I don’t understand your issue with sponsored videos? The work you do to put out these videos takes a lot of time and effort, you are providing a great value to the detailing community. You deserve financial compensation for all your hard work. A sponsored video doesn’t have to be someone selling out, are there sell outs that will take money to say some they don’t believe?? Sure, there are, there will always be…. Look at any commercial with a celebrity endorsing some skin care product or a pill that will grow your hair back.
Point is that there are plenty of people out there that will only work with companies and products they believe in so they don’t have to worry about crossing the line or saying something they don’t really mean.
Being a “RUclipsr” delivering entertainment and information is a profession. It should not be looked down on to work with companies to bring this information to the market. It’s called MARKETING.
You should also get you facts straight before you vomit out of the mouth again.

Well I'm sorry I don't believe it's entertaining or informative to hold up a bottle of Wax , wipe a bit on a panel, you think it's hard work and marketing is important. And your are deluded. Unless all of its attributes are compared to competitive products then it's a waste of time, lying to the viewer, and scummy advertising. What an utterly unprofessional response.

Thank you Scotty once again. I bought so many products due to the RUclipsrs pushing it and saying it lasted 6 months or more and two weeks later the product was dead. After finding your channel the problem was solved. I wish you could take the money. With this economy I wish you can keep it and give an honest opinion. Problem is as a reviewer myself their are so many variables that can make a product work for one person better then it does another ? All we can do as reviewers and testers is show a product how we found it to work and show our results, it's not to say it's going to work for someone els In the same way , due to so many variables

I keep coming back to this channel for its reliability and honesty. I'm also a person that enjoys sharing the customer perspective without doing favors to distributors.
I unsubbed from the "advertiser" youtube detailing channels after finding your channel. Now that I have been leaning hard into detailing (just my own 5 cars and some for family) for a few years now, it is easier to see how fake they are.
Men of high integrity who can't be bought are a scarce resource these days, I applaud you Sir. I always say your reputation is both the cheapest and most expensive thing at the same time, you can give it away for next to nothing but all the money in the world can't buy it back.
We've all watched some of his videos we now realise they are his early videos before he was paid to make them, and now he's taking his viewers as fools

Thanks for keeping it real Scott. I've watched maybe a dozen different detailing channels over the years and de-subscribed from all but two. Yours and another that seems to push Wolfgang products but yours is the one I come to when I want realistic and reliable tests and results. Very much appreciate your efforts

I am not a Pro and I'm not one to throw around detail product money on under-performing products.... so what you do is a huge help for me. I've yet to have a product fail that performed well on your test hoods and we couldn't live in two more different environments. THANKS!
When I need an honest review of a product I'm thinking about trying, I immediately check your channel first to get the unbiased, factual scoop on the product.
It's nice knowing there's someone I can count on for honest, factual info about the products I'm considering using on my customers' vehicles.

The reason your channel is great is that you give unbiased information about different products. It is great to see which products last and comparing it to the price of them.
I really appreciate your ethics. As most of the review industry is corrupt, even if a company isnt directly giving money, they will send gifts (ive seen reviewers get multi-thousands dollar anniversary gifts from companies), they will offer help/support, offer early access to products, fly you down to events and wine and dine you, etc, and its a slippery slope of bribes for reviews or positive marks. Companies know they can target small channels like yours, because the financial situation is hard. $5k to them is nothing, but to a smaller review it could be a months income. And even if its your best intention to stay honest, money and gifts do influence people, reviewers really should refuse any special treatment/gift/money they are offered in order to prevent being swayed.

Well I think you are amazing and your integrity is first class. Because you are delivering a brilliant service to the public I do feel that you deserve some renumeration though. How this could be done whilst remaining impartial I don't know. Best wishes and thanks for all your hard work which we all benefit from.
As impartial as I possibly can be - it is literally installing a product and washing it once a month and showing you how it holds up. I suppose me making a "call" of what's failed and what isn't is where that would come into play. Regardless, this is why I test products more than once so I have consistent data points. If you've seen any of my spreadsheets in the video description of these tests, it definitely backs this up that I'm getting consistent results. I disclose what we install in our shop, and it definitely is not the longest lasting product out there. It has us looking at those products more because of said testing!

I stumbled across your channel back in 2020, and kept coming back because you were doing the most scientific and unbiased detailing product comparisons that I could find. The algorithm kept feeding me all these other car care channels because they thought I was interested, but honestly, I don't subscribe to any other detailing related channels because I could care less about biased one sided review videos (that are actually commercials) from people with vested interest in their product's success. I love that you take the bias out of it and put the b.s to the test, head to head.. Keep up the great work!

Great video. I bought armor shield ix after seeing pan the organizer 1 year durability video. the product was doing so well in the video! When I tried the product, it was not even close to what I saw in the video to pan the organizer. Luckily i got a refund from avalon king.

I reckon you need to try out the big Aussie brand Bowden’s Own “Bead Machine” sealant. It does pretty well against the big brands, especially in the sun.

