For anybody who may be new to Smash: the Final Smash attacks don't do too much on targets who are at 0 damage - the point is not to be knocked off the edge of the screen, and the more damage you've taken, the farther you generally fly when hit.
As someone who has puts almost 2000 hours into the game, I am so happy to see you guys react to this. Super Smash Bros is an awesome series, by far one of my favorite gaming series ever.
I only play as joker because I have him play as spider-man and peter parker when recreating battles from the sam ramni trilogy. Edit: I also never played any of the persona games.
@@airtiger4577 even if you just tolerate turn based RPGs, you should try persona 4 or 5, you won't regret it (shame that persona 5 is only available on PS4/5, Persona 4 is available on steam if you wish to play it there ^^)
@@Edos512 I have a ps3 that I've had for 9 years and I'm not planning to upgrade from it. I'm sure the persona games are fun, but I don't really feel like getting them.
The character at 6:45 is known as Bayonetta! It’s a very similar style of game to Devil May Cry and I would love to see you guy reacting to her game’s trailers or all of her Demon Finishers! She’s my all time favorite video game character and I’m sure you two would get a kick out of her
She's basically the "how the blazes did _she_ get in the game that Sakura said was 'for good girls and boys'??" Let's just say...her clothing is her hair. Meaning she usually doesn't wear any, and magically conforms her hair to her body.
Bayonetta is a great game, made by the same people that made Devil May Cry, which is turn was made by the same people that made Resident Evil. Originally Dante was Tony Redgrave who was going to be the main protagonist for Re4, the best Resident Evil behind Re8. Dante also appears as a outfit for the Miis in this game. Not every character is Nintendo, but along the years Sakurai, the main man for this series was asked many times to add 3rd party protagonists in this game. Sora was the highest requested character back in 2014 and has finally made his debut 7 years later. I main mostly mostly sword characters as I've always loved fantasy and magic, but Sora is my main for this game, he's so fun to play as. Also a lot of the Final Smashes are short because it doesn't interrupt the fights. A lot of characters are just "skins" to say but have different changes to the original fighter. Ken is a reskin of Ryu, except Ken doesn't hit like a truck compared to Ryu. Samus is more volatile while Dark Samus is more energy based. Also Ness and Lucas are from Mother (Japan)/Earthbound series, another game you should check out as it more than an 8-bit RPG adventure.
1:54 - That is Steve from the game Minecraft. He's one of two playable characters (the other being Alex). The Final Smash itself is a reference to being unexpectedly blown up by a bunch of Creepers when you least expect it...especially in a room full of TNT!
Peach & Daisy's Final smashes are honestly one of the best in the game though. They can make the opponent fall asleep in the air which is an intant KO off stage. Even on the ground, you can still hit the opponent with their combos, and you can heal around 35 - 45% of health back too
If someone has a reliable uploader with updated content for these compilations they could make a killing on RUclips it seems. 😅 we still search for reliable ones 🤗
As a preteen, playing Brawl helped open my eyes to a lot of new games and just the fighting game genre as a whole. Glad to see Ultimate's getting some love.
When playing SSB back on Nintendo64 maaany years ago, I often used him. -Almost spammed the tongue-attack to "eat" opponents and spit them out again off the edge. ;D
This was fun. I feel like you would get a kick out of watching al lthe reveal trailers (at least since brawl). You can probably find a full compilation somewhere. They're incredibly well made as they are, but the fun is in guessing who the trailer is going to be for.
R.O.B. stands for robotic operating buddy. He was an old toy accessory you’d plug into your old Nintendo and he could do special things with certain games. Video games almost fell off in the 80’s in America, and ROB is credited with helping bring it back into the mainstream!
13:24 R.O.B. stands for Robot Operating Buddy. He was an accessory for the nes, built to be a sort of self-using controller. It... didn't work out too well, especially since there were only two games that could use him. 15:12 Okay, to explain that part, Bowser Jr used that form in Super Mario Sunshine, thanks to a special brush made by a Professor E. Gad, which could spread a dangerous goop wherever he painted. The reason it looks like Mario, is because he was trying to frame him for a crime, and get him locked up.
Some context for each character in the roster, a lot of these are pretty obvious - but the third-party fighters are a nice addition to Super Smash Bros. I’ll try and keep them in order of franchise, the nameplates on the characters themselves should serve to better find then. That and on the original video the timestamps are already given. Also, minor spoilers for certain characters. You’ve been warned fellow commenters. Mario: The hero we all know and love, mascot of Nintendo first airing in Super Mario Bros. We love him, and we all know him. Yoshi: Mario’s trusty firebreathing dinosaur, he helps us over gaps and jumps super high. Dr Mario: The protagonist of the popular spinoff Dr. Mario. It’s basically Tetris m, but with science! Luigi: Mario’s trusted brother - he’s had his own adventures with Luigi’s mansion - fighting ghosts and saving his home. A bit shy and easily scared compared to his brother, but still a faithful ally. Donkey Kong: Mario’s arch-nemesis turned hero with his own game: Donkey Kong Country. DK is his own character now. Diddy Kong: DK’s trusty sidekick, armed with bananas, a jet pack, and a peanut gun. King K. Rool: The antagonist of Donkey Kong, K. Rool is a crocodile with a knack for getting in DK’s bad side. Princess Peach: One of the biggest mascots for women in gaming, except now she’s no samosa in distress.
