Pan, I have learned a lot from you videos. I bought this past spring, SIMONIZ Platinum Professional Microfibre PlushEdged Drying Towel, 35 x 25-in from Canadian Tire. I can dry all my small SUV at once. Works well. What is your thoughts on this towel?
Hi Ross, you must have had the ones that actually worked as advertised. I purchased two of the same ones and had an absolutely terrible experience with them. They would’nt absorb water for love nor money. They seemed to spread it around more than dry it up. I use the Liquidator towels now and they are monumentally better. I’m glad you had success with them.
Pan, I have been using the Rag Company's Gauntlet Towel (15"x24") to dry my vehicles and it has worked wonderfully. They have held up for 15 months and going strong.
I have a pretty high pile of drying towels from many manufacturers...And they all work pretty well, but I'd have to say my go-to towel seems to be The Rag Company's "Double Twistress" at 850 GSM, because of it's handy 20"x24" size and ease of use... It's very absorbent, not unwieldy, folds well during use, and is still 1-handable even loaded up. Alcantara/ suede edges, nice thickness, smooth sliding. Just about everything you could ask for. Close second for me is the "Liquid8r" also by The Rag Company, but I find it's 1100 GSM pile just a bit too thick even in the 20"x24" size to 1-hand when it's full, but they do make a 16"x16" which I will likely order a pair of for this coming spring. Honorable mentions to the gorgeous Purple Maxshine 1200GSM Microfiber Drying Towel in 24"x35" which is among my favorite large-format "drag-style" drying towel. I just find these larger towels are more clumsy to use doing doors and lower panels, splitters, diffusers and things near the ground... dragging the tips or edges of your drying towel on the ground are just asking for a scratch, so I definitely agree with your preference for the smaller sizes. Keep up the great work and the amazing content!! I've learned so much from you, and have been entertained at the same time !!
The Double Twistress was in my previous test here: ruclips.net/video/079H_dpxlUo/видео.html And yes that's a great drying towel too. Thanks for sharing your experience Scott!
I have the chemical guys one from when I first started learning how to detail and it did the job. I've had it for about 8 months so it has lasted with out any breakdown. But I have been looking at getting something that does streak as much and absorbs more. This video helped a lot. Thanks Pan!

I'm sorry but the chemical guys wooly mammoth does suck up a lot of water, but the lint and fibers it leaves behind is ridiculous . I have to use another drying towel on top of that to get all the lint off! Great review video Pan!....I went with the Liquid8r on your recommendation... Thanks!
Good pick! 👍🏻 Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RUclips as we surpassed 1 million subscribers and we have over 140 million views! Just used the liquid8r and gotta say it left my cars full of lint even with the fact that I washed it by itself before I used it. I guess I’ll just stick with good old double twistress drying towels 70/30 blend.
Do to the disparity in size of the various towels, I was afraid they weren't getting a fair shake in the price comparison, so I calculated the price per sq ft of the larger sizes. The Liquidator was the lowest at $3.84 per square ft with the Gauntlet very close behind at $ 4. Next was Griots Wooly at $4.80, followed by the Sucker at $5.14 and the most expensive PFM at $6.21 per Sq ft.
Prices fluctuate over time, certainly since this video was produced. But regardless, it was always clear that the Liquid8r was the best value for money and a clear winner in performance too (with the likes of the Gauntlet, my personal favourite).
All the twist loop towels did amazingly well. Judging only by performance I really can't pick a winner between the twist loop one's. I think my choice would still be the Gauntlet 2.0. In my opinion it's the perfect blend of reasonable price and high quality. Great work Pan, as always👌🏻.
I have the Wooly and have used the Griots before. I still like the Wooly but am looking at picking up the Liquidator. I do use a GreenWorks leaf blower at times (thanks for that video BTW)
I have the Liquid8r, the PFM and the Wooly Mammoth. I rank the wooly mammoth at the bottom - one of my main concerns is that i dropped it and it was totally embedded with small bits of leaves, sand, etc and i could not get any of it out. The Liquid8r has been phenomenal and I agree for the $ you cant get a better drying towel. i have used it many times, washing with free and clear, and have no issues with durability. The Griots PFM absorbed the best out of all of them but i agree it is a bit pricey. Id go with the Liquid8r for any purchases in the future.
Have you had the chance to try the Dry Me Crazy from Microfiber Madness? I'm kinda stuck deciding between the Gauntlet and the Dry me Crazy and can't really decide which to pick... Both are at a similar price point for me. Thanks as always for the great videos!
I liked the Gauntlet better than Liquid8R - found the second one just didn’t hold up in the wash/dry cycle and I definitely baby my towels (Rags to Riches, correct water temp/dry procedure, etc) …and it still lost it’s drying ability pretty quickly which was disappointing. I have detail towels that I have had for YEARS that are still great shape so maybe in that value category, the difference is in the quality of the microfiber. Griots is also very nice but I do have to fold in in half to control it! GREAT video as always Pan!
Hi Pan. thank you for your detailed review Question: what is the best method for cleaning the towels.. Hand wash or machine wash? Type of soap? Obviously no fabric softener Thank you and keep up the great videos

