These videos are just butter. From the cinematography to the editing to the “why” behind the design. I feel like I’m on blissful holiday when I watch these films.
That smell is no joke it’s so pretty and nostalgic for me. I had a cedar clubhouse when i was young and it always smelled so good. It lasted my whole childhood too
Fantastic house. I know this particular area very well and it is nice to see a house that’s not another McMansion. Instead it’s modern, thoughtful and blends in so well
This house was one of the most viral house on IG for years a lot of people didn't believe it was real because of the way the way it was design the landscaping and everything... Love it💚💛
I just happened upon this video and was mesmerized. Caleb Mulvena has a mellow, relaxed voice and offers great insight into the project in an articulate narrative. Outstanding production, filming, writing and editing. Quite the treat as architectural videos go.
I like the idea of the house growing out of its surroundings and not being too big and imposing. The green roof looks great. I dislike too much timber inside the house but somehow they made it work - it's all wood and it's still not too busy and very relaxed and I am sure it smells incredible. The only thing I dislike is the kitchen - it sticks out like a sore thumb in a modern house like that.
I thought that too, but then noticed what looks like a pocket door. So it seems like they can close off that space when not in use. Having a wood floor in a kitchen is impractical, but I might have chosen a floor tile wasn’t such a contrast with the lovely wood floors of the adjoining rooms.
@@hrh597788 That may have been a marriage compromise - I'm conceding a house full of wood - literally every surface - so I want the tile I actually want....
@@hrh597788 pocket doors are nice but the kitchen still gives off a totally different vibe. It's not just the floors but cabinets and choice of tiles. Japanese kitchens are pretty awesome - i think one vaguely in that style would've worked great there.
please explain the layout further! The 4 bedrooms surrounding a main play area???? there is only 1 window to the view...how are those designed???? where is the "not pretty" stuff? the machine room for the pool? the heaters? laundry? trash? where to they store the christmas tree?
Am I the only one who thinks the kitchen feels out of place? The house is this beautiful mix of contemporary architecture with mid century and Japanese architecture but the kitchen looks so busy with all those pattern tiles and the design of the cabinets, the kitchen feels like a classic farmhouse kitchen
Beautiful house but I wish the editing was not so jumpy. The pace of the cuts are much faster than a typical LP video which have a meditative pace that I really enjoy. It was hard to take in the home and it's details in this video. That being said, I love the channel and excited for all the new North American content.
Ha, I felt similarly and was relieved someone else caught this! I’m a filmmaker and video editor and chuckled while watching; I think this editor hasn’t learned yet that the beat of the song isn’t the only thing that should determine your cuts. 😅 I mean they were spot ON that beat, so kudos for an impeccable perception of rhythm? Which is great for music videos and action scenes, but doesn’t serve this genre of video as well. So many missed opportunities to allow this beautiful imagery to settle and allow the viewer to relax into the meditative experience these videos so often offer, while appreciating the property being shown. I had to look away a few time tbh because it was stressing me out 😂 I’m rooting for this editor, and hoping they’ll get the hang of trusting not just the beat but the shot itself to compel a cut.
Everything is nearly perfect except this kitchen. It is like photoshoped in this house and take houses entirely aura. Fair enough, cedar smell is coming from the screen!
I love this channel, but the editing can be so inconsistent. It would've been really nice to get some longer shots to appreciate the spaces more. I had to pause and rewind many times. I still have no clue what the master bedroom looks like. Please consider the viewing experience.
@@ColemanOuimet as in "in winter once every week or so you go bathe in a full-time warmed pool of hundreds of thousands of drinkable water instead of putting on a wetsuit and going into the ocean" ? Oh yeah that makes so much more sense now ;)
Why don't you add the location to the title? It's very annoying when a location needs to be googled every time. You might be surprised with the fact, that most of the people on this planet do not live in Hampton Bay and have no idea about its location.

Refreshing to see a home with some taste in the Hamptons. Beautiful.