Princess Daisy: Getting just as much recognition as Peach herself, Daisy first appeared in Super Mario Land as another princess for the brothers to rescue from Bowser's clutches. Bowser: The big bad turtle dinosaur himself, we’ve been kicking him into lava since the beginning in Super Mario Bros. Bowser Jr: Bowser’s child, he and all of his siblings are pliable characters this time around. Roselina and Luma: First appearing in Super Mario Galaxy, she resides in a massive comet star starship where she watches over the star-like creatures called Luma. Here they assist in combat, they fight as a pair. Piranha Plant: Those annoying plants that constantly bite at you during speed runs, this popular Mario enemy is now his own fighter.
Link: The wielder of the Triforce of Courage, Link has been reincarnated as a hero for generations in the Legend of Zelda universe. Here is his most recent iteration: Link from Breath do the Wild. He seeks to stop a calamity ready to wipe his home of Hyrule from existence. Young Link: A younger hero from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - this hero seeks to prevent Hyrule’s destruction at the hands of a mad tyrant. Shiek: A disguise worn by princess Zelda during Ocarina of Time. She assist an older Young Link in stopping the tyrant. Zelda: Zelda’s true form, this is what she typically looks like. Much like Link she wields a piece of the Triforce, the Triforce of Wisdom. She’s often an exceedingly adept mage of sorts. Ganondorf: Remember the tyrant I mentioned above? It’s Ganandorf. Much like Link and Zelda he is doomed to be reincarnated forever, always trying to rule Hyrule. He wields the last piece of the Triforce: the Triforce of Power. Samus Aran: The best bounty Hunter in the universe, Samus Aran was orphaned at a young age. With her Varja Suit she single handedly ended the Metroid infestation and has become renown for her skills. Zero Suit Samus: Samus without her Varja suit, she’s just as adept in combat without the heavy armor and arm cannon. Dark Samus: The result of an alien radioactive substance duplicating her DNA, Dark Samus sought to kill the original in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
Ridley: The terrifying leader of a clan of space pirates, Ridley murdered Samus’ parents and left her orphaned. Despite being killed off multiple times, he always manages to come back as a clone or cyborg. Kirby: The protector of Planet Popstar, the infant Star warrior Kirby is capable of copying any fighter's powers just by eating them. King Dedede: The self-proclaimed king of Popstar, King Dedede serves as both an antagonist and anti-hero for Kirby, either fighting him or helping out where he can. Meta Knight: A rival for Kirby, Meta Knight originally sought war with Popstar’s inhabitants for being too lazy. Eventually Kirby got him over to the good side. He now helps protect the planet when he can, preferring his quiet and books. Also he looks exactly like Kirby under his mask, except he’s a deep indigo with yellow eyes. Fox: The leader of the space battalion Star Fox, fox protects his Galaxy from threats as needed. Falco: A vital member of Fox’s crew, Falco is a hot-headed falcon with a love for showing off. Greninja: The Ninja Pokémon, It’s long tongue acts as a ninja scarf. It throws shuriken made of solidified water and can vanish in a puff of smoke. Incineroar: The Heel Pokémon, Incineroar fights using a variety of wrestling moves. He’s stylized after them after all, and he loves to put on a show for the crowd. Ness: First appearing in Earthbound (or Mother 1 in Japan) Ness enjoyed playoff baseball and has psychokinetic powers or PSI as it’s known in game. Lucas: The protagonist of Mother 3, he shares the same PSI powers as Ness. Captain Falcon: The star racer of the F-Zero franchise, he races in his signature Blue Falcon. His move set was actually completely original, and not based off of his own game. The Falcon Punch, Falcon Kick and Knee of Justice have become mainstays for his characters in Smash. Ice Climbers: Siblings Popo and Nana from the titular Ice Climber game. They climb mountains of ice, nuff-said. Marth: The protagonist of the turn-based JRPG Fire Emblem, he fights with his signature Falchion and rules his kingdom with grace and honor. Lucina: A main character of the 3DS title Fire Emblem: Awakening - she is a time traveler sent from the future to prevent a dangerous calamity. Mr Game and Watch: An old pick from Nintendo’s old hand-held titles, he appeared in multiple games. Kinda like those you would get from a fast-food place for your kids in the early 2000s. Pit: An angel and servant of the goddess Palutena, Pit is unfortunately flightless. His wings came out rather small, and he relies on assistance from his goddess to fly. Airing in the original Kid Icarus and appearing again in Kid Icarus: Uprising - he protects the mortals of the world from gods who would want them dead. Dark Pit: A clone of Pit made in Uprising, Dark Pit serves no God and fights for himself. A bit of a loner, but otherwise a worthy adversary.