Hello Pan. I am looking for good quality towels for interior detailing- cleaning. One for windows and one also for removing polish- wax. Thanks for making this video as I was looking for some quality exterior drying towels as well!!👌
@@PanTheOrganizer One last thing to note regarding the Liquid8r. You mentioned the 16x16 that it was $8. It is, but its only available in a 2 pk so it is $16. So basically what you would pay for 1 of the 20x24. My last question is In regards to The Rag Cimpany's Standard Waffle Weave Towel. Besides that towel being great for cleaning glass is it also good for cleaning polish or wax off of your vehicle? Or, would you recommend a differnt towel for that? If so, which one or type would you recommend instead? Thanks again Pan!
pls can you make a video with the best Windshield Washer Fluids ? ...nobody did it yet :)) i get this question so many times from clients...whats the best solution for Windshield Washer
Great video Pan, through & detailed (no pun intended) information, good variety of quality companies/products reviewed. I bought a smaller size drying towel from Luxury Microfiber back in August based on a previous video of yours. Have been happy with it and intend to keep it for years to come. I'm about to use it again after washing my car, once I finish this post. Keep up the good work. BTW, to totally change the subject, do you have any videos about paint/clear coat correction via wet sanding? I have some scratches on 2007 Lexus that are beyond what can be done with my DA polisher, but I'm hesitant to attempt sanding without more information.
hi pan! personally i use gauntlet because it is very absorbent, not so expensive, but the liquid8r seems interesting. I might purchase one of that once available here thanks for.the cideo
Great video, happy to say I use the gauntlet and liquid8r. They are awesome towels. A little off topic but when using sealants like Bread Maker, how long would I have to wash them before they become hydrophobic?
I personally wash my towels after each use, especially if you use drying aids, as those can load up the fibers and make them less absorbant. Also, use a quality microfiber detergent like this one: bit.ly/3N5w9C5
Pan this video really was very close in performance. From the rag company I have the 16x16 liquid8r 2 pack and they're phenomenal, I have the twist and shout and twistress as well they're just awesome quality. Luxury microfiber I have not purchased yet but the towel is a beast. I do have an autofiber amphibian towel but I find it does not last as long. And chemical guys I've not purchased for this reason. Its more expensive, and the results fell short that's just my opinion. I have a few products from them but they highly overmarket and they don't provide a lot of information. I will say that I really enjoyed this video and any of these are very great in performance! And worst case you have a small blanket to use
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you for this video! They're all great choices like you said. I like the color options just to make the experience better. Personally I'm colorblind but I like that touch
Yeah it's important to clean microfiber towels the proper way. I use this detergent: bit.ly/3N5w9C5 Here's my popular tutorial on how to wash microfiber towels: ruclips.net/video/t_ryfGlkE9I/видео.html
I personally have the first version of the gauntlet. Absolutely love it. I even have a few of the smallest gauntlets as my final buffing towels. Previously I tried the mammoth and found that it lints badly on my car despite being ceramic coated. I downgraded it as my shower rug for after baths and showers 😂

