Bravo maestro!!!! Another triumph! I'm passing this on to our students at the Angel Academy, Florence. (Thanks, too, for the great talk you gave to our students yesterday!)
Cesar, you are an inspiration... not just to the artist-audience in general, but to the Latino community as a whole! I wish you much-continued success!
Thank you Cesar for your interest in people. I appreciate you. I hope you continue to grow and develop in your craft. You an inspiration a special human being. I hope you surpass your wildest dreams ..
Silence can speak louder than words especially unnecessary words. Art should not be downgraded with trending elements such as rap that fade with time if you want to outlive them. Passion for beauty and reverence of the arts should not be blurred by our own self indulgence. Sometimes it is best to hold back in those areas that we have not yet mastered. This artist has so much to offer in his field but hopefully he will regard people and their energetic frequencies. These frequencies encapsulate us in walls are delicate as the walls of soap bubbles that burst when they are exposed to events out of context. This is the internet and as we evolve and mature...
I love what you said of finding abstract forms in the shapes of the shadows...i am mostly self taught and have been considering this in my contemplation! Thank you for sharing.
I really like this guy,...I used to be all over the place with my art, and than I would loose focus and quit,....now I just concentrate on portrait drawing,...that’s it,...starting to see real progress in my drawing,....and Santos is one of my go to artist,...anybody else that is struggling I suggest pick one area of discipline and use one medium of drawing tools,...have fun.
Thank you! This is amazing. You're so generous with your time and I'm grateful that you are sharing your skill with us. I look forward to every video. :) Keep up your amazing work!
I love these videos and they are so inspiring and helpful ... but I also have to compliment you on the great choices of the background musi.. great choices...Thank you for sharing so much of yourself.. I commend your courage. Such a gift to us all trying to work our way through this art journey.. well, at least I am trying to and enjoying every minute of it! I feel so Blessed that I have such a passion for art...I have a reason to get up each morning and cease the day!!!
Oh my God! How could you hold your sketchbook up for that long with a single hand? (How much much do you physically exercise daily? Do you still boxe?)
Inspirationally rich, the true passion for life reflects in your work. The spirit of the Masters is sensed through your dedication, commitment, integrity, honor, and devotion to your craft.
Thanks Cesar. A pleasure and wonderfully informative. Amazing when your eyes are wide open. Although the most entertaining video was when you and Proko were blindfolded and working from memory. Much inspiration in all your videos!
Hey Cesar! I recognize that painting and Robert Henri’s “Salome” in the background. They were on loan last time I was at The Ringling Museum. Have you been there? It’s an amazing place! Great video as always. Keep ‘em coming. 👍🏻
Hi I'm a tributary from Iraq I live in Baghdad and I love your work Sir Cesar Sentos and I love her and I hope you will be my teacher and I love the place where I finished and thank you my greetings from Iraq😍😍😍😍
Thank you for sharing......are you always so up.....(a lot of Energy..... enthusiastic with everything you do...)...just met you thru utub.....it’s a blessing...
Eccellente!!! I really enjoyed the video and the way you feel the soul of the paintings through them and I like how you try to catch that "something" that every painting has, I do the same and it's an amazing feeling! I can live in museum!! Hahahaha! Thanks for sharing I always learn more and new things from you.
Thank you so much for your tips, Cesar, absolutely beautiful study! I will try a charcoal study with this inspiration and try to keep dark/light in mind :)
Interesting to break the face into major shadow areas early on. Usually, I do that later, but I can see the major advantage of this definition earlier in the work. I like the smudge crayons to get the shadows even before moving on to higher light/dark contrasts.
Great, just found you on YT... enjoy your presenting style and enthusiasm. It's like watching a miracle when you see what comes from nothing. May I ask what the charcoal holder device is called? I have many 'raw' sticks, but they are cumbersome and break very easily. Keep up the good work.
Amazing Video! Was wondering If you could give quick tutorials for oil painting, such as how to paint eyebrows (because im currently struggling sooooo hard right now) and maybe how to not blend in toooo much (which i understand takes practice like most things) or even how to change something from a photo reference into a painting, eg: weird shadow on face that just wont work in the painting, or a strange bit of light or whatever) :)
Hi Cesar! I love watching these vids and especially love watching you work with charcoal. It's an inspiration for me to start working in traditional media again. Does anyone here have some recommendations for what grade of paper is best for using charcoal and pencils?
Hey Caesar, Could you perhaps do a video on HOW you sharpen the charcoal. I haven't found a good guide and I am a total noob at it. I broke a couple and I'm super frustrated. Any advice would be great thanks
I know I've seen a video where he shows how he does it. I think it was a video about supplies he got sent home, not sure. He mentioned that lower quality charcoal breaks easier, if I remember correctly.
I saw that one. I'm saying explaining how he actually does it. I watched it but it was in quick time and I don't really understand what he was doing in the video.
Here is someone sharpening Nitram. ruclips.net/video/T1eUZHEINVU/видео.html Here is another one (kinda) ruclips.net/video/T1eUZHEINVU/видео.html so combine all these PS you can play videos slower in yt
Hi, I love your work. I'm from Chile, I had a question about the material you use to make your sketches. My question was what material it is. thank you very much.
This charcoals with the holders looks like some magician's wand (what isn't far from truth in your case).
I’ve been watching your videos every night for about a week, and I think you have persuaded me to pick up the paintbrush I dropped forty years ago...
16:17 - "And if we make a mistake, we have to fix it. We can not make it into birds". There's no such thing as happy accidents to Cesar Santos... lol!
haha hes giving the nod™ to another artist.
Game recognize game
Bravo maestro!!!! Another triumph! I'm passing this on to our students at the Angel Academy, Florence. (Thanks, too, for the great talk you gave to our students yesterday!)
Michael John Angel it was a pleasure to see you and talk to your students! Cheers. See you soon
I just loved the way, he maintained his tone in the museum. What a delight to watch this artist in action.
Cesar, you are an inspiration... not just to the artist-audience in general, but to the Latino community as a whole! I wish you much-continued success!
Your videos make me so happy ☺️ I’ve been watching daily with my morning coffee
This is by far the best art channel on RUclips, at least IMO.. and I´ve seen a few of them already. Proko is still one of my favorites tho...
i recommend vilppu cause its the best on traditional aspects of drawings
I love Proko because he introduces a lot of great artist in the world that's why he's also my favourite.
It was really great and learned a lot. Thank you Cesar Santos.
Thank you Cesar for your interest in people. I appreciate you. I hope you continue to grow and develop in your craft. You an inspiration a special human being. I hope you surpass your wildest dreams ..

I've seen that painting several times at the John Ringling museum in Sarasota, always loved it!
Oh my God! How could you hold your sketchbook up for that long with a single hand? (How much much do you physically exercise daily? Do you still boxe?)
I love how the charcoal sound touching the paper echoes in the museum i wish museums were this silent
Thanks Cesar for sharing 💕 however the sound of the charcoal drives me crazy 😜
Lucy art noooo way, that sound is like music :)
Oh i used to hate it too, but it doesn’t bother me now since i’m so used to scratchy noises when it comes to art haha
You're looking like a wizard holding that charcoal wand.

Hi Cesar. What do you use to sharpen those Nitram charcoals to such a sharp point, a cutter, sandpaper, a special sharpener? Thanks
Good morning thank you very much
It’s a really nice drawing as you got the likeness there, just wish you’d also drawn the little head tilt the woman has. But other than that it’s 💯
