Great test, Would have liked to see how each one hold up after 1 and 3 weeks of daily driving. My personal favorite is Vonixx Revox. Also like Tac Systems Tire Coat which has superb finish, but less durability.
Hey Fretho thank you and thanks for tuning in, I hope Vonixx makes it's way to Canada at some point, seems like a good line. As for the real world driving durability they all suffer when they come in contact with a rainstorm. Just like the lower sides of your vehicle, it needs a wash after driving in the rain. Great video. I have gone to the Darkside. It looks a bit too shiny at first but by the next day it is satin and nice. And it lasts about 2 months for me in Texas, still hydrophobic even at 2 months. Same amount of Retyre would be hundreds of dollars. And the ADS works just as well.
Hey my friend, love reading your experience, thanks for the feedback. Armour tire cleaner is fantastic, im with you, reminds me of Adams Wheels and Tire. Cheers
Great video. I use Adam’s Graphine tire dressing and it works well for me. How do you feel about Gyeon Tire vs Express? I thought Tire was supposed do be similar to Darkside.
Hey Michael thanks for tuning in, I havent had the chance to try Gyeon Tire but you're exactly right it's similar to Darkside and bola tire essence. More durable solvent based tire sealants. I like tire express on a dry tire it's sharp. Cheers
Vonix Revox!! Its a thick gel that gets my big tires really dark and last about a month!! Cool part is its water based and doesn't sling everywhere and is a great price for the 16 oz. I wonder if any of yall have tried it since i havent seen many use it. Peace ✌
Hey man appreciate you tuning in, Vonix isnt established in Canada I have seen their products. I know the name comes a lot, maybe one day, thanks for the recommendation. ✌️

I'm using Autoglym high performance tyre gel. I'm also using Carpro darkside. Hey thank you Mario! Bola T47 is definitely going to add variety in your details as it is a very different product than perl, thicker gel and richer. I'm sure you'll like it. See you next week brother. ✌️
I'm using CarPro DarkSide currently, but thinking of switching. Maybe Perl for its usability on different surfaces, Koch Chemie Tire Glaze for ease of application or Soft99 Tire Black Wax for its matte appearance and included applicator. DarkSide is a bit blotchy/smeary at times.
Hey Rowland KCX Tire glaze is real glossy. If you like really matte tires PERL is good for that at 1;1 and yes I use it on quick plastic trims jobs and to dress beat interior door panels, that fills the scratches good enough and gives pop to cheap interiors. As for the blotchyness I experience it from time to time on Michelin PS4s tires with very flat and smooth sidewall, not so much on other brands of tires. Cheers my friend.
@@BrillianceAutoSpaWhat tire cleaner are you using? I wash my cars at least weekly. All my cars have Darkside on the tires. I use P&S Brake Buster on the wheels prior to starting to wash but I get some overspray on tires. Let it dwell, then spray foam all over (Wheel, tire, wheel well). Then get to cleaning one at a time. I usually still give a light pressure once-around with tire brush on the front surface of each tire. Never had a problem, and the Darkside lasts for 2-3 months
Hey Viper, I wasn't sent Ghost as far as I know. I saw a quick video of it and it looks very mat. I'm a semi-gloss guy, I'd recommend Tire+ it's my current favorite regardless of testing.
I was disappointed with the durability of Adam’s Graphene Tire Dressing so bought Car Pro Dark Side recently and I’m looking forward to using it for the first time. I liked the appearance of all of these tire dressings. I was especially impressed with Bola Solutions because of the rich appearance.
Thank you for taking the time to let me know your experience. The Bola is great for sure I forgot to mention it has Black Ice air freshener scent! cheers
Hey man thanks for asking, seriously the cheap solvent dressing often in Blue colour are pretty nasty, greasy, attract dirt and sometimes sling if over applied. There's talk out there that solvents can make your tire crack but I havent seen this personally. It comes down to quality of solvent or water based ingredients, there's good dressing and bad on both sides of the spectrum. I'd just recommend you to use a reputable brand product not the dirt cheap stuff. Cheers
I line comparison videos….thanks, Frank! I started with Car Guys Tire Shine before discovering Darkside, which I LOVE for durability. It would be great if you could give a follow-up after a few weeks.
@@Detailing_Dogma Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't use IG. On an unrelated subject, when you did your video using BOLA SOLUTION Poly Shield MOD Plastic & Rubber Coating to protect car floor mats, I asked you if it made the floor mats slippery, like Koch-Chemie GUMMIFIX GUF, which I found to be very slippery and somewhat dangerous. You replied that it did not. I finally applied the BOLA SOLUTION product to the floor mats in all my cars, and YOU WERE RIGHT!!! The good news is that the floor mats are not slippery. The bad news is that the mats seem to be a magnet for dirt from the bottoms of my shoes. However, the additional good news is that the floor mats clean VERY easily and look great. Thanks!! I also just applied Gtechniq Smart Fabric I1 V3 to the removable carpets in all my cars, following your suggestion in another video. The hydrophobic properties are amazing! Obviously, I appreciate your advice, so please keep up the good work!
