I think that most people that watch your videos have changed out the orifice to the 1.1 and swapped out the factory hose to a Uberflex. Nowhere have I seen any information on the actual form making part of the foam gun - the mesh inside the gun. Seen a couple of sellers on amazon but thats it. Are they all the same in all guns? Maybe a short video on the maintenance of a foam gun - remove unused container foam - rinse inside of gun - storing unused foam? Always love your videos.
It seems like you’re mostly concerned with foaming action, but curious about other properties like actual cleaning performance (correlated to foaming but may not always be most foam = most clean) , slickness/lubrication for mit wash, how well it handles direct sun, scent, conditioners (shine/polish), etc.

I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

Jeremy over at the Hawaii Tesla Detailing channel did a very thorough foam cannon battle with about 15 to 20 different foam cannon soaps going head to head and had the same final result. Adams Mega Foam won every single battle he had and was the final winner by far. Adams Mega Foam is currently the king of the foam cannon soaps.

That stuff has some really good cleaning ability, even more so than Reset in my opinion but I haven't used Reset in quite a few years now so CarPro has probably updated their formula a few times since I last used that one.

A simple test is to add water to your foam canon container and spray your car like you would if it had soap in it. When you figure out how many ounces it takes to get around the car, add the two ounces of soap to that amount of water and spray again. That should give you the most foam with zero waste at the end. Oh, and use warm or hot water in the container.
So many that review these products seem to put the emphasis on how much foam the product produces, shouldn’t it be on how well each product removes mud and dirt?
Definitely will have to try Adam’s Mega Foam when the time comes Rn, rocking the Mr. Pink because I got it for $30 a gallon and it felt like a really good deal

I've been trying to find a foam cannon soap that can beat Adam's Mega Foam for years. I did not find any. It's clearly the absolute best and one thing I should mention is the smell is also so insanely good, it's still to this day such a great experience every time I use it. Clear winner for so many reasons.
@@davik7 Reminds me something close to the smell of what Bazooka pink bubble gum and pink Bubblicious blended together use to taste, it's sweet, candy like, but not in a cheap and artificial way, this amazing smell is almost magical, it reminisces me of my childhood every single time I foam a car with this. Given that you're using the proper foam cannon, with the proper orifice and enough pressure, you will also end up with an impossibly thick foam as if you used something like Barbasol shaving cream, which rinses squeeky clean like nothing else when mixed up with their classic blue shampoo on the contact wash. It's one of those things that you have to try at least once in your life!
Great video series! But how about doing a test on which one strips off dirt better without using a pressure washing rinse. Maybe take a dirty panel and foam Cannon the soap on and see which one sheets off the most dirt.

I just bought the Sun Joe 2030psi pressure washer and got the Amazon Foam Cannon with Chemical Guys Honey Dew. I think it’s the honey dew that isn’t the greatest. I changed to a 1.1mm orifice and it did make it slightly thicker but not 100% happy. Assuming it’s the soap
Can we use any of these foams be used in a pressure washer on LOW pressure? My sunjoe pressure washer has containers for soaps. I hate to buy yet another application canister
I also have the sunjoe spx3000 and the foam cannon kicks the snot out of the soap containers and soap nozzle. I was so impressed with the foam cannon that I tossed out the soap containers especially since the lids were wearing out and wouldn’t even stay on. I bought a sunjoe foam cannon for 19.00 at Walmart then put in the smaller orfice and it kicks serious @ss.
Grape and Glow, still no PH info. Does a good job. Thick slippery long-lasting foam. Really pulls of road film. It's really noticeable on a white F150.
Foaming is great but any idea which soap had the best lubrication? Also, you're using the foam as a pre-wash? After you rinse the foam off, how are you washing - are you foaming again and them using a mitt to agitate and a rinse bucket or back to the traditional 2 bucket method?
Hi Josh i didnt see any notation or anything in the description of the video stating you found out if the technicians choice soap was pH nuetral. I happy to report that according to the material safety data sheet this is pH neutral. 7.5 pH with a +- of 0.5.

Same thing for a spray and shine formula for the exterior. Which would u recommend for a ceramic coated car and a non ceramic coated car? I feel like some clients just want their car washed real quick and others want the detail side, so i want to make sure i have the right stuff for both type of clients!! Thanks, and much love bother!!
Any PH Neutral soap will be fine and not damage the coating... However, if you want you can use a ceramic infused soap. It wont harm the coating and it will add al little boost. For the spray and shine i use this amzn.to/388E92L on all cars wether they are ceramic coated or not. It works amazing and adds another layer of hydrophobic properties!

