself ever going back to a normal candybar phone again. 📱📱❤️❤️❤️❤️

    I actually love how wide the main screen is, thats THE selling point compared to other flip phones for me. Right now its too expensive still so maybe after teh 2 comes out. They say the 2 will have a thinner outer screen, im not ok with that. just a stupid design idea from Samsung people don't want a sliver phone. so we shall see but im liking Googles designs most of the folding phones

      MKBHD reviews tech as is from a consumer perspective. If a device is bad and reviewers say it’s good.. do you really think they’d (the reviewers) would be relevant on RUclips anymore. Yes the Pixel Fold has gotten better since launch but you can’t base a review on “promised” future patches. Reviews are based in real time as is when the reviewer has the device in hand. Because that’s the experience you’re getting and going to experience out of the box.

    • @KHuyPh
      @KHuyPh Месяц назад +6

      @@JoshuaBrown-is8fbI see what you're saying. From what I remember, I believe MKBHD overall gave a positive review of the Pixel Fold despite its many weaknesses. But I don't think he's trying to make a bad product seem good because he's some "corrupt" RUclipsr who wants to please these companies. He's been pretty transparent (especially lately) with his stance that if a product is good or bad, then he'll call it how he sees it. While I don't agree with his overall positive assessment of the Fold, it's probably nothing more than a difference of opinion rather than some sort of ploy of his to stay relevant on RUclips.

Ehhh but on a good note phone works amazing for watching content and gaming, social media and multitasking. No overheating. Yes the battery life could be better but i get about 8-9 hours . Deff should of got the 8 pro but im waiting on the 9pro. Even tho that s24 silver one is everything that i want... Im holding off biting my buying finger . At $1800.00 it's a ripoff not only because of the G2 but 12GB ram and only 256GB storage, like come on Google. I think if they were to at least come out with something like a G2.5 that has 16GB ram and/or make the CPU more efficient that would've help

It gets a little warm sometimes but so does my z fold. So i dont understand the problems people are having. Im a pretty heavy user so its great for me. Im not getting the pixel fold 2. I got this because of the size and design. So maybe ill get the one plus 2 if they keep it wider and short like the first one.

    I was at a Verizon store today with a friend getting his phone fixed and checking out the Pixel Fold and the Z fold 5. They didn’t even have a working display for the pixel fold just a dummy unit and the z fold 5 is just to narrow to justify buying. Also the sales rep had a pixel fold so I asked him about it. He said he liked it yet it’s clearly sitting in front of him on a wireless charging stand lol 😂 version is pretty pathetic in my opinion. Half of the display units didn’t even function or work to begin with.

    I bought a fold and love the form factor and the phone runs nicely, but just the fact that Google put out a phone with a year old chip and then didn’t even care enough about it to give us any of the AI features is like a slap in the face. Most of the Ai features Google offers in the 8 and 8pro aren’t even done on device, so there really isn’t any reason why we couldn’t have at least gotten video boost and all that. The only way I’ll ever consider another fold from Google is if they offer an amazing deal to all of us fold 1 buyers to upgrade to the 2. Otherwise never again!!