Hey Lenny glad to see you again brother, Bola is fantastic for sure, you can get it at carzilla tinyurl.com/33x39ufu . I dont think TOC will carry it anytime soon it's still a very niche brand for now, maybe down the road if the brand gets massive traction, we'll see.
Another great one Frank! I'm currently using Darkside, and it's fantastic, I love it, it's sooo economical, been using it 6 months and still half a bottle left, I don't need to apply it often as it just sits on my tires a LONG time. Also buying DIY Tire dressing soon :) Cheers bro!
@@havingtoomuchfun4806 That's the second last thing missing from my almost whole lineup of their products (except ceramic coatings, ive got only the 3yr on my shelf) the first one is All clean - a little to much $ for an apc - BH Surfex is super cheap and 5L, but i bet it's also awesome like most of their products. Unfortunately the DIY tire brush is not avalible here in my country (none of the DIY accesories are sadly, only chemicals), im using same small brush as Frank (low profile tires). Im glad that you like DIY too!
Hey Vic seems like a lot of people are using Darkside on this channel! It smells so good I just wish the scent would be a tad stronger as you apply it. Thank you for being here every week my friend! ✌️
@@Detailing_Dogma Yeah i agree about the scent, it could smell a bit stronger, but what i noticed when i come back an hour later i can smell it in my garage a bit :) Bro i'll always be here, you helped me more than you know, keep the great work alive! Cya soon! 😎
Hey my friend, I had PERL already diliute to start off, then PERL is widely used at 1:1 by the enthusiasts and lastly thats the CARPRO recommendation. After years of using it i just found that I prefer the look of PERL at full strength.
My fave is Superior Products Aqua Gloss in a Florasol bottle for pretty even spread & saving product $.. If I want durability I use Turtle Wax Acrylic Graphene tire shine. Both you let it set for 5 minutes before wiping off excess.
I have tried PERL, I was not impressed with durability, but used it 1:1. I try to use American made products, if possible. I also buy by the gallon, and finally I consider the cost. I am currently using a product that cost under $40 (US) a gallon, with good results. They are a manufacturer, which is made in house, a plus! Thanks for the testing.
Hey brother, try PERL at straight you're gonna have a better experience especially on thirsty tires that never maintained but you probably already know this. Of course there's cheaper options out there but if you wanna avoid the greasy donut glaze look this is a good place to start and to be honest a 500ml last forever for the week-end guys. As pro I totally get it my friend. Cheers brother and thank you
Hey Keith, I dont think we'll have a lot of Adam's on the channel , I have a few of their products (gems) that can talk about eventually. thank you for letting me know your favorite ✌️
Frank, good video. I am going to let you know what mix I used. A mix of TW graphene tire shine and wait for it, CG Tire Kicker. The shine is medium and so far has lasted over three weeks so far.🇨🇦👍👍
I love darkside, also regret buying the 1L because even though i use it almost every two-three washes, it just doesn’t go empty and now i can’t try new products sensibly😂
Thanks for that. There's no poor performer and your audience probably enjoys reapplying something fairly regularly anyway. In the uk we have Garage Therapy Tyre Serum. Lovely stuff and comparable to Darkside. Also, some nice editing in your video
Hey Pigeon thank you for your kind words, appreciate the feedback very much. I do re-apply after every wash, the fresh tire like just completes the detail so much. Talk soon.
That’s my way to go!
Tu me laisseras savoir.
I was out of tire shine, so I gave CG Silk Shine out of desperation. I normally use it for interior. To my surprise, it has the best look of ANY tire dressing I've ever used. A couple days later, it looks as though the day I applied it. CG gets A LOT of hate, but they do have a few good products.
Hey Danny those are all my top dressing, I like to switch things up but right now I love Tire+ from Armour. I use a combination of darkside, bola and gyeon a well.