@@mechanomics2649 I’m aware, FE:A was my first FE game as well as one of my first 3DS titles. Tiki, Nowi, and Nah are all Manaketes in that game. Morgan too if you marry right. I tried to go light on terminology as to not stir confusion. Robin for example is easy enough to understand without needing to refer to him as Grimial for example. Shulk alone has sixty different important terms to understand the log of XC, the same for Joker. Writing excess that has more to do the franchise more so than the character will just bloat the text.
@@mechanomics2649 The phrasing combined with the fact that dragon shifters was in quotations makes makes it look like a correction as opposed to simply adding terminology. Quotations are meant to bring attention to something, hence why we use them when quoting people - as we’re trying to bring attention to the fact that it’s their words being said. Clarification on the fact that you were not correcting me clears things up however. I read the quotation marks as both standard, as well as air quotes - hence why I responded with the fact that I was aware what a Manakete was. Emotion and intention are hard to convey over the internet - so I apologize if my initial reaction caught you off guardZ
14:34: And finally, Palutena. The goddess from Kid Icarus. This must be her KI: Uprising version, since she was just a background character in the first games. Voiced by Ali Hillis, who also did a good job as VA for Liara in Mass Effect. A short animation film, named Palutena's Dinner was made years back to promote Uprising. Can still be found on Tube. ^^
Remember Kid Icarus. That was a tough ass game. All the old school Nintendo games are super tough cuz you can’t really save your progress like you can now. 😅
Aye; games capable of saving was like finding gold in grass back then. We would love it when getting those golden cartridges like the Zelda games, while the silver ones' password-system was a nice alternative. :) And indeed were the games tough! :O Shadow Warrior, Castlevania and Ghost&Goblins are said to be among the hardest.
When two characters have a similar Final Smash, it's because those are "Echo Fighters." Basically they're not unique enough to get their own special moves, so they're copies of other characters with slightly altered movesets. So like, Daisy is an Echo Fighter of Peach, Dr. Mario is an Echo of Mario, etc.
14:34 That's Palutena, She's from Kid Icarus. She is the goddess of light who helps and aids Pit in his journey such as giving him the ability to fly since Pit cant fly on his own. Her first Smash appearance was in Super Smash Bros. 3DS and WiiU. Dark Pit is also from the Kid Icarus series but he's actually from Kid Icarus: Uprising, the latest entry in the game. In that game, he appeared after Pit destroys the Dark Mirror. Like Pit, he too needs the Power of Flight activated by the Goddess (Palutena) Just figured I'd share a bit of lore.
Thanks so much! Remember the game from my brothers old school Nintendo but don’t remember much outside of it was hard as hell 😂 So appreciate you going more into lore and character for us 🥳
I love this game franchise so much! It’s so perfect in every way! I remember playing it on GameCube as a kid, my brother, my father and I would play for hours and have a lot of fun!
Huh. So for whatever reason there’s some things the video leaves out. Most notably that Cloud actually has another final smash with a different one of his costumes. And also some of these would’ve really benifitted from the moves actually killing, especially for Ryu and Ken. Not saying to record just those though, this reactions still good.👍 If you wanted recommendations for other smash things to react to….. maybe all the trailers? That might be good. Maybe Taunts or victory animations if you really want, but those would be a bit long so idk. Anyway nice video guys! 😀
I'll defend them from not knowing immediately that Sephiroth is from FFVII, since I knew Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts first then learned he's from FFVII.
Something that'd be fun to see you react to would be the How It Feels To Play * series by LazyPurple. It's about how it feels to play each of the nine classes (well, eight at the moment but the HIFTP Medic one is on the way). If you're going to do them, I recommend doing it as a bit of a series and try to do them in the order of release as they have a form of continuity. I'd also recommend watching the outtakes videos as they're extremely high quality as well and generally act as a second episode of the Hiftp episode. It's one of the highest quality pieces of TF2 content ever released. - How it feels to play Spy - How it feels to play Scout - How it feels to play Heavy - How it feels to play Soldier - How it feels to play Engineer - How it feels to suffer in SFM - How it feels to play Sniper - Extras from 'How it feels to play Sniper' - How it feels to play Pyro - Extras from 'How it feels to play Pyro' - How it feels to play Demo - Extras from 'How it feels to play Demoman' Hopefully soon - How it feels to play Medic Some people will tell you he doesn't like people reacting to this stuff. This used to be the case when he was suffering from crippling anxiety as he couldn't bear watching people see his "flawed" work (even though it's nigh perfect). He's spent the last two years getting therapy for this and he no longer cares about people reacting to his stuff. Another great one to see you react to would be 'The Most Fashionable Faction in TF2' song and the rest of Stupendiums stuff in general. He has a ton of really great songs.
I love Joker's Final Smash since I love Persona 5. And I love Terry, Ryu, Ken and Kazuya since I love fighting games. Byleth, Sonic and Pyra/Mythra too.
Yeah it's because in that outfit he has a different sword that can split apart 5 times or so and in the movie, he splits them up and they all fall, to the viewer at this moment they look like they are floating like it shows in smash as everyone runs around, but they are actually frozen in time as he rushes to grab them all back to put them together, and while he's rushing to grab them, he's slicing through Sephiroth and combining his sword back together for the final blow.
Cloud and Sephiroth are both Final Fantasy 7. Simon and Richter (the coffin) are both Castlevania - Richter is a descendent of Simon, and they both use the whip named Vampire Killer, which gives away the plot of every castlevania game except for the two most recent 3D games (which you should play, but I won’t spoil the reveal).
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames There's also a Castlevania anime on Netflix that follows one of the other Belmonts, Trevor. If I remember right, he comes after Simon but sometime before Richter.
cloud has another variation of his final smash from the movie advent children which is one of his different colors, but him and sephiroth are originally from final fantasy 7 on the playstation like 20 years ago lol
R.O.B. stands for Robotic Operating Buddy. It was a device for the original NES and it was intended to be a robotic friend to play games with you. He only worked with certain games, but would play them with you.
