I tried that gel before and it is an absolute joke. I am baffled by the number of people who give it great reviews, although Amazon is mostly run by fake reviews nowadays. I use the New Car Smell, but I dilute it with distilled water and put it in a tiny spray bottle. Just a couple of spritzes is more than enough to do the job. I wouldn't be able to stand it full strength.
Agreed on both points. The gel didn't work for me at all. Maaaaaaybe a light dust or something. And the new car smell, it's pretty intense. Didn't think about diluting it.
Great info again. You should have far more viewers than you do. Keep it up, we appreciate you.
Thank you! Hopefully one day!
Another great video for the simple DIY'er. I boought the Works vac on sale for $14. I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. It does a pretty good job for a quick clean up and can't go wrong at that price. I've had good success with Chemical Guys New Car scent. It took a minute to get used to the scent but it seems to last pretty well.
these are the videos I like
I would like to see your top 10s more
Thanks! This was a test to see how you guys like stuff like this! Definitely getting a lot of positive feedback!
Your long term tests are great but it's good to see you applying your no BS thoughts in this type of video too, nice one, many thanks
You're welcome! Trying to add a little variety to the channel. Trying to have an upload every other day this month for you guys!
Love the variety here, thanks for all the hard work!
Much appreciated!
Hey Scott, have you ever tried using a paint brush and a spray bottle for cleaning vents.? You don't spray into the vent. You just spray a little water on the paint brush and then with the air conditioner or whatever running so there's air coming out of the vent. Just brush the vent with the very slightly damp brush and do that a couple of times. Then get the brush damp again and clean and dry it as much as you can and brush it one final time. Fresh event. That is one final time. I've found that that gets them done really quickly and because the air is running you don't have to worry about dirt and dust getting down into the vent and blowing back out later.
I have and that's usually a great tool as long as it isn't sticky like a cola that was in them it has worked well. Ones that are really bad I try to remove if it is easy to do so.
Scotty. You need some new shoes man. You deserve it.
Haha. Thank you!
Good review on these products! Agree with the gel it's just junk!
When you have been detailing for several years using the best equipment on the market, it's hard to get impressed by cheap stuff designed for people who don't know better. For the vacuum, armor all makes a vacuum cleaner for cars that will very likelly be in the same price range and be better quality. For the window tool, I have been using the one from Stoner's (Invisible glass) and it works well. I would not be happy doing windshields or back windows without it, that is for sure!
I actually got the armor all one for a wedding gift 16 years ago! It's not bad at all. It's still kicking! I use it for clean up for my mini mill for notching axles, face mill etc. (metal shavings cleanup).
Bought the windshield inside cleaner from you links for my R8 Gen2. Thanks
Thanks!
i have a similar vacuum since many years, and it does the job. But i have to power the engine on because it drains the battery very fast.
I guess that depends on the vehicle/battery. On this little Nissan Cube it did ok at not draining the battery. I used it for 10-15 minutes
Pulidiki
Can you please do a video with car waxes and test if it matters on how long you leave wax to dry on a car with its effectiveness or longevity? For example if directions say buff when it hazes, but say you leave it overnight in the garage to absorb into the paint, will it perform better?
By chance are you selling the labels you use for your bottles? Really appreciate the clean and minimalistic look you have on them.
Thank you. We have them made specifically for our shop, but this is who designed and made them for us: facebook.com/6speeddesign?mibextid=ZbWKwL
So when you rubbed your Pulidiki it didn't work??
Hahahaha. I was waiting for this comment 🤣
You use malco renew, do you find chemical guys generally ok or another youtuber selling product? The VRP specifically
Scott, Suggestion, Promote products made in the USA, not communist Countries?
I can definitely do that! Great idea!
I second that