Was wondering if you compared soaps with waxes and soaps without waxes and how that may effect foam levels cleaning ability rinse etc? Unsure if that made the qualifications. If so perhaps a follow up video testing both types against one another from each company! IE grape glow is wash/wax vs megafoam is strictly a detergent. I just think comparing apples to oranges.
There is a company in Puerto Rico named UM Distributors they sell different brands and they also have their brand UM. They have good stuff, you need to try their car wash foam. They also have a product called Flushing. Nice product.
Question: Does it really matter how much foam a soap/cannon combo makes? I mean, as long as it’s sufficient and most importantly, works to clean the car, I can’t imagine ‘the most foam’ is any better than cleaning ability.
Foam doesn't really clean, just moistens the stuck-on-dirt and makes your wash pad glide over the surface picking up the dirt w/o much resistance or marring. If you drive a lot in a city, an APC or degrease pre-wash is better to help clean up chemical gunk, PH neutral soaps do nothing on chemicals.
@@luckypaco1148 This isn't entirely true. snow foam is meant to break down dirt into smaller particles, encapsulate the tiny particles, and evacuate the bonded dirt from the panel using the weight of the water-bonded to particle and the pressure from the stream of water. That being said, to using foam as a form of lubricity for a contact wash is a totally viable method as well. I found a really great video by Adam's with one of their chemists that does a great job of breaking down some of the science. This is 3 years old and I am way late to the party. Excellent video. I do have a question as to the ratio you are using. I see you use 2 oz product but to how much water? I believe the bottle size of the MJJC is 1200 ml. (40 oz). So does that come out basically 1:20 (in ounces). I know, I am over thinking this, so just add 2 oz and fill the bottle to top? Could you possibly try a soap product from the brand Ethos I believe and it's called "Foam Party". It was mentioned in the comments on the first or second video of the foam cannon series. I have used mr. Pink a few times now. Cleans the car well, but leaves soap residue on the windows even rafter rinsing off. The Jury is still out for me.
One thing I noticed that introduced an unmentioned variable: you didn't lay down the same amount of foam on each?! Example: 1 oz Adams you did 11 passes at the end, at least 1 1/2 x as much as any other. If it takes that much to produce the same foam, you didn't save much over using 2 oz. (I realize it's not easy to do a "blind" comparison...)
Pick up some Ph test strips at a drug store, dip one into the soap to see if it is neutral or not - but more important is test your water. If the water is not Ph neutral it doesnt matter if the product is or not You are using much more water than the product. I installed a Culligan water softener then you can use any soap product and get Ph neutral washes and tons more foam.
You can always look up the mds sheet for just about every chemical in the market. It will tell you it’s ph level and more. Some trade secrets won’t be listed in the chemical makeup section
So a series of what soap makes more foam? Not about which perform best, or which adds the most lubrication. A foam that sticks and stacks is not necessarily the best. Carpro Reset ftw hands down. I have mega foam but it's performance is not ideal under the wash mitt. 🤙

Ultra Foam came out before Mega Foam, and is really just an upgrade over their standard car soap. If I'm remembering correctly, according to their site the main difference versus their standard car wash is the scent, producing more foam, and I also believe it has some sort of additive to it and is not a "pure" soap. I bought a gallon when it was first released, and I use it on occasion but I don't think I'll be buying it again in the future. I love the Mega Foam and the standard car wash soap though - they're my go-to simply because they work well and I don't have to worry about using either in direct sunlight (like with all 3 of these soaps, actually). By the way, in case you weren't aware, the Mega Foam is specifically made for foam guns/cannons, and is really not meant to be used in a bucket. The other 2 however can be used in either method.

SDS Technicians Choice TEC472 Grape and Glow shows a PH 7.5 with a side note it could be +/- 0.5. So it tested in a range from 7.0 to 8.0.