Living in a house like this, experiencing it, smelling the green environment and the fresh air from the broad bay would be so mesmerizing.
Caleb Mulvena's voice is soooo beautiful and soothing.
I feel like this channel covers lots of homes in Australia, so it's cool to see some homes being highlighted in the States!
I like that it focuses on Australian and NZ homes, there is already to many videos of homes in the states.

I love this channel but the way they’re editing takes so much joy from watching these videos
I love how this home compliments the green space outside. Really a great vacation home with a spectacular view! Thanks Local Project
Our pleasure!
One of the most beautiful houses I've seen. Have been falling in love since it was featured years ago in a magazine
Such a lovely guy & home, totally in tune with its natural surrounds❤
Beautiful home. I appreciate the use of “noble” materials. No need for plastics or drywall.
The green roof and garden are beautiful.
I saw this while scrolling on the web. Love the outside aesthetic!
Love it--I took a nice deep breath 😊
Thank you for the Natural emergence from the Meadow 🌿🌱🌿
Thanks for sharing. It is so beautiful.😍
Love the main living area.
great house, great guy, great location
ONE WORD. BEAUTIFUL.
This house is perfection 🙌 This kitchen however … why 🤷♀️
You guys is really inspire me, thank you for your artworks.
That Iconic rooftop garden is part of the house's thoughtful designs that enhances the overall experience of the home. 😍😍
Would actually like to live there. very nice home!
I was looking for more of a natural take on the kitchen. They have nailed the exterior of the home.
my new favorite

the kitchen is hideous tbh, does not match the house at all.
@@maddidis agreed
It would be awesome if you listed the music artist for each video. Always love the music you choose!
Why thos tiles in the kitchen? such a stunning, grounded home and those tiles and the kitchen palet is such a stark shift
I love everything about it except the black and white tile in the kitchen.
Красивый домик ,светлый .
Природа просто обняла и обояла красотойиотсутствия лишнего.
Love it like a giant sauna
Oh wow! Such 'non-American' house in the US - please take that as the biggest compliment.
Good
love this home! local Hamptons real estate videographer with 5+ years of experience if you need help with future projects on Long Island!
It's amazing! The house is beautiful

Beautiful but looks really expensive, how much was it approximately?
Gorgeous house. But I think it's pretty funny that he implies that 3800 square feet is a small house.
pretty nice house (way more tasteful than some of the stuff on this channel) but the music and editing continue to make me want to eat the rich.

Is this house operated as a rental?
How much would it cost to buy the land and the house in Australian market?
The drystone wall in the garden probably cost more than I will ever be able to pay for a whole renovation.
🤩🤩🤩
The House is lovely but the editing is abysmal. Too many guick cut.
Agreed, I never really got a feel for what any of the bedrooms looked like, though that could be intentional for privacy.

Agreed, but because I am in control I just go back and pause it. Then I can look at it for as long as I like.
Agreed. Looks like a stunning house that needs to be really seen. Owners probably decided on showing bits and pieces in that fashion.
I felt the same here, specially because the videos are relatively short
Nice home but the kitchen doesn't work
Love this house. Beautiful and serene. The music felt too loud and incongruent with the visuals-it distracted me.
That deck is not cedar. It is ipe.

"Hey Honey, I'm going to go out and mow the roof."
Can you please slow the cuts down? I have to pause the video 10 times just to get an understanding of what the house looks like.
I have to become wealthy

everything about the house is beautiful except the kitchen.... why would they do that???
Nice house but far too many cuts!
Beautiful house. Highly unlikely that the roof won’t leak unless the architects were ground breakers and actually listened to the builder.
interesting shot of the feet, not sure how i feel
Rich people being rich. Ho hum.
An outdoor, in-ground pool in long Island?! I'd hate to see that pool heating bill lmao

This house is so beautiful - aside from the kitchen. Not sure what happened there
Looked for it in the comments and couldn't find it so I'll say it : wasting water on a pool so close to the sea is absolute stupidity.
Winter my friend ;)

Nice house, but horrible editing, cutting too fast, every 1 to 2 seconds. 👎
