Wish you’d included the Everyone is Here trailer, with context it’s top 1 for me even without CG. After all the pre-reveal speculation focused on “who’s getting cut?”, the first gameplay reveal answer that question with “nobody!” was the most excited I’ve ever felt as a Smash fan.
Fun Fact: Sakurai also LOVES the Xenoblade series! He wanted to include Rex, but due to game release windows for eligibility, he was cut. That is why during release the Rex Mii outfit was available to early buyers. He also prefers Pyra :)
I had honestly been expecting that if Smash got another FF rep, that if it _wasn't_ Sephiroth, it'd either be Zack Fair, or it would be someone from FF XIV like Y'shtola, or someone from FF XV like Noctis or Aranea (Noctis being most likely since he's been a crossover character before in Tekken, so him also showing up in Smash wouldn't have been too bizarre).

Robin is the mage swordsman and the army's tactician of the story. While Chrom and to some extent Lucina are leading the army, it's Robin who plans strategies for the team to do while fighting alongside them, and Robin was so wrll liked by the Fire Emblem community, they were made into an official character for later games. Also, the losing spells and sword thing is only temporary. It's supposed to represent the more realistic weapon repair system, like how weapons wear out in real life, but in Smash, once it's used it, it only takes 5 to 7 seconds to get it back, so play them however you like. Robin is known for being very intelligent and being very receptive to each army member. Fire Emblem is a time and generation series, like Dr. Who ir JoJo's Bizarre Adventure with changing stories and protagonists. Most of them are connected to the same timeline. That's why Robin and Lucina recognized everyone else. They're the latest of the main timeline. Same with Corrin and Byleth. They are playing off how they both are self insert make them yourself characters.

Every Square Enix character involved in this series is a big deal. Because of how astronomically hard it was to get them.

I think the Fire Emblem trailers were mostly confusing because you didn't play any of these games.
Steve isn’t banned in most regions! One of the best players in the world (Acola) plays him to great success at most majors
