I gotta say, your creativity gives me inspiration to - tie to fish - and tie for eye candy. Super gluing the tiny beads to the shank is a great time saver and looks very realistic coated with UV resin. Beautiful work as always. ❤
@ I’ve been away from the bench for a while, but I’ll try something from one of your videos. Allow me a little time and I’ll have a fly worthy of showing off, and maybe fish it too.
my father just passed an very old vintage fly tying set to me. I most likely wont use it but its so cool to see all the things inside that are used. I think if i remember correctly its from the mid 60's.
@@shetiesflies HOnestly im not sure. I dont really have the room at the moment and i have cats LOL im afraid they might eat the feathers. Its a really cool hobby though, it seems so relaxing. For now though, its sadly going to sit in my dresser drawer where i keep the things i dont want in the sun lol

I just discovered your channel a few days ago and WOW! This is content I didn't know I needed in my life. This fly is just incredible - your work is art!
I also use thinning scissors on my flies sometimes when I want to cut a taper and not have my tail, hackle, ep fibers, flash, what ever not so thick at the tail. Works very slick!!!!!
I love your videos! They are so calming and relaxing and help empty my mind to fall asleep. Would you mind showing the materials at the beginning a tad slower? Maybe it's just me but it feels a little too fast to be able to fully read the words and look at the items. Just a suggestion. Other than that, please don't change a thing! Anyways, thanks for the great content!
@@shetiesflies perhaps you might want to post your videos to the ' north american fly fishing board ; i am very sure,, the folks on the board, will enjoy them
I wondered the same! Added a bit more than I thought necessary and thought some ravaging from a good eat could make them look even more organic. Eventually, though, I'm sure the mallard will fail, but there's still the bucktail and flash - I'm thinking it'll still fish :)
I’ve been a fiber artist for over a decade and fishing my entire life, but I got into fly tying when my boyfriend and I started dating and I found his vise and small stash of materials in a drawer 💙 Never looked back!
it's almost a shame to watch these to fall asleep, cause all i want is to be awake to watch the progression and the finished product
I think this is my favorite of all your ties so far! It's just so beautiful and natural looking! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I think it might be my favorite, too!!!

Nothing makes me happier than hearing our videos sent someone to the vise to get creative. Would love to see what you tie up!

Absolutely!! Let me know how it goes! Would love to see them ☺️
Snook! Now that I miss about being down there. never took on on a fly rod though. Nice.
Definite bonefish catcher, very nice job
Thank you!!! Hope to try it on some bonefish one of these days!
Swimming the flies is a great addition for me. I hadn't seen you do that B4
Thanks!! It’s new - they really come alive in the water!

Inredible! When you started this fly, I wondered where you were going! Nicely done!
It’s especially fun when the fly starts upside down!
Absolutely incredible, and I love the demo video at the end. Makes me want to try fly tying!
Thank you and please do give it a try!! Let me know how it goes!
The most unique fly creation I’ve seen. Not much tying but very cool. Great job!
Thank you!!! You’re right - for a tied fly, there wasn’t much thing involved, but so much fun to build ☺️
Beautiful work! Awsome fly tye!
Thank you so much!
Just too cool
Thanks so much!

Fabulous, what an imagination. An artist vertuoso.
You are too kind - thank you so much!! ☺️
I didn't knew that fishes needed this much artistic skills to be fooled. (coming from someone who never fished ... ever)
☺️ They typically don’t - I just enjoy making them with this level of detail!

Great fly want a steady hand for all that glue known my luck I'd have everything stuck together .
I've been known to drip some on my vise from time to time!

this is probably the most impressive fly i have ever seen tied. how long did this fly take to develop?
Thank you so much!! This was a freestyle pattern, so I hadn’t tied one before this session ☺️

Fly tying has left the chat.

Is she meant to be berried? So nice!
Yes!!! Glad you like her!
Skrimp 👍

If I was a fish, I would eat this.
High praise!! ☺️
same
Do you think the mallard will stand up to the abuse of things like redfish, snook, and small tarpon very well? Been curious, thanks!
