I have been thinking the same thing after watching a RUclips video of construction of that block. If I were making it, I would change the position of the center block of the first row so that those three blocks form a pinwheel.

Question You said you changed your stitch length to 14 spi on the ice skating quilt. Do you change the length on your machine or in pro stitcher? I do not have pro stitch, but I have the Butler system on my Armara.

In 2024 I made a sailboat baby quilt that had “parchment”-looking old sailors’ maps and my quilter suggested the midnight sparkle. As you say, it looks like wind and the “sparkles” reflected the map compasses. It turned out fantastic! ⛵️⛵️⛵️

The yellow brick road is an old pattern but such a great one to make!!!! My friend is 85 next month and I bet she has made fifty of these quilts. Love the colors so soft and cuddly.

I AM SO HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO SEE THIS VERSION OF THE VILLAGE QUILT. I had purchased this pattern eons before Moda put it on their website as a free pattern. I was working full time as a nurse back then and never got around to making it. Now, I am so pleased as I probably would have gone with a different fabric choice. This one just grabbed my attention. This looks so nice and rustic without looking vintage 'old'. With the fabrics and the quilting choice, it maintains a balance of freshness along with the feeling of sitting in front of a woodstove or fireplace.

The house quilt is perfection!

I really like to hear about and see your quilt membership projects. I love the Farm Girl Gingham quilts! Thanks for all the info about the pattern & book! I am surprised to learn that the backing on Elizabeth's house quilt wasn't a minky. I love how it shows the pantograph much like a minky does without the added weight! Great for bed quilts to use in warmer climates. I also love Christy's Crop Circles panto and the size you used. Every quilt was so well done as usual!

Gorgeous quilts Tammie. I especially love Kim Diehl and I have some of her fabric lines that I have not used but I would like to soon. I am hoping to be moving the first part of February so I have been doing lots of packing. All of my fabrics and notions are packed and in a storage unit until I move so I am not sure how I am going to do with the Quilt Circle projects. I did my first block for the Quilt Bingo and I have the fabrics kept out for the second block so I hope to get that done this month. I already had the B&C book and fabrics but I am just not feeling that I will manage that one and moving too even with the help that my kids will do. I have the cross stitch pattern and threads but my cross stitch fabric is in the basement at the new house so I hope to be able to find it and make a start there. At age 77, all of this is a lot for me with my health issues too but we will see what I can manage. I just wanted you to be aware that I do have some things that may prohibit me from doing everything. I have been enjoying seeing what everyone has been posting on their progress. Happy quilting and thanks for sharing all of the beautiful quilts for this week. I always look forward to seeing all of them; they are very inspiring.

The quilts are extraordinary works of art, and your quilting is the lovely added artistry to make the quilts really shine. I am glad your well is working again. I asked Fat Quarter Shop about the basket pattern and they assured me it was written that way on purpose. Like you, I scoured the Block Encyclopedia first before I asked.

I went to the Tilda website. They have amazing fabric and a whole bunch of free patterns.

You should use your extra pieces for a pillow for your bed or a small hanging quilt for the wall or a table topper.

Doily is most definitely English or U K. I have a drawer full. Crocheted embroidered all colours. Then of course there are the paper ones for putting cakes scones sandwiches etc. White silver or gold depending on occasion. I think Pinterest shows good ideas for using them in projects but too busy quilting since I discovered my new passion lol.😉😉🩷

I love your Calico Garden quilt. Your block of the month with the basket, block #9, I thought I heard you mention “pinwheel.” Was one of the pinwheels HST’s in the wrong position?