There is a company in Puerto Rico named UM Distributors they sell different brands and they also have their brand UM. They have good stuff, you need to try their car wash foam. They also have a product called Flushing. Nice product.
Question: Does it really matter how much foam a soap/cannon combo makes? I mean, as long as it’s sufficient and most importantly, works to clean the car, I can’t imagine ‘the most foam’ is any better than cleaning ability.
Yes, the MEGA FOAM foams amazingly well, but does it actually do much cleaning compared to other pre-wash foaming products?
Foam doesn't really clean, just moistens the stuck-on-dirt and makes your wash pad glide over the surface picking up the dirt w/o much resistance or marring. If you drive a lot in a city, an APC or degrease pre-wash is better to help clean up chemical gunk, PH neutral soaps do nothing on chemicals.
@@luckypaco1148 This isn't entirely true. snow foam is meant to break down dirt into smaller particles, encapsulate the tiny particles, and evacuate the bonded dirt from the panel using the weight of the water-bonded to particle and the pressure from the stream of water. That being said, to using foam as a form of lubricity for a contact wash is a totally viable method as well. I found a really great video by Adam's with one of their chemists that does a great job of breaking down some of the science. This is 3 years old and I am way late to the party. Excellent video. I do have a question as to the ratio you are using. I see you use 2 oz product but to how much water? I believe the bottle size of the MJJC is 1200 ml. (40 oz). So does that come out basically 1:20 (in ounces). I know, I am over thinking this, so just add 2 oz and fill the bottle to top? I use Adam’s Car Shampoo for both my foam cannon & car wash.
This Mega Foam is expensive & only good with the foam cannons
Adam’s car shampoo is probably a diluted version of the mega foam which is a concentrate. Just a guess
Could you possibly try a soap product from the brand Ethos I believe and it's called "Foam Party". It was mentioned in the comments on the first or second video of the foam cannon series. I subscribed during this and am a complete noob to the whole foam cannon washing. I have to pay for my water usage in my town so trying to weigh if I want to go the whole pressure washer route or not. 🍻

Yes it’s very worth it. Soap clings to dirt the more foam in your soap the better it will clean.
Grape and Glow is ph neutral. According to Amazon's Q & A answer from the company.

Why not test dirt and oil removal. I don't care about the foam if it doesn't actually clean.
I have used mr. Pink a few times now. Cleans the car well, but leaves soap residue on the windows even rafter rinsing off. The Jury is still out for me.
One thing I noticed that introduced an unmentioned variable: you didn't lay down the same amount of foam on each?! Example: 1 oz Adams you did 11 passes at the end, at least 1 1/2 x as much as any other. If it takes that much to produce the same foam, you didn't save much over using 2 oz. (I realize it's not easy to do a "blind" comparison...)

Pick up some Ph test strips at a drug store, dip one into the soap to see if it is neutral or not - but more important is test your water. If the water is not Ph neutral it doesnt matter if the product is or not You are using much more water than the product. I installed a Culligan water softener then you can use any soap product and get Ph neutral washes and tons more foam.

Which one lubricated the surface the best and felt the most slick? As to not leave swirl marks when using a microfibre mitt to wipe down.

You can always look up the mds sheet for just about every chemical in the market. It will tell you it’s ph level and more. Some trade secrets won’t be listed in the chemical makeup section

While smaller bottle cost more per wash, it will likely last quite a while for the average guy. A full gallon is like a decade worth :P

So a series of what soap makes more foam? Not about which perform best, or which adds the most lubrication. A foam that sticks and stacks is not necessarily the best. Carpro Reset ftw hands down. I have mega foam but it's performance is not ideal under the wash mitt. 🤙

2 ounces of soap..the rest water..fill up the foam cannon to the fill line.
So is the Ultra Foam Adams offers more or less foam than Mega Foam? All of the adjectives have me confused on the heirarchy lol.
Ultra Foam came out before Mega Foam, and is really just an upgrade over their standard car soap. If I'm remembering correctly, according to their site the main difference versus their standard car wash is the scent, producing more foam, and I also believe it has some sort of additive to it and is not a "pure" soap. I bought a gallon when it was first released, and I use it on occasion but I don't think I'll be buying it again in the future. I love the Mega Foam and the standard car wash soap though - they're my go-to simply because they work well and I don't have to worry about using either in direct sunlight (like with all 3 of these soaps, actually).
By the way, in case you weren't aware, the Mega Foam is specifically made for foam guns/cannons, and is really not meant to be used in a bucket. The other 2 however can be used in either method.
