Lol 😂. Props to you my guy, not only did you use the forbidden word, you made a whole list around it. Love it!
😂 gotta have fun sometimes right!
great list. love that you made a whole video of "smooth". I enjoy a smooth drink. I haven't tried that benchmark yet. but now will have to. I do really enjoy Redwood Empire boureye. another great video. cheers
Totally agree about Blantons. Its my favorite buffalo trace product that I have had. Everytime I see it under $60 I buy it.
Great list, brother. I always pour Blanton's for guests who are new to bourbon. So easy to drink.
The word that nobody in whiskey tube wants to say. I say smooth is a good thing. Based on the following definition, think of as a smooth whiskey as a well rounded whiskey, and certainly there is nothing wrong with that.
The word smooth comes from the Old English word smoð, which is a variant of smeðe. Smeðe means "free from roughness, not harsh, polished; soft; suave; agreeable.
New wood wall? I like it. I also like the raffle for a good cause, I’m going to check that out. Cheers pal
Just subbed after stumbling across your channel. Interesting choices. I would add Basil Hayden over the BM. The OF 100 to me also an easier pour as well. I’ve never see the bottle you had in your lineup. Keep it up!
Good list. I use these "smooth" bottles for my first sip of the night, gets my mouth ready for high proof stuff I'm about to drink lol
Smooth video cheers!
Never had Redwood but you are spot on with the rest. I find most Old Forester products are easy drinking. Benchmark is a great product I think. Especially the Full Proof and Bonded. I could drink Blanton’s all night if someone else is paying the bill.
This falls into the same group as using the word juice which I really don’t understand seeing how every master distiller I’ve seen talk about their products call it juice. Smooth is another word that some get butt hurt over and well if that’s your only issue you’ll be okay. Big fan of all these. Great list. Enjoy!!
Never understood the stigma around the word smooth for people that have accustomed palates. When whiskey isn’t smooth, you feel it!
I would have to add eagle rare and wyoming whiskey to my list
You can’t really do a list of smooth whiskies without mentioning Blanton’s. Where Benchmark is concerned, I really enjoy the Top Floor. Lighter proof (86), still has great flavor. Great video
Great list! Lost Monarch is easy and sweet! Makers Mark BEP, Eagle Rare are my top three.
And Old Elk double wheat!
What is the big deal about “smooth”? I think it’s a wonderful adjective! And love your lineup… and I totally agree with you about Blanton’s. You know that’s one of my all time favorites I don’t care what anyone says! Just so hard to find. I would add Eagle Rare to the list and probably Bakers 7.
Oh and I love your new wall! 🥃
People just don’t like the word for some reason it’s a good descriptive word to use for sure! Cheers Sandra!
Good timing. I had a buddy who always drinks Johnny black and he asked for a good bourbon so I recommended Penelope toasted and he bought Penelope barrel proof by mistake and hated it and said it wasn't "smooth" lol no shit it's not 80 proof like the Johnny you've been sipping
😂 yea big difference in proof for sure lol!
I am ok using the term smooth but can everyone please stop using "tasty" as a tasting note?
Something about 1792 just has like weird taste I don’t like on the finish
It’s not a bourbon if it’s a RuY