So steve is from the ultra successful game minecraft form 2011-2012 (i think) which i think is currently the 2nd best selling game of all time behind tetris. It is a survival sanbox game where you mine for minerals and just live in a pixelated world. its very low intensity and great for those new to gaming to get a feel for controls, it is on every console including phones
Thanks for explaining the game more to us. People are surprised we don’t know such a popular and successful game but this is the first time someone has explained how the game actually works 😊
7:24: Mega Man. :) What does Pikachu say when he got a cold? Pikatchooo! 9:12: Your character in Ice Climber, a simple classic platform game that came out along with the NES in the start, before SMB took over as the bonus-game. 11:03: one of the many Game&Watch games. 12:01: Solid Snake from Metal gear. :D
I played Smash Bros with my friends at school and camp. I usually play Luigi, Ryu, and Ken. I also remember playing as Ryu doing moves and my other friend said something I’ll never forget this part that was hilarious thing he said “Can you stop spamming you little shit”? and I didn’t even know what spamming was back then.
Idk if you have plans to do so already or if you've already seen them, but I'm really interested in seeing your reactions to every single Smash Bros reveal trailer, even for the ones pre-Ultimate! They're a real treat to watch and with insanely high production value to boot. :)
I absolutely LOVE Smash and was very happy that you both awesome people reacted to this ! My favourite is Corrin and I was happy that you both liked her too ^^ Keep going your videos are GREAT☺️
the original video is very badly put together. The final smashes aren’t killing, and some of these final smashes work in ways that they didn’t showcase.
(2:47) Sephiroth is the main antagonist of Final Fantasy 7 and arch rival of Cloud Strife. I’ll try my best to explain who he is without spoiling the plot of FF7 but here we go, Cloud Strife (the main protagonist of FF7) used to work for an company that essentially owns the world of FF7 called “Shinra”. Some mishaps happen that I won’t get into the details of cause spoilers and Cloud leaves Shinra. Cloud now jobless decides to join an eco terrorist group that are against Shinra Company’s tyranny called Avalanche. Well essentially Sephiroth was a high ranking “commander” at Shinra who was amazing at his job. Some other mishaps happen that I won’t go into to cause spoilers and Sephiroth realizes his true identity that Shinra has been hiding from him for all those years. He essentially goes insane from this new revelation and starts killing everybody. Sephiroth’s final smash is also hard to explain cause spoilers but it’s a form he takes in the final boss fight of FF7. But ye Final Fantasy characters were crossed over into Kingdom Hearts which is how you know Sephiroth. Hopefully this comment was an good explaining of who Sephiroth is, I tried to keep the spoilers to a minimum I highly u suggest u play FF7 for urself and all the other FF games in all honesty
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It really sucks how popularity has ruined the build up of anyone playing ff7 for the first time because you're not supposed to think Sephiroth is even alive and you aren't supposed to know what he looks until about a whole 3 hours in. Well maybe if you read the playing manual. Ff7 is just one of those games that is just a plethora of different emotions, it's downright hilarious, the absolute funniest game ever made, just absolutely rich comedy, and then at the same time it, it has tense build up mystery moments, then it will absolutely tear your heart to ribbons. It's the one of a kind game that makes fun of something and then says psyche it wasn't a joke and turns the joke into something meaningful to the story, It's the best written game ever made. And for the love of God do not play the remake 1st.
3:44: That's from Persona, me thinks; probably P5. 4:52: is from Star Fox, which came out on Ninentdo64. 5:18: Aah, good old F-Zero, a racing game on SNES. :)
"first video on our channel that has Mario in it" Wait until you see how Nintendo regards RUclipsrs using their IP, then you'll see why that may not be the worst thing 1:57 *Also literally most popular game in the world by almost every metric* "Where is that from?" Refreshing to see someone who doesn't know what Minecraft looks like, I got a chuckle out of that
Y'all really should check out Bayo. It's the sister series to Devil May Cry as DMC is Resident Evil. The director of the first Bayo worked on all three series among many other big hits.
aw they missed 1! Cloud has 2 Ultimates depending on what skin you pick his original in game or his move costume from Advent Children. The one you saw was Omni Slash, the other is called Omni Slash V5 which is much cooler and has much more going on. The 2nd ult uses the sword he has is called the Fusion Sword (unlike his first ult which is just the buster sword) in the movie version in which it splits into 7 smaller swords. when he hits you up into the air the Sword splits into 7 different swords and circles the enemy which then he flys from 1 sword to the other slashing the enemy all the while with all 7. It's MUCH cooler and much more appealing to look at.
|| CWA (Centeral Wrestling Action) || // Ken Masters (Street Fighter) \\ Nicknames: "The American Fighter", "The Heat King", "The Wild Elk" Signature Moves: Arm Drag Takedown & Fiery Pump Finishers: The Flame Kick, Dragon Sleeper Lock & The Flame Kick Attires (Costumes): Original Attire, Alternate Attire, SF5 Attire
It's rather rare that people react to Smash Bros without the competitive context. I like it, it's refreshing. Will you react to every Smash Bros characters reveal trailers (including the old ones) ?
We will see the ones for Smash Bros Ultimate and maybe the older ones at a later date. But probably won’t see them together as that is a looooong vid 🤗
1:54: Some of the skins you can have on your character in Minecraft. :) I feel like SSB normally "should" use Nintendo-made heroes only, but still cool they add some extras; while M.craft was made by the indie-company Mojang, which later got bought up by Microsoft, Nintendo does have the game on Switch, so the game's kinda theirs too.
5:36: You both knew this guy. ^_^ Btw, what did Zelda say to Link when he struggled to open a door? "Try force". For non-Zelda fans, the point is just that it rhymes with Tri-Force, the magical source in the games.
14:21 those are definitely some true facts about Little Mac also probably because he's the only character in the game that does not kick his opponent just jabs, hooks, uppercuts, and other punches
I spent 2009-2011 playing Super Smash bros Brawl for the Wii non-stop. Some of my best gaming memories came from that game but unfortunately the disc for it doesn't work anymore. I'm thinking about eventually purchasing Ultimate but we'll see, my games list is expansive after all and idk if I'd play it on a consistent basis like I did back in the day
Definitely it's a game you would only play if you have friends coming by often or you go to your local tourneys, outside of that the singleplayer content isn't really there and the online is awful.
We hear ya, KL. There are soooo many games on our bucket list to play now and only so much time and money. Which is why these reactions are fun because we can cover so many different games 😅🥳

