I take the scrubber off and use it by hand, easier to get to tight spots. I use the turtle wax carpet and uph cleaner too, have for years and been happy with it.

Heres my carpet and interior fabric hack , LA's totally awesome . If you pour it full strength on a stain like the floor matt here, itll disappear as you saturate with it . Same with filthy fabrics. I use water and a shop vac after to extract the dirt .
The chemical guys cleaner works alot better when you use it with the right products. A paper towel isn't exactly the best side thing id use. Maybe more of a microfiber towel. But a Magic eraser works great on plastic and leather style car pieces like that. Especially good for steering wheels lol.
That chemical guys interior cleaner is really good imo. For a car that dirty, I would use super clean. Also, as a car detailer, there's a few reasons why we don't use paper towels. Love you videos though, man. I always look forward to Saturdays because of your videos.
I was looking for a comment saying something about paper towels. 👍🏼 You can’t really clean a textured surface with paper towels. At least use a cloth if you don’t have a brush
Tyler, if you want something that will clean almost anything you need cleaned, use carquest/advance auto brake clean. Its Wearever w7341. Use it sparingly, it will remove finish if youre not careful but would also work better than anything you could buy for that interior. Im an auto technician and i go through a case a week, it works that good!
Former Autozoner and lifelong car guy. Use a microfiber cloth and boar brush for getting into interior crevices and plastic grooves. Also, the Turtle Wax PowerOut works best when you spray and agitate it, as shown, but vacuum the excess
And holy sheeeeit, I finished the video. Son, I am disappoint. What have you done to this car? I had a Corolla back in the day, just about the same model - how are the headrests that color, lol? A few tips: 1, You need a real vacuum to get all the crap out. 12V is for day to day cleaning, not 8 years. The floor mats seem to have melded into the base carpet. 2, Steam Cleaner and Brushes along with all purpose car cleaners. Paper towels perhaps for sopping up the copious amounts of mess created while cleaning, but that is not ideal in day to day use nor pretty much ever in car cleaning. Get some Micro Fiber towels. 3, You need a legit shampoo and extractor for the fabrics. This car is in bad shape overall for cleanliness. Four: What in the ever living f, bro? If this is your car, you are one dirty mf.
Have you tried one of those portable furniture cleaners for pets spots. They are like small power wash things. the models I see have two Chambers, one for the cleaning liquid and one for vacuuming it up. That might do amazing on your car seats
So with the cleaner from The Chemical Guys, I think the mistake you made is the direction you were wiping. You can see the grain of the material on the console and the parking brake lever, and you were wiping against the grain, which missed all of the deeper parts of the grain, if that makes any sense. All of the spots where there was still dirt was because it was lower than the parts you were able to clean.
Here's a tip and how to see better out comes, you wanna use a microfiber towel when it comes to wiping down with interior cleaner, and when it comes to "vacuuming" you wanna use a shot back. Then you wanna use a steam cleaner for like the floors. Just a few tips if you ever actually wanna clean it up
With the air refresher if you change out the cabin filter (if you have one) and follow the directions lol, it does actually work. Ive even used one for the strong smell of vomit before and you couldnt even tell after.
The fact that he’s confused about why a cleaning product and a simple paper towel isn’t cleaning 7 years of grime is adorable. You need a toothbrush to assist in scrubbing THAT much grime away buddy😂
Id love for you to try a magic eraser on this aswell, especially on that part by the side of the chair that wouldn’t budge. I think it would be interesting. There’s also a product called ‘the pink stuff’ and I wonder how well that would do. I had a print stain on a brand new side table and I tried so many things to get it off, and my mum gave me her pink stuff to try (it’s like a paste) and it took it off in seconds- I was gobsmacked!!
As a mechanic my self, I love seeing all the tools these companies make for cheep to try to compete with the higher level companies. I do mainly diesels and heavier equipment so the cheeper tools really stand out😂
For the foam upholstery cleaner a good brush would probably help and for the floor mats I'd start with pressure washing them you can hang them at the car wash as clean them but you probably want to put them in the truck or something and take them out and let them dry at home then use a good cleaner on what's left
Tyler is like the side character in a lot of japanese mangas. At first glance he seems a little annoying and idiotic but you come to realize that he's actually a genius with a solution for everything
for all the little cracks and texture you need detailing brushes, when you wipe the plastic or vinyl you are just essentially hitting the surface not down where the dirt and grease has settled.
I use chemical guys prodicts exclusively on both of my vehicles. The product you used is not for extreme dirt and grime, for that you need to use the citrus interior cleaner that breaks down heavy grease and grime and agitate the grime with a interior brush. I'm honestly extremely surprised with how well the regular interior detailer and protectant worked on this heavy of a job haha keep up the good work man, love your videos
@tylertube use that Chemical Guys all purpose cleaner with a Magic Eraser and a microfiber towel. It'll look like a brand new interior. Finish it off with 303 Aerospace and a microfiber applicator
As a professional detailer, the chemical guys interior cleaner you used is more for a maintenance type of cleaning. It is not an aggressive cleaner by any means.

He was or is a diesel mechanic so all of that black stuff is grease
@@animeloveer97 my husband had grease all over the place.
With the air refresher if you change out the cabin filter (if you have one) and follow the directions lol, it does actually work. Ive even used one for the strong smell of vomit before and you couldnt even tell after.
Legend has it Tyler is still vacuuming his car 🤣
If you use a detail brush and microfiber cloth for the interior cleaner you would get a better outcome
‘Let’s use paper towels for something they actually weren’t meant for’ 😂
For 7 years of not cleaning, that car looks WAY better than my work vehicle after only 4 months.
The issues is that those are abrasives
@@animeloveer97 would it damage the car?
As a mechanic my self, I love seeing all the tools these companies make for cheep to try to compete with the higher level companies. I do mainly diesels and heavier equipment so the cheeper tools really stand out😂
As a car detailer this would be a fun car to do a full detail clean with.
Tyler, your awesome! Thank you for all your hard work. Videos are really entertaining!! Keep up the good work!
Is that a mechanic car. So much grease every where 🛢
Should of used a magic eraser with the chemical guys or others. Magic eraser helps
Now I need to see a video of you completely cleaning and detailing this car inside and out .
These products are actually impressive i didn't expect any of them to be that good but they all did a decent job
21:30 I should call her
Imagine as a mechanic if you actually washed your arms and hands before you left work
From the guys I know the faster they can get home the better they are worn out at the end of the day
@tylertube use that Chemical Guys all purpose cleaner with a Magic Eraser and a microfiber towel. It'll look like a brand new interior. Finish it off with 303 Aerospace and a microfiber applicator
The Detail Geek needs to clean your car Tyler. 👍
As a professional detailer, the chemical guys interior cleaner you used is more for a maintenance type of cleaning. It is not an aggressive cleaner by any means.
Also you need to remember that window cleaners typically consist of isopropyl alcohol so it will clean deeper.
That little vacuum works way better than the old dust busters did. That worked better than the mini shop vac I bought.
What i love about ur videos the most is, is ur weight loss iv been watching you for a long time now and i was binge watching some of ur older vids and can really notice it. Keep up the good work tyler