My favorite is the Griots PFM. I also have TRC Gauntlet and Liquid8R. I use the Griots PFM as my primary towel with Auto Fanatic 007 Gloss Enhancer and it works great. I use the TRC Gauntlets as the second towel to buff. I only buy the Griot PFM when it's on sale usually during Black Friday, it goes down to $32 bucks.
I personally use the Chemical Guys towel and observed the same results which I found disappointing. Nevertheless it’s an excellent towel. A word of caution to all. Bigger is not always better. The bigger it is the heavier it becomes when wet. It also becomes very awkward to use.
You are correct, big towels are not always the way to go as they have their application. In Texas my customers love their trucks and full size SUV’s to include myself. I have small and big towels to use based on size of vehicles when I am drying side panels as opposed to roof, hood, trunks, etc.
I've always liked to pick a drying towel that also has a smaller version of it that I can use for drying wheels and tires separately. In my case I use the Griots PFM Terry Weave Drying Towel you have in the video along with their 16x16 version (also 1120 GSM - a 2pk is $19.99)
I used the Gauntlet for a long time and loved it....until I tried Luxury Microfiber's Sucker. Noticeable improvement in water pickup and retention. I also bought a Sucker Lite which has a softer fiber on the "non-drying" side to smooth out any topper you may be using. I am able to dry my wife's X7 with a single 20" X 32" Sucker Lite. Haven't yet tried the Liquid8r.
I find that with twist loop drying towels they generally perform consistently great from the start, whereas plush towels they tend to do poorly at the beginning when they're bone dry, but after they've picked up a bit of water into all of the fibers they perform pretty much just as well as twisted loop. Osmosis is easier with the twist loop towels because the water is able to get into more fibers as they're bunched together.
Great video Pan as usual. I was supprised that the Autofiber Dreadnought wasn't tested. I prefer it in the Jr. size but that is just my preference. Keep up the great work
The Rag Company 1500 is hands down the best drying / detailing towel I've ever had. I was not able to get any wet streaks out of it even after drying a whole SUV. It absorbs water so well! The only thing I can complain is that it's 30x30" and it is extremely heavy and bulky. I wish they had half that size.
I feel like wringing out your towel a couple times is worth having a less cumbersome tool. Unless there's some great reduction in a towel's durability from wringing it out. I'm new to detailing and there's a lot to learn.
Those towels bleed red so bad it's absurd. Literally, 10 washes later and they're still bleeding red. So I have to run some sacrificial towels through the washer after washing the 1500 to pick up the dye so it doesn't ruin my next load of whites.
I have a sucker and a sucker jr. I use the sucker for the wife’s minivan and it does the whole thing with no problem and is still sucking up water all the way to the end, and the junior for my motorcycle. The sucker does get pretty heavy toward the end. If doing it over I would probably just get 2 sucker jr’s and use both on the van and alternate on the moto but regardless I can’t recommend the sucker line enough - I love them.
I have the Rag CO Gauntlet 15X24. The size is perfect for me. I have small hands, so wringing out towels any larger is a challenge. It does a great job on my SUV. I recently received my EGO blower, so now I am using that but I still finish up some areas with the gauntlet. Thanks for posting another informative video. Keep them coming.
I've had the earlier version of the Gauntlet for a couple of years and have been disappointed in the performance as it left streaks. On the other hand, I have the Sucker Jr. and can dry my entire sedan or my wife's compact SUV without needing to wring it out or use a second towel. No drops, no streaks. It should be noted I used Bead Maker as a drying aid.
Pan, Do you have a video for the proper method of washing & drying towels? I feel like regardless what I do they eventually lint. Mixing different styles and new and old towels definitely ruins the new towels.
Yes I have a tutorial for that here: ruclips.net/video/t_ryfGlkE9I/видео.htmlsi=iR8X_FDrFOSSzWoY And here's my favourite microfiber detergent: amzn.to/3RbtoEu
Thanks for all of your great and informative videos Pan, I have learned so much from you. I purchased the LIQUID8R this past summer, and so far I am very pleased with it. Also, thank you for mentioning the cost in Canadian dollars as well. Always a pleasure to watch and learn from you 🙂
I’ve had Luxury Microfiber Sucker for about 18 months. Great towel and still dries just as well as the first time I used it. I’ve also had the PFM and seems that after about a year it’s not as effective at drying as it once was.
