Fear and Hunger, as the game itself is called, serve as the catalysts spurring humanity to innovate and persevere in the face of adversity. Nice video. It would be great if you made a comment [cc] for certen steps. The guards did not attack you at all. Was it because of the cloth you stole from the black mages? Why did you revive the ghouls and saw the arms off? Was it just to get more food? I bought this game a week ago and many mechanics are still hidden from me
I haven't watched the whole video, but Guards will never do anything to you if you go Left arm -> Guard -> Tail -> Torso -> Guard -> Torso -> Torso Tail won't attack until third turn. Every 2nd turn they'll try and grab you so you guard to block that. And as long as they have right arm they'll never tackle you.
If he just avoided them it's good movement. If you at a diagonal space from an enemy one tile away, and you move into the tile they're not moving into then you can slip past them. 100% guaranteed, even in the sequel. Pretty much necessary tech to learn for hard/Maso mode.
@@proybankins709 there's a 10% chance every playthrough you start that all of the cave dwellers will be massacred and there will be 2 moonless guards patrolling the area
Lmao got the ending D on first try after ending E because I thought I was doing nivians ending in bringing the girl only to go into the void further on as cahara ending E because I didn't know u could enter the mouth first time playing which was hilarious cause I wanted ending S as cahara but was playing on terror instead of hard-core 😂😂
Is it possible to defeat all new gods, all unique enemies, don't save Le'garde, have the Girl and Moonless + another NPC in your party and then just leave the Dungeon instead of sitting on the throne?
I think so, there are a few endings in which you leave the dungeon. If Le'garde is dead you can just interact with his corpse and leave. You can't really do a run where you beat each and every unique enemy though - some final bosses and specific enemies are exclusive to their endings.
ending E is straight up just saying peace and leaving. There is also the mercenaries ending where you do the same and leave, but i don't think you can have the girl in your party (maybe?). Regardless she's kinda fated to die unfortunately. EDIT: Apparently ending E actually gets you stuck in the dungeon as you go insane and die. Instead ending C-ii where le'garde ascends is when you can leave the dungeon.
*protects a totally useless kid the whole game just to get betrayed at the end* Do you understand why you can simply just throw the girl into that ball of humans now?
unfortunately she's fated to die that way. She actually dies for you instead in a coinflip attack where you would die instead, and a few other instances attempts to help you. In this case she's literally slated to die and transform into the god fear and hunger which inevitably is the "best" ending (since it's like dark souls age of fire, but the true (actual, no le'garde) god of fear and hunger being born disrupts that cycle and allows humanity to continue)
She doesnt really betray you, not willingly or consciously atleast. She just puts an end to your suffering as the process of helping her and finally "ascending" her has taken too much out of you. She even speaks to you softly and gives you a peaceful death rather than butchering you like any of the other potential deaths in the dungeon. Most of that is even just a result of her wild multi-stage transformation into something just as, if not more powerful than, an old god. in her new form with its expansive perceptions, incredible power and incomprehensible thought process, she must have seen it as a kindness. You in turn, were the only source of kindness she had ever known after being born into torture. You help temper her life of suffering and in turn it enables her to become a god who, while representing and embodying the human sensations of fear and hunger, uses it to drive humanity to overcome suffering and cruelty so it can forge ahead, taking it to new heights. She never abandons humanity like the old gods did, because unlike them she understands humanity and they understand her. To the point that it renders the new gods like her mother, who thought of her as a sacrifice, redundant, and even overshadows her father, who entirely discarded her, when he becomes a new god with the intention to surpass all past new gods, making anything he ever does or gains irrelevant. He may have been her father, but he was never her daddy. In a way it presents a twisted version of parenthood, in the only way that their world of Fear and Hunger can offer it anyway, where you spent your life raising a person until you were too feeble to continue, and they make you comfortable when you die, then go on to live their life as something beyond you and do great things thanks to the lessons you gave them and how you raised them. It may have not been the path the parent wanted and involve a lot of pain but its theirs. The mercenary is the only one who was forgotten by history but the God of Fear and Hunger remembers them and is their true legacy.
Ending C-II When you accept Legarde as the Yellow king he teleports you and your party outside the dungeon, Later on you hear of a great warlord and find out Legarde has begun his conquest to unite the lands of men If you have the little girl in your party she also gets teleported out, Although she never becomes the god of fear and hunger (and therefore never brings about the events of Termina) also any party members aren't really mentioned BUT you can see the girl in the end party alongside anyone else you brought with you Although Canonically both these endings occured Ending E is basically you and your group go crazy as they never really left the dungeon, sucky ending sadly... Ending D u never left And yeah none of the other endings really have the little girl escape with you... (she cannot be in anyone's ending S as u cant get normal party members in hardest difficulty, and Ending A turns her to god, Ending B leaves her locked in a cage or dead)

