    is there a way to do this with just the shirt? Like if i were to import a 3D model into blender like a jacket what would be the process for just applying physics to that 3d model only

    This looks really good. Why don't games use this kind of cloth simulation (in most games the clothes seem to be attached to the character)? Is it too taxing on the hardware if it is for a game?

    • @Hackerb0b
      @Hackerb0b 3 месяца назад

      Well as you can see in the video the simulation was not able to run very well in real time, which is why it was rendered out (baked)

    • @Ruan3D
      @Ruan3D  3 месяца назад +1

      I think you can export the cloth animation as an Alembic (.abc) or a USD file. I haven’t tried yet but should be possible.

    If I do this on a cloth for a game character, then export it to the game, will it have those physics inside the game?

    • @Ruan3D
      @Ruan3D  3 месяца назад

      Yes if you bake the cloth animation it should work.

    why my cloth breaks when i play animation?

    • @Ruan3D
      @Ruan3D  3 месяца назад

      Make sure the cloth does not intersect your model at all, also play with the cloth settings, like the bending parameters etc. Good luck!