I have CG and your results are accurate. I got my towel for Amazon Prime day, so best bang for the buck. I like the size. I have a pearl white car, perfection not needed. Probably not the best towel for a black car.
I really appreciate this video Pan and all of these towels are light years ahead of a chamois. I personally use the Gauntlet for everyday drying and a waffle weave for drying around emblems and tight nooks and crannies. The Rag Company does have the 1500 which looks like a beast of a towel. Perhaps one day someone will develop these microfiber towels into shower towels and wash cloths which I would definitely buy. It would be nice not removing all of the lint from the dryer todays shower towels leave behind. One last tip is to make sure and wash your towels after using a drying aid because it will cause streaking the next time you use your towel. Thank you for the video and I hope your doing well!
Yeah, stick with The Rag Company microfiber towels, so much better! Here are their towels: amzn.to/3QTMUoD I made a video about which towels are best for different uses here: ruclips.net/video/VOCy2l8bdm4/видео.htmlsi=r1bCf6Fgx5PkLiVK Also, always make sure you wash your new towels before their first use.
For years, my favorite drying towel was the Griot's PFM. It is only recently that it was finally bested in my personal collection by the Luxury Microfiber Sucker. That's my new favorite, but in my experience, those are the best 2 on the market.
I’ve not tried their Woolly mammoth towel but I would definitely not recommend getting their regular chemical guys drying towel. I can’t even finish my waxed 2 door car.
Try Exoforma new towel: ExoForma Mega Car Drying Towel from No Streaks, Scratches, or Water Spots - Large Premium 1200 GSM Microfiber - Double Twist Pile & Edgeless Design for 1 Quick & Effortless Dry - 24” x 36”
I bought the Liquidator towel because of Rag Company's show. My first set, the towel started getting caught on everything and so lines started coming apart. I bought a second set to see if it was just the manufacturing, but the same thing happened. I wrote to the Rag Company and they said it's very normal for the Liquidator to fall apart over a few uses, but yours look so dang good and new..
Twist loop always have a chance of getting caught in emblems and sharp logo edges, but you can cut the fibers off with a pair of scissors if that happens.
I have been using the Pluffle towel for many years, which is a very soft plush waffle weave. I may try the Gauntlet next time. I’m not a fan of twist loop, as they are not nearly as soft. Nice video Pan!
New to the detailing universe. Great videos. Thanks. Viewed several channels on the subject of drying towels and no one seems to mention what to do if they become saturated and more drying has to be done. Can you just wring and wring 'em out until water stops dripping? Dumb question, maybe. But reviews so far I've seen are spread it out, slide it off one time and, "Yup. Picks up water." Kudos to you for responding to ALL your vids, not just the most recent ones!!
Thanks for the positive feedback! I appreciate it. You can certainly wring out the towels, but more for the smaller sizes. The ultra oversized ones (for large vehicles) are harder to wring out, but on the flip-side, you shouldn't really have to wring them out as they can absorb a lot of water and you should be able to do the entire vehicle. And if you are towel drying, it's always recommended to use a quick detailer or drying aid as a buffer between the paint and the towel (less chances of marring as the drying aid acts as a lubricant) and that also helps with picking up water. Or the best scenario, if your paint is protected (wax, sealant or coating) is to use a car dryer or leaf blower (like I do) to quickly go around the vehicle. That removes 95% of the water in just a few minutes. And then you can go over the paint with a towel and drying aid to pick up the residual droplets of water and give that final touch of gloss/slickness. That's what I do. Welcome to my channel. Watched this test to confirm my experience with the Chemical Guys Wooly Mammoth. Can't even dry my Miata and leaves LOTS of lint behind. Looking forward to trying the Rag Company products.
We're on the same page Scott. Yeah the TRC drying towels are top notch. Of course, always wash your towels before their first use. And don't wash microfiber towels with other types of fabrics from your regular laundry (clothes, etc).
I have a wooly mammoth, a gauntlet & a GTECHNIQ diamond sandwich towel and I find the gtechniq the absolute best in absorption and performance, but the gauntlet is a very very close second place! Can’t fault either. The wooly mammoth, as some have said too, doesn’t absorb as well initially but gets better, but it is also so big and cumbersome to use that I only use it on large vehicles really

