Black stoneflies are aquatic insects belonging to the order Plecoptera. They are commonly found in clean, cold, and well-oxygenated streams and rivers, making them good indicators of water quality. The nymphs (immature stage) of black stoneflies live underwater, clinging to rocks and feeding on algae, detritus, or other small organisms. They have long, slender bodies, often dark brown to black in color, and two tails. Adult black stoneflies have two pairs of wings and are typically darker in color, with some species displaying a more matte or shiny black appearance.
Stoneflies play a significant role in freshwater ecosystems as they are both prey and predator. They are also of interest to fly fishermen, who often use artificial lures mimicking stoneflies to catch fish, particularly trout.

Cool tie ....just a suggestion....you could gently heat the zip tie or run 2 pieces of lead wire each side of the hook under a thread base before putting the zip tie on...as I said just a suggestion if someone doesn't have nano silk.....keep up the amazing work, love the channel.
O addirittura la striscia della fascettafarla uguale ma di piombo il filo se lo schiacci con 2 pezzi di acciaio nella morsa da banco
This was really cool to watch last night- I have a bunch of stonefly parts I picked up from a show and haven't used them (it's been years)- I'm definitely inspired now

I believe in most cases, fish can identify real food by their silhouette while floating by. Nice tie in to create that image of a real fly.
Muy bueno. 👨🏼🦲👍🏼
@fabulousrobert6607 thank you, sir
Thanks for posting yet another awesome video. Your focus on the detail is simply amazing. Thank you
@@danjost8797 thank you for watching
Amazing..... thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice Video and a very nice pattern.
Little trick: Turn off the Autofocus of your camera and the fly ist never blurry.
Thank you 🎉
Respect. Art comes from ability. 😀👍

You are correct in many ways. Thank you.
Otra buena aplicación de una brida unex 😏
Excellent work, thank you!

All that plastic makes it a hard plastic fishing lure! Looks very realistic
Machines make hard plastic lures. Thank you.
And it's also soft.
Yeah, I think I'll just go buy some Creme plastic stoneflies.

Beutiful pattern.
Thank you!
Voila! J’adore ❤
Voila!
this is a cool pattern but i wish he would've used pheasant tail to make the legs, he took so much time with the body, etc, that i seemed like sacrilege.
@@colbeaux the Pheasant Tail fibers are too thin for that sized bug.
Круто🤝
🤜🤛
You should have just used black .
@LeeChappell-zj3uv then, the abdomen wouldn't be brown on the ventral side and black on the dorsal side like many of the naturals.
I like the you think 🤔 💭
All it takes is imagination my friend 😮😮😮❤️🫡🫡🫡