By the way, Sans and Cuphead are just costumes for a character called mii gunner. But everyone forget who mii gunner was after the sans costume was announced.
Ha, this is funny! I'm used to seeing folks that are familiar with Smash react to its content. Checking out complete newcomers the series is an interesting change of pace. Very good. I'll check out more of you two reacting to Super Smash Bros. stuff.
Yes! I have a suggestion tho. If you guys run out of things to watch or want to start another reaction series off, you guys should totally look at Bayonetta!
Steve is from a little known indie game called "Minecraft". It's perhaps the highest selling game of all time besides Tetris with over 200 million copies sold, so you've probably never heard of it.
I dont know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but if you saw characters first that did their final smash then someone else later on who had the exact same (or close enough) that character is called an "Echo fighters". These are characters who are similar to the original fighter such as Peach with Daisy, Fox with Falco and Wolf, and Mario with Dr Mario. Some Echo Fighters are almost identical in terms of their attacks with only a slight variation in power while others can have a few noticeable differences. Most of the time, echoes are from the same series as the original character however in the earlier days Caption Falcon and Ganondorf shared the same moves only Ganondorf was much stronger but slower compared to Falcon's overwhelming speed and combo ability. Now I think Ganondorf is his own character and not technically an echo. Anyway, just in case there was any confusion I wanted to mention it. Love y'alls channel and can't believe I missed this one. Smash is one of my favorite game series and has led me to meet so many amazing people in my region.
Glad you caught the video even though you missed it the first time and thanks for the heads up on Echo Fighters 😀 Also, we release a schedule on our community section in RUclips for the week ahead on Sundays. So that way you won’t miss out in case RUclips doesn’t correctly notify you 🙂
Since you reacted to Smash I'd love to you see react to the Burst Attack animations in Pokken Tournament DX. They're very flashy. Pokken is a cross over between Pokemon and Tekken, the first official Pokemon fighting game. Despite it's Tekken incorporations it plays remotely nothing like it but every playable Pokemon has a handful of moves that are heavily inspired from moves used in the Tekken games. Instead it manages to incorporate both 3D and 2D sequences in matches and it's overall a very good time and it's roster is very diverse Make sure you watch the DX version on the Switch as it contains more characters, aswell as DLC, than the original Wii U version.
Seph's is my favourite final Smash, but I'm biased as a huge Final Fantasy VII fan 😅 All of them are pretty sweet! Bayonetta and Ridley are the stand-outs for me.
2:05 how do you not know?! Steve, Alex, the zombie & enderman are ALL from Minecraft. Steve is usually the default skin for P1, and Alex is the default skin for P2. The zombie and enderman are some of the enemies that Steve & Alex fight in the game.
Nice timing on this reaction! Warner Brothers just announced their own version of Smash Brothers, "WB Multi-Versus", and a month or two ago Nickelodeon released their own version called "Nickelodeon All Stars". I honestly don't think either game will do well. At least not in the short run. Both games need so many years of work to be able to compete with Smash Brother's legacy and all the experience they have over there with that type of game. Nickelodeon and Warner Brothers' only advantage is that they own their own assortment of well known and popular characters that Smash Brothers can never touch. The Warner Brother's version has Batman, Harley Quinn, Arya Stark and Shaggy for example. While Nickelodeon has characters from "The Last Avatar" and "Ahh! Real Monsters!". The advantage that Smash has, character wise, is that their characters are more recognizable to and loved by gamers since their characters originated in video games.
We kinda did ruclips.net/video/Qzn_nj4FC5c/видео.html 🙂 then there are more vids for the dlc characters as well which we have a playlist for here ruclips.net/p/PLzMaVaJ7UYI1EIyzi44tiTV3NKPT_LChx
For anybody who may be new to Smash: the Final Smash attacks don't do too much on targets who are at 0 damage - the point is not to be knocked off the edge of the screen, and the more damage you've taken, the farther you generally fly when hit.