I tested several microfiber towels. If you compare the amount of water a towel holds every good towel will absorb about the same amount per ounce of cloth. If you want to absorb more, just used the gsm and convert the area to square meters and multiply. The one with a larger value will always absorb more.
Great video Pan. I have used two of the five towels on the video, the Gauntlet and the Woolly Mammoth. The WM is ok but takes a couple of passes to dry. The Gauntlet on the other hand is awesome! It dries on the first try. I will be purchasing the Luxury brand drying towel as it did a great job.

Hi Pan. Among the popular yellow and gray car drying cloths, how many gsm should we buy? it is made of coral velvet material and continues in 400-500-600.. gsm. What is your advice?
For performance it's certainly flawless as I mentioned. The only issue is the price, and many of my viewers do value the price. So at equal performance, some were less expensive. Hence the reason the Griot's did not rank higher. There isn't just one criteria when selecting a drying towel in my opinion.
I’ve been using the liquid8r and of all the towels I’ve tried, it has the best absorption in my experience! Not the softest/plushiest feeling towel, but still super high quality as usual from TRC! Thanks for sharing, Pan!
I personally have the Rag Gauntlet and it works fantastic, although it still leaves some streaks (perhaps due to car being non-Ceramic coated) but it is one the best towels I’ve used. After watching your video, I’m giving the Liquid8R a try and use it as my initial dry phase. Then I’ll finish up with my beloved gauntlet. Dan what towel should I use for my spray quick detailer ? Reason is that I don’t want to use the Gauntlet or Liquid8R with chemicals … your thoughts ?
Last summer I ended up buying Gauntlet by TheRagCompany, mainly because the last video you did actually talked me into it. Even though I mistakenly ordered the one that's half the size of the one in this video, it performs crazy well. Especially under the right conditions (about 25-30 celcius for me) I noticed that it would dry my car almost "no-drop-left" perfectly even with the not DI water I have in my house. Great video Pan, thanks again!
I have the CG waffle weave and some a gauntlet but the waffle weave seems to push water from the start and I use a drying aid but the gauntlet dries better even with drying aid. My biggest thing is at first it dries well but how well does it soak up after you clean the 90% of the car and you are almost done how much more can it absorb that’s the towel I want so which towel would you suggest does the best for continuous absorbing/drying power for a whole car or suv.
I haven’t tested Popo towels. The Gyeon Silk Dryer is good (I tested that in a previous towels battle video) but not as good as the best towels featured here.
I really enjoy your shows, I have a question, We live on the east coast in Pennsylvania currently it is 37 degrees. Looking for rubber gloves that I can use with rinseless wash to keep hand warm when using water to clean the car, any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks. Ron
Hi Ron. Keep in mind it's not recommended to use any type of chemicals in weather below 50F. If you insist on doing a rinseless wash in near freezing conditions, here are some nitrile gloves that I like: amzn.to/3iT9mjp These too are good: amzn.to/3FItMUY
Great video. I have a bunch of the smaller versions of The Gauntlet. I'll certainly try a few of the others as it's nice/educational to try new items. Thank You for another great video, Pan.
I wash my towels after each use. Especially when using drying aids, you don't want the sealant to buildup on the fibers and make the towels less absorbant over time. And use a quality microfiber detergent made for that. This is the one I use: amzn.to/3VnsYv8

