I've been patiently waiting for this title since the studio was first formed. Not easy to get my hopes up these days for upcoming titles but I just can't help it with this one.
Yep. James Ohlen was there for 22 years. Worked on the best Bioware has ever had to offer and he was smart enough to jump ship the moment he smelled the bullshit.
The time dilation aspect is good mechanic for a game - time goes much more slowly for you than folks that don't travel. Your spouse/children/friends will have aged when you return from trips. Neat.
It does. You play as a half human, half celestial. So you get to interact with the world in ways other people can't, it seems. The lore seems rock solid, having established sci-fi authors helping with it, and the concept art looks like a dream.
If you're interested in immersing yourself into the lore of this particular universe, there's a book releasing called Exodus: The Archimedes Engine By Peter F. Hamilton. It looks really good. I'm looking forward to this game. The game is being made by the OG guys from Bioware that made Mass Effect. (just in case you weren't aware)
I know! I watched the Q&As and I am so genuinely excited. I definetely want to read the book! I don't know when it will be out, but oh boy, I love me some grim dark sci-fi!
Funded by Wizards of the Coast I believe, but without any creative input from them. You should check out Mars Attracts too, set in the Mars Attacks universe and we'll be the Martians torturing humans in sn amusement park.
Being from an Outer World and Warframing through Mass Effect, into the Dead Space, we find ourselves in the precipice of Exodus. Unlike the last months, we tried to put on our Elden Ring to fight aside with Black Myth Wukong and our Palworlds against this Veilguards of tyranny and Diablo's minions, sent to brainwash consumers with politics and demand our hard-earned gold for nothing but wasted time. But I digress, I think a lot of gamers gathered up at the Gates of Baldur, they've talked it all up and decided to go Hardcore on Diablo's minions and not buy their shits anymore. We just all .. fell into a Concord agreement and became what Outlaws should have been. Ubisoft's Shadows have been creeping up on us but I think we are fine.