The character at 6:45 is known as Bayonetta! It’s a very similar style of game to Devil May Cry and I would love to see you guy reacting to her game’s trailers or all of her Demon Finishers! She’s my all time favorite video game character and I’m sure you two would get a kick out of her
After seeing this we are definitely curious to see more of Bayonetta 😀🤩
She's basically the "how the blazes did _she_ get in the game that Sakura said was 'for good girls and boys'??" Let's just say...her clothing is her hair. Meaning she usually doesn't wear any, and magically conforms her hair to her body.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Heck, when she's doing her Final Smash, the reason the camera cuts away from her is because she's naked.
@@SentaiYamaneko I would say only some of her demon finishers (albeit explicit anyway) explicitly show her "naked" (her hair covers up her parts)
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Bayonetta 2 is available on Switch.

Glad Sora is good in this game! We loved playing Kingdom Hearts🥳🥳 Can’t believe it took 7 years 😳

1:54 - That is Steve from the game Minecraft. He's one of two playable characters (the other being Alex). The Final Smash itself is a reference to being unexpectedly blown up by a bunch of Creepers when you least expect it...especially in a room full of TNT!
😯
Peach & Daisy's Final smashes are honestly one of the best in the game though. They can make the opponent fall asleep in the air which is an intant KO off stage. Even on the ground, you can still hit the opponent with their combos, and you can heal around 35 - 45% of health back too
😯🤩🤩
You can actually dodge it, I try to gain I frames on ledge grab but yeah they are the most toxic final smashes in the game. Zelda's is cheap too.
This playlist was not only out of order (just a gripe on my end), but it skipped Cloud’s second Final Smash.

R.O.B. stands for robotic operating buddy.

Thanks so much for explaining that Bowser part to us. We were super confused 😂

These "dragon shifters" like Corrin are referred to as Manaketes, who are core to the Fire Emblem series.
@@mechanomics2649
I’m aware, FE:A was my first FE game as well as one of my first 3DS titles.
@@goldenaries0860 Nothing about my comment was a correction of your's so I'm not sure what your point is.
@@mechanomics2649
The phrasing combined with the fact that dragon shifters was in quotations makes makes it look like a correction as opposed to simply adding terminology.

Thanks for exposing that more to us. 🙂
Dr. Mario isn’t a echo fighter because his down B is Mario’s old attack.
R.O.B. stands for Robotic Operating Buddy. R.O.B. was a peripheral made by Nintendo to market the NES as a toy due to the Game Crash of 1983.
Thanks! 🙂
Like Pit, he too needs the Power of Flight activated by the Goddess (Palutena)