Nice video, a tip, i spray 6-8 sprays of quick detailer on the towel to add extra gloss and it works amazing for no extra work
Thanks Dan!
Ceramic sealant and a leaf blower does the job for me 🤣🤣🤣, thank you for sharing Though Pan!!
I also use a blower to dry my car (I have three blowers haha!). But not everyone has the budget for one, so finding the best drying towel makes sense.
@@PanTheOrganizer that’s also very true, before I had my blower I did use rag company towels! Worked fantastic and still does !
The Double Twistress was in my previous test here: ruclips.net/video/079H_dpxlUo/видео.html
And yes that's a great drying towel too.
Thanks for sharing your experience Scott!
I have the chemical guys one from when I first started learning how to detail and it did the job. I've had it for about 8 months so it has lasted with out any breakdown. But I have been looking at getting something that does streak as much and absorbs more. This video helped a lot. Thanks Pan!
I'm glad my videos can help you make a good pick for future purchases. Cheers!

Ive been using Adam's Jumbo Plush Drying towel. Best I have ever used. One towel is enough to dry an entire 2500 crew cab truck.
I have the 16 x 16 Liquid8r. I can dry the entire car and not wring it out. It is easy on the car paint and nice in the hand
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Enjoy the Liquid8r!! :)
I purchased the Rag Company Liquid8r as per your recommendation, excited to try to this out for residual water spots after using the leaf blower lol.

Just used the liquid8r and gotta say it left my cars full of lint even with the fact that I washed it by itself before I used it. I guess I’ll just stick with good old double twistress drying towels 70/30 blend.
Hunh? That’s weird. Did you wash your towel before its first use?
Thanks!
@@PanTheOrganizer 👍🏻❤️
I have the Wooly and have used the Griots before. I still like the Wooly but am looking at picking up the Liquidator. I do use a GreenWorks leaf blower at times (thanks for that video BTW)
Thanks for sharing!!
I got the Rag Company 1500. I LOVE that towel!!! Great video pan! Thank you.
Thanks for sharing!
We agree! 😁
Have you had the chance to try the Dry Me Crazy from Microfiber Madness? I'm kinda stuck deciding between the Gauntlet and the Dry me Crazy and can't really decide which to pick... Both are at a similar price point for me. Thanks as always for the great videos!
Yes and I still prefer the Gauntlet.
I have been using the RapidDry Towels Original, love it.
Thanks for sharing your experience Pah!
Great comparison Pan. I recently took advantage of the the Rag Company Black Friday sale and purchased 3 of the 4 available sizes of the gauntlet.
Thanks Paul!
Hi Pan. thank you for your detailed review
Question: what is the best method for cleaning the towels.. Hand wash or machine wash? Type of soap? Obviously no fabric softener

Hello Pan.
I am looking for good quality towels for interior detailing- cleaning.
One for windows and one also for removing polish- wax.
Thanks for making this video as I was looking for some quality exterior drying towels as well!!👌
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it!
@@PanTheOrganizer
One last thing to note regarding the Liquid8r.
Pan I have all of these but none seem to be as good as the large drying towels from a company called Aqualux.
I haven’t heard of that company. Where are they from?
@@PanTheOrganizer Dallas, TX
Thanks Daniel! I don’t have a video on wet sanding yet, but that would be a great idea for a future video!
The chemical guys mammoth they have a 25 x 30
hi pan! personally i use gauntlet because it is very absorbent, not so expensive, but the liquid8r seems interesting. I might purchase one of that once available here thanks for.the cideo
Thanks for watching Mark!
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks I will start doing that and the detergent I use already, it’s a great detergent
How do you wash these towels after you've used them?
Thanks for the feedback!
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you for this video! They're all great choices like you said. I like the color options just to make the experience better. Personally I'm colorblind but I like that touch
Pan, Would or could use drying aids with these towels?
Yes absolutely. Just wash your towels after use.
Hey! Have you reviewed the superior detailing drying towel? I got an ad about it and was wondering if it's any good 🤔🤔
Never heard of that brand.

