If they would have said it's the Sims fantasy dragon age cross over, I wouldn't have been surprised. I was surprised to see them wanting to sell me this as dragon age. And I'm not even a huge dragon age fan. I love the first one but I wouldn't miss anything if you remove everything after. I understand the franchise better than the people who are paid good money to know that stuff deeper as I do...

I've played through the first three Dragon Age and Mass Effect games multiple times- it's sad to see the Dragon Age series getting the Mass Effect: Andromeda treatment.
Bioware will never learn their lesson, no matter how many failures they pump-out.

This youtuber is pretty representative of the micro community of fans on twitter: the game is just a pretext for their personal and political fantasies.
They will talk about hair, pet animals, express their physical attraction to the slightest random npc, and go to the official Dragon Age account to ask if we can romance skeletons and the elven boss (yes it's real).
They don't care about gameplay, lore consistency, story consistency, artistic consistency, visual quality, interface etc. They want a queer dating simulator that represents their real-life identity in the Dragon Age universe, that's all.
This is what the Bioware community has become: a bunch of awkward weirdos.

It sucks that when Veilguard fails to meet Ea's requirements in sales, they'll shelve the Dragon Age IP and we wont see another game. I hope they just end up selling the IP, and you know who I hopes gets the chance to buy it? Archetype Entertainment.

All this talk about Veilguard got me in the mood to replay the previous games. I just finished two playthroughs of Origins with a Rogue and a Mage, currently working on a Warrior. This game is so freaking good. Everything I have been shown about Veilguard and I don't even know what I am looking at. This is 100% going to be the ME Andromeda of Dragon Age, but worse. I don't know how that is possible but it is going to be worse than Andromeda.

As for the game and the situation around it, I strongly believe this is going to be a turning point for Bioware in case it fails. Hate to admit it, but I kinda wish the game failed so that EA would finally do something about the dev team that keeps feeding us this shitty woke abominations. Failure will probably affect Mass Effect 4 (a game I'm very excited for), but at least there is a chance to shift the views of what a real Dragon Age should be.

i HATE how this game looks, and I hate everything it stands for. There is no Dragon Age left in this soulless cash grab. It looks like a f2p mobile game with the terrible UI and the overuse of effects. Everything is glowing and flashy now because some designer recently discovered the VFX system of the engine and its a convenient way to cover up flaws in the design. The devs show contempt for the older games in the series all the time to make their own game look better.
Why prop the game up as this bulwark of queerness? How is this more queer than f'ing Starfield? Queerness is a huge aspect of Baldur's Gate 3 but Larian did not make it their main marketing point. In fact it was barely mentioned apart from: there is no gender lock on the romance and here have some pronouns. This is prime rainbow capitalism and they eat that shit right up. Making all female characters butch is not feminism or diversity. In fact I don't know a single transwoman who would like to play anything but a overly feminine women. As much as I love my non-binary twink characters, I also love my cute petite female characters and my big muscleman himbos.
It's embarrassing how much people defend trash just because someone scribbled queer with a sharpy on it last minute. Have some standards people. And don't get wet over hair physics. That's not even something new.

Btw to anybody that wants an actually good game that is more like origins go check out Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and of course Baldurs Gate 3 if you haven't already. Two of my favourite games ever and definitely a must play in my opinion.
I will add Divinity Original Sin 2 in that list.

I'm currently on yet another playthrough of Origins again. It's somehow gotten even more enjoyable for me. I honestly may even play Inquisition I genuinely don't see the point playing the 4th one because all my choices don't matter. Why would you wanna play a game where someone else chooses what happens? Its like some person constantly shows up like "HMMMMM NO I DON'T LIKE THIS LETS CHANGE IT UP A BIT😏" why am I wrong for wanting my world to feel like its mine? :(

Can we just once get a very dark and realistic looking Dragon Age and Diablo game? For whatever reason they absolutely must make them look cartoonish and that kills the vibe of these games for me at least. All throughout our years of playing games we've all dreamed about getting that RPG that just blows you away from how dark the vibe is and how realistic it looks. Can we get away from cartoon graphics for a while lol. It cracks me up how we all know that's what we want but devs always gotta go in the complete opposite direction. Then when we all get pissed they try to backtrack a bit (as with Diablo 3) and try to dial down the cartoon look but it's to late when the game was designed that way from the beginning.
I did some hobby worldbuilding where I designed a setting for a dark fantasy, psychological horror, dungeon crawler, with extremely limited social interactions in the game. I feel like realism helps dark fantasy create a special kindof tension, and often over stylization robs games of that tension.
I'm a huge DA fan that's hugely disappointed by the new design and combat direction that I've seen so far and my god I never knew I needed your channel thank you yt algorithm. I'm so sick and tired of all the paid reviews

The delusion people consists of tourists (which is ironic, since they love to use that word against anyone who goes against their toxic ideology, regardless if it's factual) and woke individuals who MIGHT have played the games, but do not represent the overall fandom of the franchise.
Actual fans know that the game is full of shapeshifting magic so gender affirming surgery scars wouldn't be a thing, because surgeries wouldn't be a thing to begin with.
The real fans of the franchise are just sad that the game got infected by the woke virus and that there's a very high change the game will flop because of it.

But yeah, from what I have seen I really don't recommend this game to OG fans, specially those who wants to see their previous choices play out. Hell, I didn't want to play it at first, but I said to myself "I've played Jump Force, DA 2, the 2022 Saints Row and ME: Andromeda, plus I forced myself to watch a Forspoken playthrough... This can't be worse than all that"

@@nuhre yeah i couldn't agree more. i mean we could also extrapolate from that that she hate all men and have a specific hatred of male gamers, which isn't a good thing, since promoting hatred of any group of people is bad all around. I mean, WW2 wasn't enough for them i guess, now instead of deleting all Jews they want to deletes all men from existence. Ain't that kind of ironic how their ideology is very similar to that of a certain party in Germany that did terrible thing between 1939 and 1945 right ?
If they had they way we would've another event like that waged against men, and the rest of the world would probably let them do it and then just swoop in with their army full of strong men and conquer the western world with ease, due to those countries having removed their men forcefully from existence and once they do, they would be powerless to stop those countries from invading and from taking over and their dream of a perfect utopia will be gone, ended and buried and they would live under tyranny for generations to come.
I mean if that's they want, its our duty to stop them from making it a reality, until the very last person.
