You give great tips that have helped me improve but many strategies for getting out of my rank (sil 3) require the team to work together ie. trading and defaulting what advice do you have on that?
It probably feels like that because gold is one of the biggest tiers number wise so there are a lot of people in gold. That means you'll start seeing really good players, but there are still a lot of things you can do to get an edge
It's really frustrating! I'm stuck at G3, where I find INSANELY good players, both as my teammates and enemys, but every single time I rank up to Plat my teammates rarely get more than 5-8 kills during the WHOLE game and end up losing almost all matches and getting deranked back to Gold :(

Nah if you get 30 kills per game then u would rank up regardless of losses. Also when I played in Iron (plat smurf) I got 46 kills just running around. So 30 kills in iron is nothing to brag about.

So I run Killjoy most of the time and my friend runs Cypher. I’m a more aggressive player and on attack play Killjoy in that way. Is this good or should I just not play Killjoy.
Killjoy and Cypher are both weaker agents on attack since they lack offensive utility, but are both good for post-plant situations which are essentially like defending anyway. Just be careful to have enough smokes/flashes on your team or you will have a very rough time vs Operators which tend to have quite an easy time vs heavy Sentinel team comps. I've found Killjoy very fun on attack for holding flanks with her turret and alarmbot, you can get so many kills on enemies that think they're surprising your team.
It's fine since you seem to be comfortable with her but you should still try using agents that will compliment you playstyle and see if it works out. Have a friend who also played agressively with Killjoy. I recommended him to use Breach, Phoenix, or Reyna. He has then switched mains.
Is gold actually considered low rank? I’ve been stuck in gold games and there are so many good gold players. When I get into a plat Elo game, there really isn’t much of a difference except more common headshots
Elite Yoshi gold and plat are generally the same except plats have better strategies. There are plenty of golds better than plats and plats that are better than golds. Between gold and plat, I’d say the difference is luck of teammates and the team you play against and grinding
@@aidenho131 as someone in plat/gold. Ur right. As long as your teammates don't flame each other and can provide decent information. Then you will win. But then I also often get teammates that give up after round 2.
That happens a lot, it just means you’ve grown as a player which is good. Try to emulate what you do on your smurf but on your main. It just takes time because of how rooted your mmr of your main is
Imo if you want to rank up in silver duelists is the way to go. I absolutely hate playing duelists (iam a brim main) but now iam forced to play duelists cuz iam tryna rank up
I've been a hardstuck silver since act 1(currently b3). Most of it I believe comes from my potato aim. Like I can do decent in training and dms but when I hop into an actual match I tend to whiff a lot. How do I actually carry my training into actual games. Also how do I have consistent aim?
aimlab always helps but i would 100 percent bet its nerves, even me at p2/p3 i can whiff hard on an easy 1v3 just cause of nerves. the only thing you can really do is just be patient
Yeah i do use aimlab. It is a part of the 'training' I mentioned. Also practice counter-strafing in the range. But when it comes to an actual match all of that just goes off the charts and I'm not at all able to do it in the right moments. I'm relatively new to the 'competitive' fps genre(since I recently built a pc to be able to play games decently). It's just the transfer of training that I'm not able to pull off.
Peacemekka yeah all i can tell you is that it comes with experience. all of your problems are directly because of nerves and theres only a couple ways to solve that. also counter strafing doesnt slow you down like cs does because of valorants movement system (also why you cant move faster by bhopping like cs)

Yes
Gold is pretty much average from my understanding
@@Dragonmar oh really... My bad. I haven't play with any gold players so i don't know
Elite Yoshi gold and plat are generally the same except plats have better strategies.
But then I also often get teammates that give up after round 2.
my smurf is gold 3 my main is silver 3 this game is dumb
That happens a lot, it just means you’ve grown as a player which is good. Try to emulate what you do on your smurf but on your main. It just takes time because of how rooted your mmr of your main is
I'm in Plat1 rn and I wanna get to diamond soon :(
Thats a big jump and will probably take a month (almost the end of the act)
Stopped playing support agents completely and just started locking Phoenix. Just carried my way out of silver.
Hey good luck man! Sometimes the agents we play just don’t fit what we need to do in our current rank to win
Imo if you want to rank up in silver duelists is the way to go. I absolutely hate playing duelists (iam a brim main) but now iam forced to play duelists cuz iam tryna rank up
Just hit D2 hopefully this will help me on the way to immortal
Wish you luck man, that is a climb I’ve don’t myself and boy can it be frustrating
why is plat a deathtrap to get out of??
Wideeee variety of skill levels and play styles
Any tips if you team dc’s
Yes, you have to play together even more. Trading becomes even more important
Best tip from me is to play a lot of dm. Really helps practice consistently killing real opponents.
Nathan Holm he said he was decent at dms and not in comps
Great vid
my buddies are lower rank and they understand a lot of these concepts so if i showed them this video they would just scoff at it
People understand these tips but Just dont implement the tips in game
TIP 1: YOU JUST NEED A BETTER AIM!!!
Can I queue with you and help me reach gold 1 now silver 2 plzzzzzz I'm hard stuck silver with good aim too
Dude plat to diamond 1 is still low rlo
Driking game: take a shot every time he says "uhm". Im currently almost blacked out
Hey! I uhhh, sometimes can’t find the right words!
@@Dragonmar nahhh man, it was a joke ! I actually love ur vids! Ahha. If by some luck u review my vod, u take a shot at every bad decision i make and you'll black out in the first 3 rounds of the match 😂
