Is nobody gonna talk about how Cesar's videos always have the most rocking jamming background music? I've never felt so damn cool while watching someone paint eyes.
Cesar owns a Bouguereau... It's just a study but that just blew my tiny artist mind. Bouguereau is one of my favorite figure/portrait artists. This is a great video thanks for sharing.
Glad you mentioned the eye muscles and how they change in reaction to what happens else where in the face. I've just learned that and I'm finding it challenging. Thanks for sharing this -your videos are as always very inspiring. :)
Thank you for sharing your process with us, Cesar! I loved the note about how the eyes change as well, such a good observation. Do you think you would ever do a video about the art you’ve collected and how you’ve acquired your pieces? I had to rewind, I was like, “he has a Bouguereau!?” I bet there’s a cool story there! Thank you again. I have a few of your portrait classes and absolutely love them. Keep them coming. 👏🏻👏🏻
Hi to you that's the crazy thing I see before I love how you go in and change anytime plus you show how it done man love your work so cool thanks for your work
You did a masterful job opening her eyes up and I realize I'm in the very small minority who prefer the expression of her eyes closed but it was terrific watching the transformation. Thank you for sharing 💖
I do preferred the eyes closed pose too but for the reason that it gives a more spiritual feeling to the piece, often we have the eyes open position with masters of painting.
Mr. Santos, I tried to watch your brush strokes, seems easy, but when I tried it, don't look the same from your painting. Is there a secret in brush strokes? I hope you can also give an indepth tutorial on brush strokes when you are free. Thank you.
Perception, intention, expression... to flow and let from within a path that, out of curiosity and belief, shapes the form...; the more a stroke is calculated, the less the organic process of painting takes place. let it happen, without perfection, persist, and the strokes will begin to take shape.
I was going to say the expression still felt empty then I noticed the updated version.. Not sure how you managed to turn her eyes and still keep the layering together. wow.
8:14 hi I'm a beginner and wanted to know why I are drawing from such a distance( Ur hand isn't close to the tip of the brush ) when doing details? Aren't details and precise lines supposed to be done up close? Is it because of experience or because u wanted a more vague shape to start with?
Now that was something - you opened her eyes - now I thought the original with closed eyes to be a perfect motive - opening her eyes and giving her this wayward stare? You live, you make mistakes, that was a mistake. It's just a dead stare!
Lovely video Cesar as always but .... I don't like the camera shake all the way through the video. Shame as its such a distraction from your delightful skills 🖌
I like the one with her eyes closed, it seems more classic, and it seems as she is looking at the dog. But I don't understand why you want to change, your explanation doesn't make sense to me, otherwise.... You're great 👍😊
Since I saw how the hairs at her right look just like a male figure it is really hard for me to get back to a virgin brain. Tell me I'm not the only one who notice that and please Santos Cesar tell me that was intentionnal! I just like to watch your art, video, everything, watching this video again Bam! Look what I saw.

Don’t focus on the strokes themselves, focus on the shapes they make and try that instead.

This technique is very useful. I have have officially been to a mini masters class.
Muito bom, tá de parabéns 😎👏👏👏
Здравствуйте! Занятно получилось
Can you do some wolf tutorials? I love the wolf in this piece.
Yea, I think the open eyes makes the painting more powerful. I didn't see your model. Did you use a photo reference or imagination to make the change?
I looked at several models.
great change ...
Beautiful painting! What are the brushes that you are using?
I was going to say the expression still felt empty then I noticed the updated version.. Not sure how you managed to turn her eyes and still keep the layering together. wow.

I don't know, that's how I find precision. It develops over time.
Do whatever you find comfortable.
❤
3:15 wait……dies Cesar own that William bouguereau?? Or is that just a really good print
It's probably a copy he did

Is the bearded man in her hair intentional ?
😍😍
As you opened the first eye I was thinking I would have left the other one closed :-D looks amazing to me....am I wrong?
Now that was something - you opened her eyes - now I thought the original with closed eyes to be a perfect motive - opening her eyes and giving her this wayward stare? You live, you make mistakes, that was a mistake. It's just a dead stare!
Great painting. I have a qustion, do you ever sand in between layers?
Seeing the eyes start to come through as the painting aged would of been even more interesting if the eyes were painted first.
❤❤❤
Do you mount or stretch your canvas? If so, what do you mount it to?
Do you feel more inspired in Italy?
I think it looked way better with the eyes closed.
I liked the eyes shut
7:05 me after I have a stroke from the COVID vaccine
🤣
Please interview Charlse Miano one day

I like eyes closed batter
Nice painting but I like the eyes shut.🤔
She can not open her eyes until she comes to life
Still not exist technology to open eyes from left picture view, and close from right? :F

No more rap in the endings?? :(
Когда открыл глаза взгляд получился тупым смотрящим в некуда, идея картины основательно испорчена.непонимаю эту пустую и глупую трату времени.
Evreything is good but you talk alot.