Some people will tell you he doesn't like people reacting to this stuff.
We got there on our TF2 list to react to eventually 😅
I love Joker's Final Smash since I love Persona 5. And I love Terry, Ryu, Ken and Kazuya since I love fighting games. Byleth, Sonic and Pyra/Mythra too.
A game we need to cover eventually 😊
Fun fact: Cloud has 2 final smashes. What we saw was one of his final smashes. Is other final smash is in his other character skin preset
😎👍🙂
Yeah it's because in that outfit he has a different sword that can split apart 5 times or so and in the movie, he splits them up and they all fall, to the viewer at this moment they look like they are floating like it shows in smash as everyone runs around, but they are actually frozen in time as he rushes to grab them all back to put them together, and while he's rushing to grab them, he's slicing through Sephiroth and combining his sword back together for the final blow.
I don't know if anyone commented on this already, but the 'dancing cat' on top of the iceberg is actually a polar bear. XD
Dang. How did we miss that 😂😂🤗
Cloud and Sephiroth are both Final Fantasy 7. Simon and Richter (the coffin) are both Castlevania - Richter is a descendent of Simon, and they both use the whip named Vampire Killer, which gives away the plot of every castlevania game except for the two most recent 3D games (which you should play, but I won’t spoil the reveal).
Thanks! 😀
Yeah not sure why we never got into Final Fantasy but I guess it’s never too late 😅
R.O.B. stands for Robotic Operating Buddy. It was a device for the original NES and it was intended to be a robotic friend to play games with you. He only worked with certain games, but would play them with you.
Thanks! 🙂
14:25 This final smash have similar look like Striker's Ragnarok(super) from Marvel vs Capcom(or Spiderman Maximum spider). They are both ninja
Nice comparison 🤩
My favorite final smash has to be bayonettas it's just so cool!😊 the name of the Dragon she Summons is called Gomorrah btw😀
Same
Her smash was pretty epic 🤩 now we want to know more about her and the game from this 😊
4:33 & 9:38 are both of my favourite final smashes.
Second reason, they’re my mains.😁😁😁
Good reasons 😉🙂
I had this game on nintendo Wii back in High school ☺️ thanks for bringing my childhood back to life
Our pleasure ☺️🥳
7:24: Mega Man. :) What does Pikachu say when he got a cold? Pikatchooo! 9:12: Your character in Ice Climber, a simple classic platform game that came out along with the NES in the start, before SMB took over as the bonus-game. 11:03: one of the many Game&Watch games. 12:01: Solid Snake from Metal gear. :D
We are going to get into some Metal Gear next week ☺️
Cool beans. :) The story is quite cool too, specially from the older ones in Metal Gear Solid and Sons of Liberty.
😂 hey if you want to stop spamming then learn the counters 😝😁
5:42: Samus Aran from the Metroid games. Arguably among the best hero-ines in games. :D Galactic bounty hunter with some femme fatale action.
I don’t know why, but I always forget Metroid is female 🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames i love and hate that i dont know if your just calling Samus Metriod as a joke....
this wasnt an attack on you btw...
Idk if you have plans to do so already or if you've already seen them, but I'm really interested in seeing your reactions to every single Smash Bros reveal trailer, even for the ones pre-Ultimate! They're a real treat to watch and with insanely high production value to boot. :)
We plan to check them out in the future 😀🥳
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Nice, I’m looking forward to it! 👍
Yoshi final smash is based off the stampede from lion king
@@mbrown5677 actually it's a reference to the yoshi stampede in smash Bros melee
Amazing reaction for Final Smashes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with all characters and DLC Fighters.
Glad you enjoyed it 🥳🥳
You guys should react to all of the smash bros character reveals they're pretty neat.
We plan to 😀
I absolutely LOVE Smash and was very happy that you both awesome people reacted to this ! My favourite is Corrin and I was happy that you both liked her too ^^ Keep going your videos are GREAT☺️
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed this 😀🥳
the original video is very badly put together. The final smashes aren’t killing, and some of these final smashes work in ways that they didn’t showcase.
they didn’t even show Cloud’s other final smash
Bummer but good to know for future vids to move on to another uploader 😊
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames the uploader is fine, but specifically for smash, there are better channels
Thanks for the explanation on Sephiroth more 😀 Final Fantasy is a game we need to cover more and get into 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It really sucks how popularity has ruined the build up of anyone playing ff7 for the first time because you're not supposed to think Sephiroth is even alive and you aren't supposed to know what he looks until about a whole 3 hours in.
Remember Star Fox. More so my friend playing the game as I was never good at it 🤗
"first video on our channel that has Mario in it"
Wait until you see how Nintendo regards RUclipsrs using their IP, then you'll see why that may not be the worst thing
1:57 *Also literally most popular game in the world by almost every metric* "Where is that from?"
Refreshing to see someone who doesn't know what Minecraft looks like, I got a chuckle out of that
Haha yeah, we had quite a few people dumbfounded that we didn’t know Minecraft at all 🤗🙃
6:50 That was an Umbren Witch in action there. Bayonetta is her name!
😯😀
Y'all really should check out Bayo. It's the sister series to Devil May Cry as DMC is Resident Evil. The director of the first Bayo worked on all three series among many other big hits.
We look forward to eventually seeing some stuff from it 😀
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames i would recommend seeing the demon summonings, i find them really satisfying!!
aw they missed 1!
Dang. Bummer they didn’t include the better one in this vid 😢
5:35 5:39 links ult is cool because you can sniper someone from across the map

Mewtwo literally blew their mind
Yup 🤯
It's rather rare that people react to Smash Bros without the competitive context. I like it, it's refreshing. Will you react to every Smash Bros characters reveal trailers (including the old ones) ?
We will see the ones for Smash Bros Ultimate and maybe the older ones at a later date. But probably won’t see them together as that is a looooong vid 🤗
Even 1 year later, their reactions to Corrin being a dragon is hilarious.
Honestly i love videos like this in particular, reacting to stuff i know well lol.

