It's nice to see The Local Project venture beyond Australia and New Zealand. One other suggestion would be Mexico City, which has a longstanding history of great modern architecture, including the legacy of Luis Barragán.
It's really nice to see examples of Local Projects State side (USA). Well done! Having worked most of my life in manufacturing and construction, I hope that we too can achieve the level craftsmanship in concrete and joinery seen in Australia and New Zealand. (This is not a criticism)😊
This video in my opinion is the most creative video of TLP. The pause, the zoom, sounds, your team really put the architect design into a well deserved piece of art. I feel like to buy the house
I've never seen not even one of all the house that this architect design and build to be ugly. Every house he design are unique and beautiful. He is the one behind the "Upside down house in Beverly Hills" one of the most unique and crazy house in this area. Love to see is work.
That window in the kitchen is so grand, absolutely incredible with the greenery behind it. Wonderful house, although the shooting style was a bit too artistic - while I appreciate the creativity, I would’ve liked to see more of the house, how it is to walk around it.
The house is spectacular, especially the harmony of its materials. I love the dining table and seating. I wish I could have better understood the flow from the main area to each of the four wings. I think the collage-like video editing did not allow this.

It's still a design only made possible by wealth/money. So maybe that's what the person means by flashy and luxurious. The design is very restrained and elegant.

The editing and shooting style of this one appears to be more aligned with Architectural Digest rather than The Local Project's usual style, which I personally prefer. I would appreciate it if you could go back to the old style.
It's a matter of preference. I hate overly lit houses, with so many glass panels, it looks like a greenhouse to me. Imagine that in the heat and the excessive need for air conditioning.
Lovely home. Question though... There's this big, flat, and frankly, ugly roof with open sun exposure. Why not put several rows of solar panels? Are there zoning restrictions or other reasons for not doing it? Especially in progressive-thinking CA, it seems like a no-brainer.
What is this "good taste in LA architecture" you're trying to make us swallow?! You mean not every LA house is super tacky and flamboyant??? I demand to see more, or I'm calling witchcraft
Beautiful oak tree and architecture! The video editing/production is way too distracting and pretentious, and honestly kinda tacky... not the best way to shine light on this house
probably $10 mill USD and you get to live in a 'hood with a bunch of canyon rats in the shade, then fight in still traffic to get to a spot at the yoga studio with a bunch of raging phonies who did the same. Nice house though.
@TheLocalProject Would watch more episodes if it wasn’t for the poor sound editing. Music during speaking is such a challenge for people with an audio impairment or sensitivity. Please alternate speaking and music.

Of particular interest are the dry pine needles that collect on the flat roof waiting on summer embers to light them on fire.