(when instea a Griffith copy just reborn in a god may save-teleport in a istant the party and you can exit whenever you want after a certain point from the ruin) BULLSHIT! your choosen character (or canonically Cahara) is pratical the first human being to show empathy and calor in her life and the first thing she/ it do becoming a creepy invincible god is attacking you, beating you until lost sense, for then let you awakening with... your legs amputee. Ofc during the dialogue she isnt sorry at all, not explain the reason just make a monologue, while you creeping and bleeding to death in pain without your legs, it's just a monologue pratically making fun of you, of your empotency and your stubborness trying to react, concluding just telling at the end, the best you can do is becoming a ROTTING SHIT for the garden.. WHY I cannot explain why this ending, seem so forced, I understand she/ it become sort of the avatar of fear and hunger because that's mainly she feeled staying in the dungeon.. BUT SHE DIDNT FORGET ABOUT YOU AND SHE'S HESITANT HURTING YOU... ok as new old god of F&H her work it shall be testing and improving humanity in her twisted way of an elderich, but why you kill the very people resisted and protected you while they were killing and resisting to attacks of abominations or almost invincible gods in the most oddity and disgusting hole of their country... she could have one everything from teleporting them or let them go away with their legs.. IT'S JUST SO OUT OF PLOT, just CRUEL..
I think you missed the point, it is mercy killing. After that fight there is no possible way that you live normally. Think like this, literally a god born in front of your eyes. Escaping dungeon is pretty hard due to it's supernatural powers and traumas, now how the hell our main character survive from this? Even we should consider how our main character lived that long... If we think this in real life, it would probaly be impossible for staying sane. After all our characters can't keep their sanity after Le'garde teleports us to the outside world... Only way is ascending something higher, becaming better like Enki or Ragnvaldr ending. But of course this isn't the case in ending A. Probaly girl didn't understand she attacked us in fight, because of her suffering. If you noticed, fight ends when transformation completed, when she understands our suffering. So, I don't think it is cruel. Even we can argue that mercy killing is outcome of our nice behaviours. Probaly she saw glimmer of hope and good behaviour only from us. Without this, I don't think god "fear and hunger" will either like humanity or has a mercy. So we also effect drastically what will haplen too Also I found last conversation comforting, knstead of something like instakill. Probaly our perspectives are very different :D
I don't think Le'garde is exaxt copy of Griffith. They got tons of parallels but in second game we see he abondoned his prophecy dreams and I don't think Griffith will abondon his dream at all :D Also as I mentioned even Le'garde ending our characters nearly go insane even after decades past from exiting dungeon with help of him. For staying sane we need whole different conditions, not like ending A.

for practical reference, you can end the game in 24 seconds with an empty scroll (No literally, it's the any% category for ending (E)scape.

Nice video. It would be great if you made a comment [cc] for certen steps.
The guards did not attack you at all. Was it because of the cloth you stole from the black mages?
Why did you revive the ghouls and saw the arms off? Was it just to get more food?
I bought this game a week ago and many mechanics are still hidden from me
At around 48:23 there's a secret room where you need to place four severed arms to open a door. That door holds a pretty powerful weapon
I haven't watched the whole video, but
Guards will never do anything to you if you go
Left arm -> Guard -> Tail -> Torso -> Guard -> Torso -> Torso
Tail won't attack until third turn.

Why were there moonless guards outside of the god of the depths

wait, isn't you just fight enki marriage, and now enki is also here? what kind of time travel magic is 1:33:00
Is it possible to defeat all new gods, all unique enemies, don't save Le'garde, have the Girl and Moonless + another NPC in your party and then just leave the Dungeon instead of sitting on the throne?
Have you tried taming moonless? jsut give her spoiled meat and she becomes a pretty useful party member. She loves that stuff

28:12 how did you relight the torch without using a torch?
*protects a totally useless kid the whole game just to get betrayed at the end*
Do you understand why you can simply just throw the girl into that ball of humans now?
My sentiment exactly!
This might be irony flying right over my head but I... I don't think she did it on purpose.
If you have scrolls of the black art/pyromancy trick then she can become really useful
unfortunately she's fated to die that way.
A realistic ending 😮
I bet it was so tempting to throw out the "no empty scrolls" part of the title fr.
Is there ever an ending where you escape with everyone and the girl?
Ending E is leaving the dungeon after finding Le'garde dead in the dungeon
@@cugeltheclever2957 you can leave with legarde still alive as well but he will refuse to leave
Ending C-II
When you accept Legarde as the Yellow king he teleports you and your party outside the dungeon, Later on you hear of a great warlord and find out Legarde has begun his conquest to unite the lands of men
If you have the little girl in your party she also gets teleported out, Although she never becomes the god of fear and hunger (and therefore never brings about the events of Termina) also any party members aren't really mentioned BUT you can see the girl in the end party alongside anyone else you brought with you
Although Canonically both these endings occured
Ending E is basically you and your group go crazy as they never really left the dungeon, sucky ending sadly...
Ending D u never left
And yeah none of the other endings really have the little girl escape with you... (she cannot be in anyone's ending S as u cant get normal party members in hardest difficulty, and Ending A turns her to god, Ending B leaves her locked in a cage or dead)
Any chance of termina? Great stuff man i hope you get more viewvership

STUPID ENDING, made me so pissed off! 😑
No idea why some people are amused by it.. but yes as someboy said at least the mc get an PAINLESS DEATH?, Peace of the Darkness or sleep whatever? The characters were doomed because... delved too deep? (when instea a Griffith copy just reborn in a god may save-teleport in a istant the party and you can exit whenever you want after a certain point from the ruin)
BULLSHIT!
your choosen character (or canonically Cahara) is pratical the first human being to show empathy and calor in her life and the first thing she/ it do becoming a creepy invincible god is attacking you, beating you until lost sense, for then let you awakening with... your legs amputee.
So we also effect drastically what will haplen too
Also I found last conversation comforting, knstead of something like instakill. Probaly our perspectives are very different :D
I don't think Le'garde is exaxt copy of Griffith. They got tons of parallels but in second game we see he abondoned his prophecy dreams and I don't think Griffith will abondon his dream at all :D
Also as I mentioned even Le'garde ending our characters nearly go insane even after decades past from exiting dungeon with help of him. For staying sane we need whole different conditions, not like ending A.
