Just now watching this, I have that Nancy Halverson book and love the happy birthday banner idea, I’m going to try and get my granddaughters name and happy birthday done before March. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for another beautiful quilt show, and for the pointers on computerized quilting. Im a free motion quilter, but I've seen first hand from my SIL how precise you have to be setting up a design and lining up those rows, etc. for quilting with a computer program. Beautiful client quilts!❤
❤ Love your videos always. Hint: you can use a small black light shown on the white on white and you can really see the white show up well on the front side of the Fabric. It’s like a miracle. I got my small black light flashlight from my ace hardware store. Had to order it and it was nine dollars. Some of my Quilting buddies have used the ones from Walmart that children used to look at the stars on the ceiling. I was not able to locate one for months on end so but the other from Ace. I love it.
Hi Tammie Love your channel and your wonderful sharing of your customer and your own quilts. The Santa quilt that you showed is a pattern from Sue Garmen called Classic Santas. It was a very popular block of the month programs at many quilt shops over 20 years ago. Thanks so much for sharing your love of quilting and your long arm expertise. Betsy Smyth
Hi Tammie. I found your channel a couple of weeks ago. I really like to watch your videos because of the relaxing way you present them.. I don't quilt but I appreciate your work, your quilts are so beautiful. So glad I found your channel and I'm actually trying to watch all your past videos. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
I have made some of the Nancy Halverson and have some of her books. Also have some of the Thimbleberry books and have made a few of those too! Was the beginning of my quilting 😊
Love seeing all the beautiful quilts, and I like the detail when you speak about the different blocks and the fabrics that are chosen. They are all a work of art. Was inspiring seeing the Santa quilt that they had finally finished it after 20 years. Such a beautiful quilt and it’s so nice that it’s done now to enjoy. Happy quilting!
I LOVE this video with your beautiful quilting and such talented quilters. Erica Arndt is at the top of my list of favs💕 Lynnette Jennings is a name I haven’t heard in years. Her piecing and fabric lines were incredible! I’m sure you’ll remember the nam Billie Louder as well. Her books and teachings were phenomenal !!! I truly miss this this wonderfully talented lady💕 Thank you for sharing all these talents, and your own with us Tammie♥️🙏🏻🧵
Another great video Tammie. This one popped up in my feed today. So excited that I have found you. You share such an amazing variety of quilts. I bet as a quilter you see a lot of amazing quilts. Thanks for sharing them with us. Gives us amazing inspiration! ❤
Interesting that you mentioned the non-skippable ads……when I viewed this, not a single ad showed up the entire video. I wonder how that works; how do they decide how to do the ads? So sorry you had to deal with those annoying ads, especially when you can’t skip through them.😮
I always look forward to your videos. Love your quilts. You inspired me to start my spools quilt with my scraps. Your process doesn’t make it seem so overwhelming. I love what you are doing with the pillowcases. The quilt is turning out so beautifully. The fabric you choose is perfect. I, too, have many of Nancy Halvorson and thimbleberry quilt books . I still love the projects I made out of them. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you, again.
Hi Tammie. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Xmas. The quilts you showed us today are all so beautiful. I have seen the Labrinth and Barnstar quilts in other colours and it's amazing to see them in fresh colours. Again I wish you a lovely Xmas.
So enjoyed watching your video today. The quilt blocks that you are working on and the finished quilts that you showed were truly beautiful. Always look forward to seeing what you have been working on - it's just so inspiring to me and gives me great ideas for future quilts. 🙂
Hello Tammie. I’m so lad when you make videos to share. I have been quilting for years but I am still learning. I wanted to let you know that I really appreciate the time you take to teach the method of the many parts (interfacing with steam a seam, ironing and cutting after an the many great tips you share) in making a pieced quilt. I don’t quilt everyday it’s a hobby but I am so eager to learn to quilt my pieced pieces on my own. That’s my next goal. I love the ease of listening to you and the pictures you share with the whole quilts you’ve quilted. I love the quilt blocks and sew a longs you share. I’m also doing the Calico and have a couple o blocks to catch up. You make me excited since I can see the next few blocks I need to do. Thank you sew sew much. Hugs for the sharing your time, talent and treasures with us. 😊
You have the joy of quilting some very talented quilters’ quilts…say that 4 times. 🤪 Abdoslutely gorgeous quilts today. I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite. So many talented people out there. Fun to watch. Thanks so much for sharing. Such inspiration. Love your channel. Have a marvelous rest of your week Miss Tammie. 🤗
