people being worried about being carried by lower ranks or worried about deranking is one main problem that every gold plat or diamond ranked players make to me
@Ross Marco Agreed but some situations it is a good idea though because if you have a specter for example depending where you are , how many enemies are near in that case you may have to not reload but if no one is near ( to your knowledge) then reload
one of the biggest mistakes that i see in low ranks is that people dont understand what their roles are , or how to play the agents they play correctly
@@devic4463 he’s kinda right, obviously not at all, because is not only aim the difference, but also the mechanics are so better, but the game sense does not improve that much, I have asked different pros and most of them think that people start developing their game sense at diamond or +
9:26 - this shit still happens in gold so much. People stomping up right after round starts and on the other side is walking too much. Like walking around the entire rotate when bomb is down and low on time.
I have never played a game like this, started on day one release and came from Iron up to gold. My biggest problem is the leavers, there seems to be a lot of people leave if the first few rounds are lost or just disconnections in general. Your videos have been really helpful getting me to gold and I will be promoted again by the end of the week so thank you!
like you said nobody likes making the first push being the entry fragger so me as brim I smoke and tell them to follow but thing is they just follow plant and don't use their utility to hold site. The randoms play as if they are actual bots and also don't know what angles to hold post plant. Solo queuing or even duo to trio is stressful. Playing in an Asian region means more people speak a different language, so many people don't have mics and when they do they don't callout or even try to make a plan of some sorts.
Started at Silver 2, and have been bouncing as high as gold 1 to silver 1. I used to be DMG in cs a few years ago. Thats a whole different thing - I had an extremely dedicated 5 queue, a couple of them have gone on to win open ESEA tourneys and such. My biggest problem, by FAR, is my nerves. I literally cannot stay calm when playing comp, no matter the rank, I either can hold my own fine against plats (sometimes, im not the best player either way) or I get shit on by bronze players. My next biggest is game sense, more specifically, learning the agents and getting too cocky and/or being too timid. I think as of now, being silver 3 is pretty fitting spot for now, especially since I'm playing a new set of friends who are all coming from LoL; they have surprisingly good game sense, but rather poor aim due to lack of experience in shooters, but we get along extremely well and are all dedicated to getting better as a group, which is what matters most. I'd say I'm at most high average mechanically due to the years of experience i have with cs, but I think when you factor in my lack of confidence and game sense, I'm definitely an average player right now. I hope in the future we as a group can hit plat TOGETHER so we aren't barred from playing with each other. Huge tip half buy 2nd round, like smg and light shield. That way you can buy the third round in case you lose the enemy's save round. Or avoid this all together by keeping your distance and playing it slow. Since the enemy would buy shorties and camp around corners.
I could probably, with enough games, make it to high silver-low gold if I would a.) stop consistently playing with my two iron friends that never really touched CS and don't understand the gunplay in Valorant yet, b.) stopped overpeeking and dry peeking c.) made more use of my utility. I'm starting to do better with C ever since I stopped using Phoenix and started using Omen more, I think my playstyle works better with Omen's abilities and I find more consistent uses for them.
I finally got through to my iron 3 friend about saving and not force buying constantly. I actually love eco rounds, I'm kinda cracked with the ghost, for my rank.
I play in Iron and all the mistakes I see are what you state in your vid. But also they don't shift, they really run a lot. Ofc, it is just Iron but they just think this is CoD. Love your videos, Kyle!
Grouping but not pushing, as you said people wont take lead on either entry fragging or strategically, thank god I like to be both, with aggressive Omen and thanks to that I just got to diamond. I’m looking forwards!
Biiiig Problem you didn’t mention in all ranks is the team looking at econ as the teams Econ, but their own individual econ... not just buying when you can afford an extra vandal but be willing to sacrifice your eco to give your oper full shields and stuff like that, no one wants to spend their money if it leaves them broke and that’s not always how it should be approached
Gold is filled to the brim with players that pick duelists and entry fraggers, but do not entry frag. I always end up having to push first as Brimstone. I atribute half of this on the ranking system that uses your score as a measure.