Thanks for sharing! How did you discover my channel by the way?

That’s one of my biggest things is linting and I have some CG brand new MF towels a d they lint out of the bag.
Hi pan I saw your interview the other day with hawk detailing at sema. It was very good. Nice to see a personal side to your business
Thanks I appreciate it! SEMA was so much fun!
You have a great selection of towels there! :)
I personally use the Chemical Guys towel and observed the same results which I found disappointing. Nevertheless it’s an excellent towel. A word of caution to all. Bigger is not always better. The bigger it is the heavier it becomes when wet. It also becomes very awkward to use.
GYEON Quartz are really good.
I had the Gyeon in my previous test here: ruclips.net/video/079H_dpxlUo/видео.html
And they sometimes drag across the ground😫
I agree. I’ve found myself folding the towel in half or quarters when I do the side of vehicle anyways
You are correct, big towels are not always the way to go as they have their application. In Texas my customers love their trucks and full size SUV’s to include myself. I have small and big towels to use based on size of vehicles when I am drying side panels as opposed to roof, hood, trunks, etc.
Gauntlet is what I currently use. Another one I recently heard about from another detailer is Klin Microfiber. Haven’t purchased any yet though.
Thanks for sharing your experience Tom!
Can vouch for the Gauntlet. It's not the highest GSM but the hybrid-weave pattern makes it better and more efficient at absorbing water.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Also the plush towels doesnt hold up as well. After a few washed the fibers often start sticking together.
Klin Korea needs to be on you testing list pricy but amazing
Great video Pan as usual. I was supprised that the Autofiber Dreadnought wasn't tested. I prefer it in the Jr. size but that is just my preference. Keep up the great work
I haven’t had the chance to test the Autofiber towel yet. But a few viewers have spoken about it so perhaps in a future comparison! 😁
Liquid8r VS Dreadnought please.
Hi Pan, you talk about versatility, then why don’t you test their durability? Do they still perform as well as new after several washes of the towel?
The Rag Company 1500 is hands down the best drying / detailing towel I've ever had. I was not able to get any wet streaks out of it even after drying a whole SUV. It absorbs water so well! The only thing I can complain is that it's 30x30" and it is extremely heavy and bulky. I wish they had half that size.
2 people recommended for a vehicle with that one lol
Same, I can dry an entire mid-sized SUV with the 1500 without any water streaking at all. I also have the Gauntlets and the 1500 is the go to for me.
Did the Rag company double the price of the 16x16 Liquid8r after winning first place?
I have a sucker and a sucker jr. I use the sucker for the wife’s minivan and it does the whole thing with no problem and is still sucking up water all the way to the end, and the junior for my motorcycle. The sucker does get pretty heavy toward the end. If doing it over I would probably just get 2 sucker jr’s and use both on the van and alternate on the moto but regardless I can’t recommend the sucker line enough - I love them.
They are great towels no doubt!
Thanks Lisa!

Pan,
Do you have a video for the proper method of washing & drying towels?
I feel like regardless what I do they eventually lint. Mixing different styles and new and old towels definitely ruins the new towels.