Love what you do, so please keep doing it. As for the influencers I don't watch them or pay any attention. I would really like to see you do more reviews for the detailing range, soaps, dressings etc etc....
I wish I could look back and see when I subscribed to your channel. I know myself I believe I've been subscribed for at least 2 years. I don't think you even had 4,000 subscribers at that time. But I have used hundreds of your videos and shared them to multiple people frequently. Because I appreciate what you do, you've helped me make informed choices with coatings on my vehicles. Especially the IGL Kenzo before they discontinued the original. Even got an account set up and purchased from them. But as a lot of your videos are noted. Cquartz UK 3.0 and the budget nanobond are always go tos for me. Thanks again for all you do. Still subscribed and still watch all of your videos. Even if they are lengthy and something that doesn't interest me (rotory polisher tests something I myself will never use.) because I know the watch time helps you

You're the man! You've been running this channel perfectly. Crazy how your channel hasn't exploded already.
I think you could take on non-related sponsors to make money. Like Manscaped or Old Spice or some crap like that. You can still explain that you strictly purchase all products and don't receive anything from any of the brands. Just keep doin' what you're doin. Obviously we do like minimal bloat and less advertisements in our videos, but I also wouldn't mind seeing this channel grow so we can see bigger projects.
I don't think you need to put any companies on blast if they're trying to "sponsor" your channel, unless they start to harass you. You could even tell them, "I appreciate the offer but if you continue to contact me, I will show my audience all of your correspondence with me." As long as you don't speak bad about them, then they can't sue you for defamation. Just like how you talk about the brands in your channel....factual. That's a good thing about your channel, you're always saying, "So what do you think, guys?" You don't offer an opinion really; the product fails or it doesn't; speaks for itself.

Much respect to you Scott. I had a run in with Pan the Advertiser on Instagram for a product he was promoting which I bought (before I knew better, meaning before discovering your channel) and which produced terrible results on my personal car. I wrote to Pan in a private message to which he did not respond, I contacted the manufacturer and I received a nonsensical response. Months later, Pan was at it again shilling for the same company on Instagram. I didn’t want other people to go through the same thing so I posted a message basically stating buyer beware, nothing offensive or laced with profanity and I what I received in terms of a response from Pan was surprisingly uncivilized and defensive.
Pan is a shill, but you have ‘Tegrity. Hes the kind of person that would try and sell someone fortador. (p.s. for a great laugh try and do a deep dive on their company/brand/YT videos)
Sadly the internet algorithms rewards dishonest promoters like him at the expense of people trying to learn to clean cars better.
Truly your testing and spreadsheet is a beacon of hope for internet content. The way that you share your spreadsheet openly, freely, and transparently is unmatched in the car care and detailing world. Channels like yours and torque test channel are the gold standards in their fields and a tier above even project farm IMO.
I admire your tegrity and your safety testing for things like vibration (nerve damage prevention) and the SDS review.

Thank you for this honesty you are a really good and true guy !!. That's why I prefer to turn to your results rather than others, because some RUclipsr, their results are not honest and not true but faked for the money. At times I laugh to myself watching their videos where the product is not great and where they say "wow super hydrophobic wow super shiny ......." when we can clearly see that the product is not nothing exceptional nothing when looking at the hydrophobicity, or when they really can't hide that the product isn't great they find great excuses for the product, while some other products have gone down below ground because the brand does not pay in my opinion!. Brian from apex looks like you to me, hope I'm not mistaken?!. In any case, I won't be fooled again! As for the turtle wax spray coating and 3 in 1 detailer where listening to these RUclipsrs it was a monster product, and I was more disappointed than anything else, all that to reuse the good products that I was using, and it's 2 the rest in a corner in my closet!

Thank you for taking the time to do these extensive reviews and personally you should do some paid reviews or in any case something unrelated to detailing, U deserve to get paid and anyone that complains or use it against you are just here to take and take what valuable info you bring on your channel and your very transparent...Im saying this because ive been around i guess and ive learned that you can't please everyone regardless even if u gave everything for free at the end of the day its not enough for these "entitled"people (which are toxic and the least people you want to engage in ) So far the community here is pretty good and the vibe is chill. Also if may suggest if you can do a podcast ones or every other month or what ever fits your schedule so we can all meet and get to know ur subscribers even if its just online. I was one of those duped by the hype and fanfare surrounding certain brands and products being pushed by the RUclips personalities that you previously exposed- I am looking at you Pan and Turtle Wax- and wasted my hard earned money for naught as a result.
But hey, at least Pan was able to buy that brand new Porsche of his and Turtle Wax was able to enjoy a brief reprieve from the bottom-of-the-trash-bin status commonly assigned to the brand prior to the hype blitz it bought and paid for via social media 🙄

When I first watched this video, I knew some feelings would get hurt. What I didn't expect was content providers that weren't even mentioned to feel the need to have response videos. They might feel threatened by you pulling the curtain back a bit? I don't know. But what they cannot argue with is your test methods. To me...that's the most important part here. I know I'm not watching other channels... I got lucky and your channel was the first to be recommended to me by the algorithm (about 2 years ago), and after I've seen it, I knew I don't need to watch anything else detailing related. I do cheat and watch project farm when he does something similar (his headlight restoration video is pure gold), but that's it... I swear 😜