The "grouping up but not pushing" problem is so annoying. I have to entry frag as cypher every game and most of the time no one pushes with me, so i just die and they walk around until 10 seconds left
I’m in bronze right, I can not handle anymore I start the push ( so that we don’t sit back and do nothing the entire game ) problem with this is that I am usually an auto fill for lower ranks atm , so I was autofilled sage My team decides to do nothing making me A SAGE entry Like dude then after that they don’t even follow up it really pisses me off
Regarding the aspect of being too loud by stepping, what happens a lot in my rank (gold) is that in retake scenarios people keep sneaking all the way across the map to the site and then when they reach it they start running so it was all for nothing. Im just always like "Why would you not rather do it the other way around lul"
Well as a plat player ,u watch some guys walk sooo much broh and its super predictable,u see many scenario that the enemy know and some guys is still walking, also there's the guy that never rush,so a tip for the guys that have a bad game and never rushing, become the bait and ask for trade,if I have a terrible game and one teammate has a really good bait for him
The most frustrating is that out of the 12 points you made, only 2 apply and not even badly. It's just that people's reflexes are simply faster and you get insta one-shot to the head much like in CS.
Im around mid gold to high plat skill but my rank is gold3-plat1 and my problem is mental. I rely on teammates a lot, not because i lack skill but because its a team based game and im playing it like i should but they arent on the same wavelength. I expect them to hold angles that im not and to make callouts that i would make but they never do. Not only that but when im playing well and we are still losing 0-5 i tilt and lose my mental and then i start performing worse.
Very true, it's good to know when ADS can actually hurt you, close range for example I would suggest to never ADS as you want to have the widest view possible, and enable those quick reflex shots
"Grouping but not pushing" is soooooo annoying when you play Sage! I've had so many teams where our Reyna and Phoenix are waiting at the back instead of leading, it gets frustrating to the point where I would just front-frag with Sage which is fucking terrible because if you die peaking you didn't even get to heal anyone.
That grouping but not pushing happens to much In low elo, I get 3 fraggers and 2 flashes and no one wants to go in it’s so annyoing, especially when I’m sage and then I force the engage and die
Im trying to sneak up on a an enemy, and my teammate jett literally runs full speed with her ult out and dies instantly, now I have to slowly walk back as the enemy is already aware of people coming this way. Some people are just incredibly stupid.
Ngl something I would do accept ace the game with my ult picking them off one by one as each with there last breath calls for there mother then as last trys to plant the bomb I put my knifed away and grab my axe and weild it above his head and crush it straight through his skull it won't kill him but he'll be brain dead and will be a reminder to bronzes not to fuck with me
ALL RANKS: People trying to big dick and 1v2 peeking to get kills when the enemy has not enough time to plant when all they needed to do was live. And just not playing time correctly in general.
So many common mistake to avoid. This game is so frustrating and I feel I can't do anything. I can't peek, move, or shot. I die for ultimate, operator, random headshot, tagging, and getting shot from angle I wasn't even looking. Also, 13 win round is too long which cause me angry issue as the game go on. I'm tilted. Never play solo queue.
Hey! Look at it all as a learning experience. you'll never improve unless you keep failing. Trust me! I STILL PEEK OPs. Even though every video I say not to I fall to my bad habits. Don't give up bro
This is great but im in iron one and i Dont make any of those super low Rank mistakes often. Also even though im a shitty iron i still get triggered about my teammates moving and shooting or aiming at the ground.
what if my team is walking after i gave them the info that everyone left from the enemy team is on the other site, confirmed. and they continue walking giving them time to rotate? i think what you said there is not always true. (im talking specifically on the offensive)
I feel like even when I’m thinking fully about my crosshair placement in game and, I always practice for 10-30 minutes in the practice range yet I feel like my aim is not improving at all. I feel stuck in my rank, and as hard as I try to grind and improve my mechanics, nothing is working. I play a lot more than my friends, and I’m only Gold 2. I have no idea what to do. People say with time, things will get better, yet my aim each game seems to deteriorate.
At your rank you just have to keep playing. I know you’ve heard this advice many times but if you think about it, all the other players who are higher ranked than you most likely have more experience and have played the game significantly more than you, or have a background of playing similar FPS games. Playing with players who are better than you could also be a good way to improve as they can give you advice in terms of positioning and when to push, and you could learn how to play like them just by watching them play. Also, don’t forget to practice your fundamentals like sprays and flicks which can be done easily on shooting ranges. It seems like you are already doing so, but making it a habit to practice aiming would help you significantly when improving so even if it seems like you’re not improving right now, you will see improvements soon. Cross hair placement comes down to overall map knowledge and basic awareness on where the enemies are so playing the game and learning enemy positions will help identify where you should be pre aiming when going in sites as well. You’re showing good signs of improvement currently just by practicing your aim and playing so keep up what you’re doing and I hope you improve!