Thanks for sharing your experience Linda! I hope you are having a great weekend.
I’ve had Luxury Microfiber Sucker for about 18 months. Great towel and still dries just as well as the first time I used it. I’ve also had the PFM and seems that after about a year it’s not as effective at drying as it once was.
Yeah the Sucker is a great towel for sure! Good pick!
I have CG and your results are accurate. I got my towel for Amazon Prime day, so best bang for the buck. I like the size. I have a pearl white car, perfection not needed. Probably not the best towel for a black car.
Thanks for sharing your experience Adam!
Thanks for sharing Neil! And yes you are right about washing the towels after use. I always wash all my towels after each day of use.
just bought a liquid8tr after learning the hard way. Purchased a 32 pack of chemical bros towels and they transfer so much lint...lesson learned

For years, my favorite drying towel was the Griot's PFM. It is only recently that it was finally bested in my personal collection by the Luxury Microfiber Sucker. That's my new favorite, but in my experience, those are the best 2 on the market.
They are both top notch performers for sure! 👍🏻
I’ve not tried their Woolly mammoth towel but I would definitely not recommend getting their regular chemical guys drying towel. I can’t even finish my waxed 2 door car.
So thankful for Pan and his channel!

The luxury microfiber, the sucker is my favorite.
I didnt like it the texture was not plush or soft rather hard and rough. Get the gauntlet u wont regret it.
I had the same problem but I love them I can dry my tundra with 1 towel
I use a brand called Dreadnought and never looked back, probably the best drying towel I’ve used for vehicles
I have been using the Pluffle towel for many years, which is a very soft plush waffle weave. I may try the Gauntlet next time. I’m not a fan of twist loop, as they are not nearly as soft. Nice video Pan!
Thanks Steve!
I use the rag company gauntlet after a quick blow dry. Love the results. Thanks again for your very informative videos.
Awesome! Thank you!
I never liked or use chemical guys anything. I knew it would be last before the start.
The sucker is my favorite
Good pick!

It's a great towel for sure.
Imo it would be the sucker .but as u stated it's subjective
Yeah many great drying towels now. That’s how far microfiber technology has come.

Key point … grab a twisted loop microfiber towel for drying and consider cost!
Rag Company has a great product at a good price. You can't go wrong with them, they have any microfiber towels you could possibly want.

Hi Pan please include the Diy detail drying blanket. Never come across yet any brand that use micro-twist loop. Been using TRC Liquid8r and is great
I don't personally like that towel as much as the ones from The Rag Company.
Hi Pan.
Among the popular yellow and gray car drying cloths, how many gsm should we buy? it is made of coral velvet material and continues in 400-500-600.. gsm. What is your advice?
I have no idea. I have the microfiber drying towels that you saw in this video. Those are the towels I know.
Say what you will but the griots has my vote as #1
For performance it's certainly flawless as I mentioned.
Thanks Jeff!
I have found the best value with the Gauntlet towels. I have a few of the smaller sizes and one of the larger sizes.
I use a Detail Popo Twisted Rain, which looks to be the same as the Liquid8r. The Detail Popo however, gives you a lot more material for the money.
Agree with you great towel👌🏻

Thanks George!
Pan, how about the GYEON line of Drying towels and the Detail POPO line also? Great reviews from a purchasing website you know of out West I see.
I haven’t tested Popo towels. The Gyeon Silk Dryer is good (I tested that in a previous towels battle video) but not as good as the best towels featured here.

Hi, I wonder if you have tried Rapid Dry Towel 2.0, any feedback?
I haven’t
Great video. I have a bunch of the smaller versions of The Gauntlet. I'll certainly try a few of the others as it's nice/educational to try new items. Thank You for another great video, Pan.
Thanks Jay! You have a great drying towel by the way. ;)
Big towels when wet get heavy real and hard to ring out. I prefer something smaller. What do you recommend in a smaller size? Thanks!!
Same recommendations, just in the size you prefer.
How often should you wash these drying towels??? Usually use it with Bead Maker and wash my 2 cars weekly. Thank you.
I wash my towels after each use. Especially when using drying aids, you don't want the sealant to buildup on the fibers and make the towels less absorbant over time. And use a quality microfiber detergent made for that. This is the one I use: amzn.to/3VnsYv8
