I'm going to keep a log of my progress here in case anyone else wants to have an idea of what it will feel like
DAy1-3:My aim is still dodo so i don't know what to say. Hard to get used to slowing down the game for headshots
    Day 4:Seeing significant amount of bottom fragging from trying to get headshots and when i do get it a kill, its not a headshot ;-;
Day 10:I have been getting better aim in my training routine but i haven't seen much results ingame.
No idea what day im on now but i am getting bored of doing it and it has become a chore more than entertaining.
Day 14(8-15-20): i missed a day but I am getting more headshots with the vandal, getting my first 30 bomb with jett.
Day 19(8-20-20):I am now silver 1 but i missed another day of the routine.
Day:24(8-25-20) I am now silver 3 but I've been working on my game sense more than aiming at this point.
Day:28(8-29-20) I got gold yesterday and getting a lot more headshots but stopped doing the aiming routine cause of my hands.
    >End:Its been over a month now but I want y'all to understand last act I was bronze 3 and this act I started on iron 3. Of course I didn't reach immortal level but I have not played an fps in YEARS or even on a pc. So i came in with, no pc experience, no fps experience, and Arthritis. Do ur best and we'll see each other in immortal one day.
LITTLE UPDATE I am currently gold 2! I hope I don't lose it but hey its rank. Just trying to hit plat by the end of the act but if not Gold 2 is perfectly fine.
🤔Thank you for taking ur time scrolling through the comments and reading my message😊🥵
Edit:04-14-24 hello everyone i am back here to update. In my time of absence i coached(with some success) the game for a bit and stopped playing around after breeze dropped. Since then I played Apex to masters(pred was too much work) and now back into Val I play EU with 135 ping and have a high mmr of diamond as a gold 3 rank. Since these comments I've talked to many aim trainers and valorant players and will let y'all know if this truly is the strategy to good aim.
    >I did not watch the full video just the little summary at the start and I agree with most of it. When aim training it's really important with how you approach it >> score. For example if you flick a lot and have to micro adjust then that's bad but you still hit the target so who cares right? Wrong your first flick and stopping power should be directly on the target so play slow until you're consistent with stopping on the dot then slowly ramp up the speed until it's too much. I would highly recommend not just playing aim scenarios without any guide or instruction as learning on your own is too stressful, try Voltaic or any other similar group that's designed specifically for aim training to help.

Well, admittedly, I especially agree with the view "The importance thing is your accuracy, slow it down if you have to, maintain it". People have seen alot of flick, fast aim from pro. Trying to mimic this is such a daunting task for not only newbies but also experienced players, regardless of their ranks. It occurs to me, a god flick is the result of the process he recommends above, not a method for achieve itself.

Great video. To echo his advice, remember, you want to improve your *aim*, as in your accuracy. It's not about speed. When you're training in an aim trainer the focus should be on accuracy, not on how many targets you can hit in 30 seconds. It's about consistency and precision, not high scores. Don't be that guy who restarts a challenge after missing the first target. Always play to the end. Remember, this is training.
One of the greatest esports players of all time is Daigo Umehara. He's a fighting games legend, go watch Moment 37 if you haven't. After decades of competing he wrote a book where he talks about learning that you have to learn to train to get better before you should train to win. Work on your precision, your shot consistency, then when you have faith in your base mechanics you have a foundation for everything else, including for more niche techniques like flicking. Don't practice flicks until after you're a good shot.

This video made me climb ranks after a year of playing valo. I've been stuck at silver for months due to my aim inconsistency as a high sens aimer. I focused on micro flicks and clicking heads slowly instead of randomly shooting and spray and pray. Also,DONT CROUCH. Counter strafe always while shooting with either phantom or vandal for developing good habits. Also, abuse run and gun with spectre at short range.
This combined with dragonmar vids for better game sense. It will help a lot. It worked for me even with my high sens almost the same as hiko's. So it should work for you too.

Day 1: this is probably my first time ever training my tarcking and oh boy is this tough.
I will probably update this as I continue my journey with trying to improve my overall aim in valorant. hopefully i will finally get out of gold lol