Ty so much for the replies, I invested in Kovaak’s Aim Trainer to help speed up the progress and I’m already seeing massive improvements in my flicking! That you guys for the kind words and suggestions! (I’m hoping to hit plat in the coming weeks)
If possible, try taking the lead! I find that once one person pushes in the rest follow. You have to be willing to sacrifice yourself for the team though
Hey man ive been stuck in iron since comp released and i have gotten 3 green arrows in 3 matches in a finished mvp in two of those games and still havent ranked up any advice.
Keep grinding. Remember your rank up will depend not just on how well YOU do, but also on the score of the game, the bigger the margin the better. The skill disparity in the game, etc. If you get MVP in 2 matches in a row its still worse than winning 2 games 13-2 and bottomfragging
Dragonmar yeah and that is horsecrap to me, i get that its a team game but when i get teammate with no mics or get bronze players in gold for no reason thats just really unfair. Once a teammate leaves thats just a safe loss. Why am i being punished for others leaving.
i can try to explain: jump peeking or strafe peeking is where you jump out an angle that you want to clear but only really peek the angle for a split second before flicking back and turning back into cover. Like if you are trying to strafe peek out of hookah into B-Short on Bind. You would jump out and as soon as you get the info you need(shots, enemy locations, utility) you back out of the angle to avoid being shot. it’s a highly versatile mechanic that is pretty confusing.
@@paulitodorito ok, I think I get it now. So do you do 1 jump and don't touch the floor while outside of cover or do you jump out and then do a second jump back in. Also is it similar to a B-hop?
someone is always carrying the bomb. i’m gold 1. i don’t think you’ve ever seen this lower level gameplay because 97% of the time someone always carries the bomb. no one ever drops it or leaves it to pick it up later. if you pick it up, you carry it into site
My last 5-10 games, I’ve climbed up to gold I, then drop to Silver III, then back up and down, etc I also suffer with the issue that I have decent game sense, I have good crosshair placement, and I’m ok mechanically, but not really cause I’ve come from Overwatch and Valorant has a different shooting style with it being more realistic, and I’m still learning that, I’m mid diamond in Overwatch tho, any tips?
I’m still in silver despite my game sense being above average (at least from my perspective). The reason I am still in silver is because my aim is literal garbage since I came from console overwatch. What’s the fastest way to get decent aim?
Practice range 15 minutes per day on bots. During that time focus on crosshair placement. Crosshair placement is the #1 way to improve your aim. Focus on learning maps, learning positions and then learning how to aim at head level FOR the enemies in those positions. Once you head into a match, keep your crosshair placement in the front of your mind and just focus on making sure you are aiming in the RIGHT spot everywhere you look!
Depends by what you mean by mid control. You DONT need to play deep mid to have mid control. All you need to do is hold angles so you are aware of where they are pushing.
The valorant ranked system is so broken on one of my accounts I lost all 5 games and I was top frag 4/5 games and I was placed in iron and on my 2nd account I played one game which I won and I started playing with silvers. That one game I won I had a bad game too lmao
What helped me finally push into Immortal was that I gave up on being selfish, and just fully committed to any strat my team had. If it was clear my phoenix wasn't going to entry, I did. If we needed someone to run back to grab bomb, I would. If one person was going to stay back while everyone else hunted for kills at the end of the round, I would stay. I gave up caring about my score, and only cared about winning
The worst thing in all of Valorant much like any competitive game is people blaming everyone else for their mistakes and never owning up to their own mishaps or failures. "And I would have been Radiant too, if it wasn't for you meddling teammates!" Also people playing shit and dying over and over without getting much value and then shitting on you, when you're one of the top fraggers because you cock up once or twice in an entire match. It's like, dude, I know, it was an easy shot, I completely botched it but hey...I have like 4 times the kills you have, maybe pick up your own game a bit before losing it over someone else's mistake when they're overall playing far better than you.
