watching you at the bandsaw is like watching a choreographed dance. well done sir.
And what many people don't know is that, while some of the other parts are sped up, the bandsaw clips are actually playing in slow motion.
@RFC3514 ...right!!
He's a master, yes? I love his story about being a kid in his father's shop when he and his brother busied themselves on THE BANDSAW!
Like a concert pianist who started fingering the scales at 5 years old...the years of practice and skill honing have created a master! As second nature to him as walking is to the rest of us. So cool to watch!
And with the street smarts only a city (NYC) can teach, a passion for creating with his hands, a heart of gold and an openness of sharing...Jimmy Diresta is as authentic as they come! I get a lot of inspiration from his antics...and work to emulate his style!
(The bandsaw is still scary, but ...I try)
I totally agree with Ryan here. Much faster than I could do it. The music was spot on. Great video!!
Thank you! gius
some people watch things happen - some people make things happen and other people wonder what happened. Jimmy Direast - the hardest working man on the tube.
Watching Jimmy on the bandsaw do something in minutes that would take me all weekend is both fun and frustrating.
I’ll always remember being introduced to Jimmy’s videos when Nick Offerman tweeted a video of him making a spoon on the bandsaw however many years ago. I was blown away. Have been a huge fan ever since. Love the classic Diresta bandsaw videos.
I first saw him on _Ask This Old House._
Thank you both 👊🏼
For me it was listening to Offerman's books Paddle Your Own Canoe, and Good Clean Fun he spoke so highly of Jimmy I had to see who this master craftsman was. True to form every one of Jimmy's builds have blown me away with his skill and attention to detail even on something as simple as parts bins.
Some of my favorites videos from you are you sculpting with the band saw. So I had a blast today! Thanks
Love this book! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!
hahaha I love the Derek Carving. A++ for the Beard and Total Boat hat
This is so great. Thanks for being involved Jimmy. Great use of materials. I think Derek would agree!!
Derek holding a mini 2x4 was a nice touch.
Aww. Fun-sized Derrick.
I think Jimmy would take any opportunity to make anything as fast as possible using the bandsaw 😃
Brilliant work, Jimmy! Really well done! 😃
The machine is fantastic!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I could watch your bandsaw wizardry anytime all day. So cool man thanks!
The tooler using the tools at hand. Great and interesting outcome. I'm a city sleeker but I love your channel. Greetings from San Francisco, California.
Brilliant Jimmy!! Thank you for putting a smile on my face on a workday!!
Love your creativity Jimmy!
Love your videos that show off your artistic and design talents. Very easy to watch some build videos without realizing the skill behind them. Great old-school Diresta style.
If there is anybody on this planet that can match this man's skill, speed and efficiency, please step forward! Ridiculous!
Big Panda Bear Hugs from a 68 yr old grandma in Texas, USA 🐼 ❤ 🎀 👍 🧚♂ 🐈
That was awesome & very creative Jimmy! Well done! 👍👍👏👏😉😉
Once again awesome bandsaw work mate.
Jimmy, you are The Bandsaw Whisperer! Nice work as always.
That was so awesome to watch! Your a genius with that bandsaw! Very impressive!
That was a fun one!... or three! Great job Jimmy!
To cool!!!! Always keeping makers inspired Jimmy!!!
Total boat hat was an amazing touch 😂
So educationally inspiring, the moving sign has so many applications & who can resist characterised figurines. My head is boiling over with ideas. Thank you for sharing!
Awesome. Can't wait to see what people do. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
It's a terrific idea. I'm looking forward to seeing the results of this competition.
Awesome job Jimmy, your previous life as a toy designer really shone through here.
Love the creativity!
This is awesome!!!
Great work! Thanks for posting, and thumbs up.
JUST A DIFFERENT LEVEL AND BLOODY GOOD JOB 👍.
you are one brilliant and talented guy Mr Diresta see you on the next one
I can't remember the last time I saw you make something this animated, great use of time and materials,Jimmy your the man and thanks for the inspiration🤗😎🤗😎
You are a pleasure to watch, amazing talents that you have.
I would so much love a band saw like that!
