Wow!! Thank you for all of the beautiful show n tell. I love learning how you interpret, describe and provide the ‘extra’s to making each quilt shine…🙌👏. Ellie is a cutie…
It’s so fun to see all those quilts and hear the stories that go with them ❤. I made a string quilt last year and absolutely love how happy it is! I stitched mine to 8-1/2” squares of newsprint weight paper and started with white strips in the center. I also added white sashing and red cornerstones and binding. Mine is throw size and I keep it on the arm of the comfy chair in my quilting room. So happy 😊🎉💖
The blue fabric you were looking for, I believe, is "Grace" by Brenda Riddle. That quilt is absolutely beautiful. When you picture a quilt, that quilt is what you see... beautiful.
Thank you for so many wonderful videos and all the links for patterns and fabrics. I find at least one quilt in almost every video that I want to make 😊. So glad I found you. Absolutely love the music and your calm, encouraging manner.
Another week of gorgeous quilts!! I loved them all. I don’t know how you manage to get them all done. Congratulations on the arrival of Ellie Mae; she is so adorable. What fun to have two new babies in your family. Two of my granddaughters were only two months apart and it always seemed like there were twins in the family. See you next time……………….
Tammie...beautiful baby...congratulations to your family...thanks for sharing all the lovely quilts today...I love all the quilts...especially the string quilt...best wishes❤❤
Grace by Brenda Riddle is the collection you chose for your breathtaking antique quilt.🙂 I am looking forward to seeing the Basket quilt you are planning to sew with Camille R's fabric. I like her fabric, too. Thank you for sharing the photo of your precious grandchild.
Wow. New concept for me ))) Sometimes I put double fluff batting in mine so it will be VERY warm and do BIIIIGGGG stitches to hold all together. If there is NO batting at all, it must be easier to sew and fine for very hot days. I have a Santa Claus bed with lots of wool blankets and quilts even in summer. Choose which layer to sleep in. )))
If not using any batting, it is very difficult to get good tension on a longarm machine! When longarming, I would at least use a Request batting from Quilters Dream. That is their thinnest loft batting.
Watched and loved your video on Thursday. I have taken the plunge and ordered the quilt kit! Such gorgeous fabrics! Congratulations on Ellie Mae! She is precious.
When my kids sat in church with me, and couldn't write yet, I would tell them to draw what they think the pastor is preaching about. Sometimes they did pretty good. Felt like they might actually pay attention to the sermon if they were purposely listening for what to draw. Other times they just drew a church, or our family or not necessarily what the sermon was about. But, sometimes that was a tall order for a little feller. It kept them entertained and getting a few seeds sewn, anyway.
Just love your videos! There's something for everyone. I'm currently putting my grandmother's last set of blocks into a top. It's bitter sweet. She quilted into her 90s and passed away in 2011.
I'm enjoying all the beautiful quilts while sewing blocks together on this rainy day. Love that you can share more quilting with the addition of new longarm. By the way my pantograph wishlist keeps growing with all the designs you share. 🤣😂
Congratulations on your new, sweet granddaughter! Tammie, I imagine you are familiar with Fancy that Designs Studio. The fabric designer is one of my favorites, and she designs many fabrics with a Christian theme. She also sells stickers, many having Christian themes and some not. I imagine you would find one you love for your laptop. (I think you would find a lot of other things you love, too.) She sells so many wonderful items from her website. Have a wonderful week.
The perfect thing to see first thing in the morning...a video from Tammie showcasing gorgeous quilts from so many talented quilters❣️It's the perfect treat while enjoying a cup of coffee. Oh what a sweet baby. I'm so happy for you and your family.
These are so awesome & beautiful quilts! The quilting is superb. Haha I wanna make alllll of them 😅 😂. Your gransugar is beautiful, Congratulations!!!!! ❤
Love all the info about the quilts and especially the double wedding quilt your family have made and I'm sure Ellie Mae will love to snuggle under it when she's older.
What if you used fabric glue for that lacy edge instead of stitching it down? That swirls and feathers would be nice on the vintage embroidery/linens quilt but I know you will pick the perfect pantograph. I love Kelly's Pathways quilt. Gorgeous!!!! The string quilt is also beautiful. Both are great scrap busters. Love the quilt with the polka dotted background, too. Lots of really pretty ones, today. Finally, glad to see Ellie Mae's finally here. She was a big girl at over 10#. Cute as a bug!