Strafing left and right use the A or the D key on your keyboard and countering that movement with the opposite key. If i'm moving left with A then I want to press D to "counter" my left-strafe and stop me dead in my tracks. Presenting me with 100% first shot accuracy
3:19 - I'm gold 2. I do make the first push. I flash out with my eye and tell my team to peak with me, and push with me. They never do. And then I die, and then the enemy knows where they are and they die because they're sitting ducks lmao. I don't think it's that people don't "push" there's just too many people who refuse to push TOGETHER and let their teammates who are trying to make room for a plant die because they don't want to die
I am silver 3 I have amazing crosshair placement and good aim many people say that I deserve platinum but the problem is I lose games due to the lack of communication people never tell me when I need to rotate so its just a guessing game and some people don't even tell me if there is a flank or not. People don't even ping on the maps. This ends up in me trying to clutch the game and losing the game while I solo queue. And this is a huge problem when I run into a team with amazing communication and just puts my team on a disadvantage. I just wanted to know how I can adapt myself and win games without communication
You'll need to focus on becoming MORE aggressive if you can't rely on teammates. The only way to stop relying on them is to take the game into your own hands. Play an Agent that excels at aggression and go for it!
@@Dragonmar been playing a lot of Reyna since I main her but am not aggressive I will def work on being aggressive when I can't rely on my teammates. Thanks a lot for the tips I will apply them as much as possible and hopefully am able to climb back up to gold :D
Blatency Same thing happens to be, and stuck on silver 2, I play so much better playing phoenix but I had to play sova to have a scout but after watching videos, i think playing the agents you fill best will work better off
Most of the mistakes i dont do and im silver... Always see at least one person doing multiple of the mistakes, but telling them what they are doing wrong, they most of the time just dont care.

people being worried about being carried by lower ranks or worried about deranking is one main problem that every gold plat or diamond ranked players make to me
Happens a lot to me in high plat-mid diamond: forgetting they have the bomb, pushing, and dying deep somewhere not on site.
I thought that was only plat and gold :v
My lowest is bronze3 but there's a huge difference when it comes to plat.
I hate when at the start of a round I put the spike in a safe spot so it can be rotated easily and there's someone that picks it and die in the open.
Another good one is that people feel like they need to reload after shooting like 6 bullets. You don’t need to reload all the time!!!!

I see a lot of people use omens teleport or fake jetts dash and giving away their new position
13:07 dry peeks operator lmao
Iron and bronze need to learn the maps and how to control spray
Also dont ads 100% of the time theres a time to qnd not to ads also learn how to save
Very true, it's good to know when ADS can actually hurt you, close range for example I would suggest to never ADS as you want to have the widest view possible, and enable those quick reflex shots
@@Dragonmar also faster fire rate
"Grouping but not pushing" is soooooo annoying when you play Sage! I've had so many teams where our Reyna and Phoenix are waiting at the back instead of leading, it gets frustrating to the point where I would just front-frag with Sage which is fucking terrible because if you die peaking you didn't even get to heal anyone.
what about keeping track of what enemies die on a push? so u know "ok sage is dead so she cant wall or slow" paying attention to the enemies utility
That grouping but not pushing happens to much In low elo, I get 3 fraggers and 2 flashes and no one wants to go in it’s so annyoing, especially when I’m sage and then I force the engage and die
i hate when my teammates die over and over again from the same thing. Like peeking long every round and dying everytime
Make sure to play with your entry fragger guys, you need at least one person to push in with them and get a trade on the enemy
Im trying to sneak up on a an enemy, and my teammate jett literally runs full speed with her ult out and dies instantly, now I have to slowly walk back as the enemy is already aware of people coming this way. Some people are just incredibly stupid.
Or they drop the bomb or a gun, or use some ability that makes noise. It never stops unfortunately!

Nice 10k subs
"The wood league ranks" I was laughing for 2 minutes straight
i suffer from force buying every round and now im on iron 2 lol
ALL RANKS: People trying to big dick and 1v2 peeking to get kills when the enemy has not enough time to plant when all they needed to do was live. And just not playing time correctly in general.
Another thing I hate even in Normals is when people shoot there gun or stab the wall, pretty much letting them know how much people are here.
Great video, keep it up!
tip: slow walk out of a smoke, most times people see you before you see them and its something i see alot
Good job man i hope your channel grows
force buying to often is from iron to low gold because i climbed from iron 2 to plat 3 and down to gold 2 and people save alot in gold and plat
what font are you using in the titles?
Same bro what region do you play on
This game needs a replay system, I thought the same but then recorded my self and realized how bad I am
bro love your explanation and you got my sub plus love
what if my team is walking after i gave them the info that everyone left from the enemy team is on the other site, confirmed. and they continue walking giving them time to rotate? i think what you said there is not always true. (im talking specifically on the offensive)
Tell them to use the white circle on the minimap (when running). Once you get near site walk again to not give away your position.
