    Tammie, I like that you say positive things about all the quilts whether there intricate
    or simple. As a self-taught quilter the artistry of your quilting enhances even the most
    simplest of quilts. My own "straight line" quilting will suffice in future.

    • @tammieearnest

      Straight line quilting is beautiful as well. It’s the love that you put into each quilt that your family will cherish.

    I really like your basket block and your temperature blocks! It looks like you used a metallic silver or a gray with a sheen for the centers of your butterflies in your row quilt. The quilting design on the brown with colors quilt reminds me of dolphins swimming along! Love that design! Works great with the sunset! Cynthia’s quilts are gorgeous! Celery might have been a good thread choice for the Corey Yoder quilt, but the white is beautiful, too!. Marsha may have done 2 kits for the Ohio quilt which would be 6 yards. It just looks bigger than the usual 3 yard quilts. Nice job on it! Deedee’s style appeals to me! The bright colors are pretty! The last quilt is really beautiful! It looks like the wine color blocks are all the way across, while the other rows are assorted tones!

    • @tammieearnest
      @tammieearnest  6 месяцев назад +1

      I agree that the “3 yard” quilt is bigger. It’s great to know that those patterns can be made into larger quilts as well.

    Another great live stream today, thank you Tammie. I always enjoy watching your personal projects. The temperature quilt isn’t really my thing, but I love seeing yours done in the linen - gives it a bit more depth I think. The idea of adding the extra embellishments to match what is happening in your personal family life is a great idea. You will always look at the quilt and remember the occasion at a glance. Why don’t you appliqué 2024 on one of the roofs of the houses? It will immediately catch your eye and be easy to see when you made this quilt.

    Another video full of temptation! I have received my fabrics for Pieceful Baskets but have not taken them out of the bundle yet. I was so surprised to see how big the block is! I expected 8-12”. It will be fun! Had to pause and purchase Wonk Around The Block. My granddaughter would love that. Hope DeeDee doesn’t mind if I copy. I sew enjoy your videos!

    I always start looking for your video on Wednesday evening so I was thrilled when I saw your video this morning! You never disappoint, you always have so much wonderful quilty goodness in your videos. I love the idea of adding a “heart” on special dates for your temperature quilt. It is turning out to be so pretty. I had never thought to check my local library to see if they have any quilt books, but I plan to now. They are small so they may not have any but it is worth checking. What fun quilts you had today, such a wonderful variety of patterns, fabrics, and pantograms. I am planning to use Collection for a Cause for my new Sew Sampler basket quilt. I am completing the Mystery FQS QAL for 2023 and it used a line of Camille’s for that which is her blues/greens so I decided that I wanted to use a different color theme for this basket one. In fact, I selected a fat quarter bundle of the Collection for a Cause after seeing it in one of the quilts that you shared in one of your videos, maybe the one prior to this one. It was so pretty in that quilt and I love the reds and aquas together. I absolutely can’t resist a line of those colors!! LOL. I will probably wait a few months to get the patterns so I have a feel for the look of the quilt before I start cutting my fabrics since I will have to put them together on my own. There is something to be said for having the colors/fabrics already selected so you don’t have to do that. That was the way it was for the FQS Mystery quilt that we are finishing. Anyway, it should be fun, and I am really enjoying the Sew Sampler box - it is the only one that I subscribe to now and I think it is a great value for the price and I feel like we always get the latest and greatest!! Until next time, enjoy your quilting and your new grand babies!! ❤

    P. S. I will do the quilt along with you from my Fat quarter subscription box. And perhaps I will try to fit in the row quilt too.❤ Also, I love the quilt pattern. You chose for long arm on that 70s style Quilt. You could not have possibly done better. It’s gorgeous!

    Welcome back, Grandma again 😁. I was wondering when You get ready to start a project. Do You starch your fabrics? I started to use the Spray Starch, I soak my fabric and let it dry on rods in the shower. It's helped me a lot, just wondering. Also doing "Pieceful Baskets"

    On my Bonnie hunter quilt (first mystery quilt I’ve ever done), I tried very hard and I mean hard!, I still layed it out with some errors😢 and a few points slightly lost but I do like it very much. As someone once said “ if you were galloping by on a horse, would you notice the errors?” That’s what I’m going with!😂. Also there’s a tad bit of waviness / bubble in the middle…any thoughts of how I might get that to go away? Maybe rewashing and blocking it??

    • @tammieearnest
      @tammieearnest  6 месяцев назад +2

      Pressing it. Washing it will work as well but if you don’t want to do that right at first, then pressing it will help.

    • @cashby1425
      @cashby1425 6 месяцев назад

      @@tammieearnest and I’m sure it was my piecing /fabric stretch problem and didn’t mean to imply it was a quilting issue. ❤️. Just wasn’t sure how to fix it if that was even possible. Right now it’s hanging on a quilting ladder so you can’t tell but before I would put it on the bed I would want to try and wash and press it. See if I can’t get that little bubble out. Thank you for the suggestion Tammie!

    ❤ I watched all of your videos and even watched your past ones that you did before I started watching you. I try to always like and comment so that it builds your RUclips business. I have a question. I am doing an Amish styled quilt with brights and a black background in a log cabin pattern. I want to enter it in this year‘s Kansas state fair. What color of Quilting‘s red would I use? I know usually you use a gray on a black if it has other colors, but I’m wondering if that will mute out the bright colors, and the some of the colors are a little pastel

    • @tammieearnest
      @tammieearnest  5 месяцев назад

      I think a light gray would work well. It would not be too dark on the pastels.

    Good morning! From the video I watched to make this jelly roll quilt, she referenced:
    “am using a pattern called "Crossingsz' by the lovely, Suze, from Revelation Quilts: @revelationquilts Please give her some love and tell her Melissa from @70acres sent you!”