Your handkerchief quilt is gorgeous. With winding your own bobbin, do they sell clear bobbin cases so you could see through them? I love your calm quilt talks. Wishing you a wonderful day. Congratulations on your new granddaughter, Ellie Mae. She is adorable.
So many pretty quilts. The Double Wedding Ring sewn by your Great Grandmother is so pretty. I enjoy hearing your thought process on choosing a quilt design for a particular quilt and why, it has given me something to think about and consider when I take my quilts to my local Long Arm Quilter. Also, I was recently thinking about your embroidered linen project, I am so glad to see it finished ( except quilting). It turned out so pretty and I think I want to do something like that with some of my pillow cases and linens. Mine would be more wall hanging sized. And congratulations on the new sweet grand baby.
You certainly appreciate Primitive Gatherings and Lisa Bongean’s patterns and fabrics. You should try and come to Primitive Gatherings for their Blue and White Quilt show in November. I have attended two of their previous shows and have been amazed.
Awe congratulations on Baby Ellie Mae…she is just precious. Babies just make the world right again. Hope baby and mama are doing well. Such gorgeous quilts this week. I love to hear how you decide which pattern to use. They come out so awesome. Enjoy that new adorable grand baby. Such a blessing. 🤗🤗
I jokingly say, "If I had known that being a grandma was this much fun, I would have started there." Do you a previous video showing how the set up to use pantographs? Thanks for your wonderful videos.
I agree!! I think it’s payment for making it through the children! Grandchildren are a true blessing! I have a Longarm series underneath the Playlist tab. You can see if that helps answer questions. If not, let me know!
I was so happy to see the quilt you are making with the embroidered pillow slips again. I have 12 pair that my grandma made for me for my bridal shower in 1968 and I still have most of them. I get them out thinking I have a plan then put them away. Your quilt top makes sense to me and is just beautiful. I'm going to start to look for the material for the sashing and get this project started. Thank you for all the info in your videos. Congrats on your new granddaughter. I'm wondering if she will be a quilter.
Thank you for a wonderful video. I appreciate all the commentary on the Pantos particularly regarding sizing and other details. I’m wondering what batting you used on the string quilt. I just made one using the Lori Holt interfacing and I’m not sure what batting to use and if it will be too stiff. Any thoughts on that would be appreciated. Thank you!
That string quilt had 100% cotton for batting. Even if your quilt is stiff at first, they become softer with use, handling, washing, etc. I have never had a quilt remain stiff unless it was never used.
Tammie does that old singer on top of your shelves work? It looks so darling up there! I received one last yr for Mother’s Day. I don’t use it often but I love the simplicity and quality of it.
Would like to talk to u about yr longer services. Tried to get to instructions but couldn't. I'm 81 and not techno savy. Would like to know how much and how u price yr quilting. Also I have a candy themed quilt I made a few yrs back but hadn't finished bcuz I don't have a regular quilting room just dining table small. Would love to have u quilt it 4 me but will depend on price. I would have to measure it. Also in center of quilt I drew my favorite chocolates and then wrote around it Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. So no sure if I'd want that part quilted but want yr opinion. How can I reach you? Do u have a p.o. box I could write to? Thanks. I hope u see this among all the others.
Another great show , beautiful quilting. Your family quilts so pretty. I love the quilt with embroidery. Thanks
You are so welcome!
I love Sandy’s quilt. I just ordered the pattern from Primitive Gatherings. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful! It’s a great quilt!

I think so too!
Stunning work ❤

I write in my Bible too. Beautiful grandbaby!
Love it! She’s a gift from God!
Thank you for sharing a wonderful video. ❤ Outstanding quit designs. Wish I had paid more attention in Math. (Oh well). Have a great day.
It’s never too late! 😉
Congrats on your grand baby. She is beautiful. Thats my brothers birthday too
Happy Belated Birthday to him! 🥳
I was wondering if all was well missed your video last week.
All good but something had to give. It was worth spending time with them!
All the quilts…then Ellie Mae😂😂🎉❤❤
She kind of out shines them all!
welcome Beautiful Ellie Mae