I get grouping up and not pushing all the time in my bronze games
If possible, try taking the lead! I find that once one person pushes in the rest follow. You have to be willing to sacrifice yourself for the team though
Hey man ive been stuck in iron since comp released and i have gotten 3 green arrows in 3 matches in a finished mvp in two of those games and still havent ranked up any advice.
Keep grinding. Remember your rank up will depend not just on how well YOU do, but also on the score of the game, the bigger the margin the better. The skill disparity in the game, etc. If you get MVP in 2 matches in a row its still worse than winning 2 games 13-2 and bottomfragging
play with higher friends, you gain elo faster/win
Dragonmar yeah and that is horsecrap to me, i get that its a team game but when i get teammate with no mics or get bronze players in gold for no reason thats just really unfair. Once a teammate leaves thats just a safe loss. Why am i being punished for others leaving.
I’m high gold and low plat and a problem I do and I see other people do they have the headshot lined up and just end up gitterjng and missing the shot
Yes all the time! It’s all about that trigger discipline and committing it to memory so that shooting before moving your mouse becomes second nature
2:30 my favorite reload animation
Also people put their crosshair directly on the wall then expect to flick to when the enemy swings
I was here before you blew up I love your channel and have a good day !
Keep em coming im hard stuck plat 3
Bro same, every time I’m 1 game away from diamond I face like shroud
bro im hard stuck bronze 3
@@scara6595 oh no. just focus on improving your personal gameplay and you can climb fast
Dude like everytime i play comp, they always aim in when their close to the enemies.
7:28 anyone got a timestamp where he does this or a video where its explained. I dont really get what hes saying here
i can try to explain: jump peeking or strafe peeking is where you jump out an angle that you want to clear but only really peek the angle for a split second before flicking back and turning back into cover.
Jimbok21 you jump out and strafe back into cover before landing
someone is always carrying the bomb. i’m gold 1. i don’t think you’ve ever seen this lower level gameplay because 97% of the time someone always carries the bomb. no one ever drops it or leaves it to pick it up later. if you pick it up, you carry it into site
My last 5-10 games, I’ve climbed up to gold I, then drop to Silver III, then back up and down, etc
I also suffer with the issue that I have decent game sense, I have good crosshair placement, and I’m ok mechanically, but not really cause I’ve come from Overwatch and Valorant has a different shooting style with it being more realistic, and I’m still learning that, I’m mid diamond in Overwatch tho, any tips?

Thank you, this is very informative
Dragonmar bro thanks 🙏
Download kovaaks or aim lab and find playlists
do you have a video of your settings on valorant? i like your crosshair
8:20 Because idk how to prpperly use my abilities
The mistake i see literally every game is people not playing for map control, especially mid control on ascent(diamond)
Depends by what you mean by mid control. You DONT need to play deep mid to have mid control. All you need to do is hold angles so you are aware of where they are pushing.
iron: not knowing when to play passive or agressive and also not knowing how to give callouts since most of them solo queue
Is it just me or is everyone getting a league of legends ad every 0.1 seconds
Another tip for ranks below plat. Just dont crouch, people dont aim for your head so if you crouch theyre just going to get an easy headshot.
The valorant ranked system is so broken on one of my accounts I lost all 5 games and I was top frag 4/5 games and I was placed in iron and on my 2nd account I played one game which I won and I started playing with silvers. That one game I won I had a bad game too lmao
Did anyone else see the weird Operator shorty reload at 2:36??!
I ave a friend at low elo who does barely any of these mistakes lmao
Do you have any tips for a diamond trying to get to immortal?
It's like, dude, I know, it was an easy shot, I completely botched it but hey...I have like 4 times the kills you have, maybe pick up your own game a bit before losing it over someone else's mistake when they're overall playing far better than you.
what is counter-strafing?
Yeah, can agree with all of them, they are even same in CSGO ;D
I always have teammates who dry push opers
I can’t get better crosshair placement mannnn I’m getting better but I never can hit headshots my hand just becomes stiff and I can’t aim properly
Blatency Same thing happens to be, and stuck on silver 2, I play so much better playing phoenix but I had to play sova to have a scout but after watching videos, i think playing the agents you fill best will work better off
Bruh, i came from silver it's easy to rank up if you're aggressive and have a good aim. Just use phoenix or reyna. Im now at plat.
Most of the mistakes i dont do and im silver...
Always see at least one person doing multiple of the mistakes, but telling them what they are doing wrong, they most of the time just dont care.