Jimmy - You are a nut! That was a lot of fun to watch
Wow! That is awesome
amazing skill jimmy master of creativity!
that brightened up my day!
Job well done. Thank you for sharing.
It's been awhile since I've seen you doing some bandsaw sculpting. Love it!
I still wish you guys would do another show like Dirty Money. Was amazing seeing what can be found at a flea market and then what can be done with that stuff to turn a profit. Very entertaining.
One Shot! Best colors ever. I don't paint signs anymore but I still use the paint.
That was super fun to watch 🫶
Que crack eres Jimmy, tienes mucha habilidad.
When u started making cuts with the bandsaw at around the 8 minute mark, it looks as though time signature of the music maps on to your movements as u make your cuts. Very cool!
Jimmy, awesome work. Don’t have a real shop but we may give this a go…
I dig that chonky font you came up with. Gives me School House Rock vibes ✌
So dang creative! 😉
Great job!
The first video I watched of yours was in 2013 or so with the bar cart. Almost a decade later… I’m still following and always in aw.
Top....Best man at the bandsaw👍👍👍
You got some serious bandsaw skills
É O CARA É UM ARTISTA , ISSO É FATO !!
Very nice work J.D.. Very creative.. take care my friend...
Esse cara ama oque faz🙏
Good job mister Jimmy Diresta well done
Great video Jimmy
You killed it😂😂
Great video UK 🇬🇧 👍
Very impressive.
Bellissimo lavoro Jimmy 💪👋👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks jimmy this one was fun liked the mechanics and the use of copper wire for the linkage.
Tig wires 😀👊🏼👊🏼
Ahh I was wondering if it was that to I’ve heard of using that to. I though you raided Patrick’s stash for a minute
Amazing what a guy can do with some tools and imagination
Diresta: Always pushing the envelope of what machines and tools can do!
Hola! 🖐What a fun and cool looking project. I may have to make a couple for my grandkids :D Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊
I haven't been so impressed by someone's skill that it annoys me in a very long time. This is actually my first time watching any video of yours and I'm so annoyed at how good you are 😂 I mean that in the absolute best way possible. I was sitting here just flabbergasted with how quickly you made everything. I found myself yelling at the screen on the second segment "you didn't even use the full 2 hours!!!" Insane skill and such fun projects, I am instantly subscribed.
My first Diresta video was the apothecary chest in the city basement shop. Been a huge fan ever since. Jimmy’s videos are like crack to me.
Great challenge. Ideas are forming🤔.
Awesome work Jimmy! 😃👍🏻👊🏻 .... Though I think now you have to make dolls of Graz, Jackman, Pat, and yourself to complete the set.... 😁
I vote for this also
This sounds like fun, but I am super slow when it comes to making, I look forward to seeing what other folks make.
That’s just nuts lol
that saw work, only DIRESTA!!
That big block (of steel?) of a rip fence idea on that band saw is heavy!
Работа на ленточке, конечно, впечатляет. Искусство, таксказать! Удачи участникам!
Джими молодец, здорово получился Дэрек :)
The Derek Doll is great😂
Cool 😎
That is a cool idea :-) it reminds me of the show that Tim Allen had done with Richard Karns called Assembly Required! Hehe :)
“We’ve got to move these refrigerators / we’ve got to move color TVs…”
My second favorite thing in the world is DiResta cutting things on the bandsaw.
Genial un artista
King of the band saw.
رائع جدا رائع جدا 💝💝💪👍
كل التحيه والتقدير لأستاذنا الفنان المبتكر
I could watch you use a bandsaw all day long. Great video.
Genius=Jimmy diresta.
Jimmy great video I know you speed up the video but still your flying threw that wood like nobody's business. I wish a blessed day 🙏.
You’re superhuman! I don’t think I could build that in month….def not in less than 90 mins
wow😁👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the ear worm 😩
Top video ..Ciao Jimmy
Wow good
Cool! As a contest judge, are your projects exempt? You always make it look so care free and easy. Thanks Jimmy.
Great job on all that Sir. Derek looks like Yukon Cornelious from the TV show "Roudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" back in the 1960s.
Sorry Jimmy… your Derek doll needs his iconic dark rim glasses!
