I love this. I have a portable creekside vise that just has a lag screw on the bottom. My challenge is to wander with just hooks and a bobbin and find everything to make a fly or jig that will catch a fish.
That second fly certainly resembles a maggot, and I sure the fish think the same. That third one looks like a great project for an unsinkable fly for me when using the hopper - dropper methods, my imagination is not as good these days or rather my creativity so you have given me some good ideas.
It is a maggot! I use these for a bunch of species like panfish and trout. It is such an incredible fly under an indicator or drop shot tight line. The popper is great wont sink no matter what! It pushes water enough plus those silly legs help it stay oriented when stripping. The first fly i do with the chamois cloth is like the maggot, just catches a ton of fish. If you are going to tie any of these, the first two will smash fish all day long. Happy fishing and thanks a bunch for taking a gander🙂

Don't forget X-mas decorations.
Cool! I have always collected 'stuff' to see if I can pull a fly off with. Other people's garbage is another man's flies. 😸
Haha! So true man! I take so many wacky things and sometimes am surprised by what can be done. Thank you for watching
Definitely gonna give the wax worm a try