Thanks! 🙂
I like how Yoshi final smash is a reference to the stampede in Lion King 1 😂
1:54: Some of the skins you can have on your character in Minecraft. :) I feel like SSB normally "should" use Nintendo-made heroes only, but still cool they add some extras; while M.craft was made by the indie-company Mojang, which later got bought up by Microsoft, Nintendo does have the game on Switch, so the game's kinda theirs too.
😎👍
5:36: You both knew this guy. ^_^ Btw, what did Zelda say to Link when he struggled to open a door? "Try force". For non-Zelda fans, the point is just that it rhymes with Tri-Force, the magical source in the games.
😂👏
14:21 those are definitely some true facts about Little Mac also probably because he's the only character in the game that does not kick his opponent just jabs, hooks, uppercuts, and other punches
😎🤟
Which is why these reactions are fun because we can cover so many different games 😅🥳

luigi's final smash is from luigi mansion
9:22 it wasn't a cat it was a slipping bear
10:06 no, fox is normal, falco rapodo, wolf is heavy, his attacks are similar, but they are not the same
bowser jr debuted in mario suchibe but his identity was hidden, as shadow mario
By the way, Sans and Cuphead are just costumes for a character called mii gunner. But everyone forget who mii gunner was after the sans costume was announced.
I absolutely love the videos. Maybe you could look at some of the jump force ultimate attacks?
Have it on Our request list to check out at some point 😊

I'm used to seeing folks that are familiar with Smash react to its content. Checking out complete newcomers the series is an interesting change of pace.

Bayonetta Final smash reaction
"what the hell !?"
Haha, literally as she summons a Demon with her hair
😂 a crazy character we will have to learn more about 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames The demon that Bayonetta summoned name is Gomorrah
Yes! I have a suggestion tho. If you guys run out of things to watch or want to start another reaction series off, you guys should totally look at Bayonetta!
We plan to check out some Bayonetta on the channel. The character piqued our interest for sure when she showed up in the video 🤩
2:05 You’ve never heard of Minecraft?! One of the best selling games in the world?!
We've heard of it, just never seen anything from it. 🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames oh. Makes sense then I guess.
Steve is from a little known indie game called "Minecraft". It's perhaps the highest selling game of all time besides Tetris with over 200 million copies sold, so you've probably never heard of it.
😂 we had heard of it but never seen anything from it 🤗 And we were the last ones I guess 🙃
Y’all should watch the Smash E3 2019 showcase before watching all the characters reveal trailers
Thanks for suggestion! 😀
You mean 2018?
So that way you won’t miss out in case RUclips doesn’t correctly notify you 🙂
Can't believe they didn't show Clouds alternate final smash.
Bummer it wasn’t included in comp we watched 😢
Since you reacted to Smash I'd love to you see react to the Burst Attack animations in Pokken Tournament DX. They're very flashy. Pokken is a cross over between Pokemon and Tekken, the first official Pokemon fighting game. Despite it's Tekken incorporations it plays remotely nothing like it but every playable Pokemon has a handful of moves that are heavily inspired from moves used in the Tekken games. Instead it manages to incorporate both 3D and 2D sequences in matches and it's overall a very good time and it's roster is very diverse
Make sure you watch the DX version on the Switch as it contains more characters, aswell as DLC, than the original Wii U version.
Didn’t realize Pokémon and Tekken had a crossover 😯😀
You guys have the funniest reactions 🤣
Thanks. 🙂🤗🙃
Like Overwatch, Smash releases a video of every character they add to the game, it might interest you to react to some of those clips aswell
Yup. We plan to check those out but it’ll take multiple videos with over 80 characters 😯🤯🤩
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Yeah, I imagine so, I look forward to that series!
Seph's is my favourite final Smash, but I'm biased as a huge Final Fantasy VII fan 😅
All of them are pretty sweet! Bayonetta and Ridley are the stand-outs for me.
Sephiroth was amazing and we have never played Final Fantasy 🤩🤩
2:05 how do you not know?! Steve, Alex, the zombie & enderman are ALL from Minecraft.
Steve is usually the default skin for P1, and Alex is the default skin for P2. The zombie and enderman are some of the enemies that Steve & Alex fight in the game.
Everyone is here! :D
Yay! 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Seeing Game of Thrones characters go up against Bugs Bunny and Batman would be pretty epic 🤩
Who ever made this video really put Cuphead and Sans as there own character instead of Mii Gunner.
🤔🤷♀️🤷