Thanks bunches! Definitely shows that you love teaching. It always feels like I’m your next door neighbor sitting down enjoying a cup of tea with you. Gosh, you mentioned many of my favorite quilters. Any my memory goes way back. Finished an Erica Arndt pattern, it’s a log cabin she had made using a Catalina jelly roll. This was the first time I specifically bought the same fabric for a quilt and fortunate to find a jelly roll. Made it for our second son and daughter in law as their favorite quilts are always the bright ones. Lol, both my husband and I loved it so much that I kept looking for another Catalina jelly roll. Yup, found one. First in line though is Erica’s pattern Cherberry which I’m using a good stash of my own pink and rose fabrics. Listened to your video as I was quilting our oldest sons quilt, Skipping Stones pattern by Cindi McCracken. Kevin is a carpenter as his dad and this pattern has an architectural and graphic feeling. I chose earth tones batiks.
Beautiful quilts and quilting. After seeing your Happy Birthday banner I bought Nancy’s book. My grandchildren will love a banner with their name on it. Liked meeting your children in the weekly newsletter and am enjoying listening to the book recommendation you gave a few weeks ago. The Printed Letter Bookshop.
I feel like we're all friends too! ❤ Thanks for the tips on the flying geese, I will try not cutting my extra fabric until after I press. Your Calico Garden quilt is turning out so cute! Love it!
I have a couple of the Nancy Halvorson Art to Heart books. I haven’t made anything from them yet. Thanks for the inspiration. I also follow Erica Arndt, she is fun to watch.
I just found your channel and am so glad I have! I like the same designers and the details you gave on those blocks was so helpful. I have just got my calico shapes so am looking forward to beginning it
Hi, Tammie-I’m new to your channel and am enjoying your videos very much. I don’t see the link to Carolyn Forester. Am I missing something? I have been collecting antique and vintage hankies for a few years. The pattern you are using for the pillow case quilt would be the perfect way to showcase them in a quilt. Thank you for the great idea!
Sorry about that. I’m not sure if the pattern is still available, but here is the website referenced for Carol Floral Flourish Quilt pattern using vintage textiles www.carolynforster.co.uk
Tammie I know you mentioned you’d love to make the shine on quilt. Fat quarters is doing a kit this September. I think you can sign up still. I know there was going to be a number of kits so here’s your chance to at least get in on the fun. I also did not do it in 2020 (I was a newbie). They are doing it with a Camille fabric line. Look into it. Hugs Martha
I received this info from Lisa. Hope this helps. "The main floral was a print I purchased at Hobby Lobby that the store had grouped with the Valentine fabric in Jan/Feb of 2023. I have used every bit of it so I don’t even have a scrap selvage to find a number. The light gray was also a Hobby Lobby purchase that I believe is still available; R1 - 1707223MN-07. Dated 2018. The light pink and the red/silver stars in the blocks is from my stash to coordinate. The burgundy red border is Bedrock 50087-71. (It comes in about 130 colors). I purchased this at the Little Red Quilt House (online available) and it is in stock. The white background/red pins is Pin Drop by Christopher Thompson for Riley Blake Designs. I purchased from the Fat Quarter Shop but only white with Aqua pins is available there. I’m sure that could still be found though. For me that floral was the star and I just pulled other colors to coordinate as the quilt blocks came together. If the floral is seasonal I hope Hobby Lobby carries it again. It seemed very much like quilt store quality. All my best to you and your viewer, Lisa 💕"
Hi Tammie, I really love your channel. I love quilting too. Your recent RUclips video was so wonderful. I would be interested in having an online quilt guild to share ideas with others. I am in rural Pennsylvania and the closet quilt shop is an hour away. I have had an Amara for 3 years and 2 weeks ago purchased Pro Stitcher. I am trying to learn how to navigate all that. Yikes!! Any words of wisdom? Your client quilts today were awesome and your longarm quilting was exceptional.
Thank you for your input regarding a membership! I am excited about the response and I will begin making plans in that direction! Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you for watching the videos! I love being able to connect with sweet people across the country AND even a few from outside the US borders! I would love to create a community for quilters who are in your exact situation! Regarding longarming . . . practice, practice, practice. Only learn one new thing at a time. It’s too overwhelming to try to implement everything at once!
I'm doing the same Lori holt Calico Garden, I haven't started it yet, Yikes! it looks hard and Big! I'm going to love it. Will you be adding some of your own embrodery and crochet?
I have watched and loved all of your videos. All the quilts you show are beautiful and inspirational. But this time …. waayyy too many non-skippable ads!!
Thank you for making these wonderful videos! So inspiring.
You are so welcome!

I learned the flip and sew method, but don't trim until it fits from Mary Ellen Hopkins. She was a great teacher, very entertaining.
Yes, yes, yes! I couldn’t recall her name! That’s exactly who I learned it from!
Beautiful work. Connie Chamberlain.
Thank you so much!

About your Birthday Banner (if you’re open to suggestions), what about using velcro strips or snaps instead of pins-fewer pin pricks :)
Good idea!

You WILL love it! At this point, I don’t anticipate adding anything extra. Lori’s quilts are so fun!

I’m sorry for the bad experience.

Yes, exactly! But what a fun way to wear myself out!!
Pretty quilts, bad camera angle.
Thank you for your input!
