Sikongo District has excess school desks

Sikongo District has excess desks following the procurement of about 10,000 desks from the increased Constituency Development Fund -CDF.
And Sikongo Member of Parliament MAYUNGO SIMUSHI says the policy of no child sitting on the floor is being realised following the distribution of desks to various schools.
Mr. SIMUSHI who visited Sikongo Day Secondary School disclosed that a further 1 by 3 Classroom block has been built to increase school space for school going children.
He also disclosed that three teachers' houses have been built at the school to address accommodation challenges.