@ hehe, all jokes aside you have really good videos, well put together for someone who just started RUclips. I just watched your video where you talked about starting your channel and can see how you go viral for videos that appeal to the masses outside of professional detailing with that dawn soap video. I was wondering if you could make a video on alcantara cleaning and cleaners and vacuum extractors… also am very interested to see what you think about clear coat restoration like from the brand optimum. I like the idea but it seems risky considering I have found no real complete videos where they really restore something in a professional way. I can’t find a video where they put it on a nice car that isn’t completely worn through the clear coat. Also, they never polish after so I can see if it actually looks nice and some of the hazing people experience disappears or not after polish. Anyway, even if you don’t know anything about that product, I was wondering what advice you could give on judging clear coat health and scratch repair. I wanna polish my car and remove swirls but I am unsure how to judge my clear coat. I have a minor scratch/rub and in another place I have what looks to be some kind of chemical reaction that may have worn through some coat or is it possible that instead something is actually stuck to the clear coat causing a stain on the clear coat. It looks like soap scum/dried on soap or hard water deposits but I can’t get it off by hand so I’m really unsure what I should do.
Great video. I use Adam’s Graphine tire dressing and it works well for me. How do you feel about Gyeon Tire vs Express? I thought Tire was supposed do be similar to Darkside.

DIY tire dressing is my go-to. Perfect gloss.
That's a good one for sure, thank you for letting me know you favorite! ✌️
Great video, I would go with Bola or Dark Side, only because I prefer a slightly shiny tire
Right on Keith, those are in my current top 3 for sure. Cheers my friend and thanks for watching!
Diy won’t disappoint, get the brush as well
@@havingtoomuchfun4806 That's the second last thing missing from my almost whole lineup of their products (except ceramic coatings, ive got only the 3yr on my shelf) the first one is All clean - a little to much $ for an apc - BH Surfex is super cheap and 5L, but i bet it's also awesome like most of their products.
Cya soon! 😎
Thank you for the vid! I’m a huge Perl fan, I am still very not sure about Darkside…
Thank you for watching it John! Perl is so versatile, a classic for sure and Darkside seems to be the people's choice, very hot seller! cheers man ✌️
Tire express is one of my favorite tire dressings, I have some DIY tire lotion but haven't opened it yet
Good choice! Thank you for tuning in! Appreciate your feedback.
Great video, just curious why Pearl was the only one diluted compared to the others at full strength
Hey my friend, I had PERL already diliute to start off, then PERL is widely used at 1:1 by the enthusiasts and lastly thats the CARPRO recommendation. After years of using it i just found that I prefer the look of PERL at full strength.
@@Detailing_Dogma got it, I figured there was a reason why. Thank you
Bola's Plastic & Rubber product is THE BOMB. I'm not surprised their tire product is great.
It is very good indeed, I forgot to mention it has Black Ice air freshener scent! cheers Larry
My fave is Superior Products Aqua Gloss in a Florasol bottle for pretty even spread & saving product $.. If I want durability I use Turtle Wax Acrylic Graphene tire shine.
Both you let it set for 5 minutes before wiping off excess.
Thanks brother, appreciate your feedback very much.
Cheers brother and thank you
No Adam's Graphene Tire Dressing in your review? This is my favorite in term's of cost effectiveness at the moment.
Wow Eric you mad scientist of tire dressing brother. Glad it works well, thanks for letting me know. Cheers
I love darkside, also regret buying the 1L because even though i use it almost every two-three washes, it just doesn’t go empty and now i can’t try new products sensibly😂
Hey my friend, totally get it, been there too 🤣. Now you'll have to detail friends and family. Thanks for tuning in, appreciate you.
Talk soon.
ads Tire+ for sure. but now am picking up the new ads ghost sealant
Thank you Gary, happy to know your favorite! Thanks for watching and ill be looking out for Ghost at some point cheers!
ADS just released their GHOST tire sealant. It lasts much longer and a very good look.
Hey man, yes I've seen it around, looks promising, did you buy it? thanks for tuning in brother.
How do title it best without including Obsessed Garage tire shine?
Of course there's other top choice options out there. Thanks for the feedback.
Highly recommend jescar tire and trim
Hey Thomas thank you for suggesting it, unfortunately Jescar did not answer my request to show case their products. Maybe next time. cheers ✌️
Turtle Wax Graphene Acrylic Tire Shine #1
Thanks for taking the time to let me know and tuning in! cheers ✌️
Get out of the sunlight and come over to the Darkside.
Haha ✌️ Thank you John
Thanks Frank 😁👍
Thank you for tuning in as usual Dave! Appreciate you
Salut Franck ! That’s my way to go!
Tu me laisseras savoir.
Koch chemie plast star is what I like
Superb, thank you for letting me know and thanks for tuning in. ✌️
Diy is my favourite.
It's a good one for sure, thanks for the feedback, appreciate it.
I'd like to see Exoforma Permashine in some of these comparisons. I'm on the same 8oz bottle I bought in Nov. 2022. Check it out.
Hey Jeff theres a couple brands i wouldnt give money and Exoforma is one them! Hopefully we can get you to use the good stuff here. cheers brother!
Thanks for the feedback my friend, you're right CG is usually considered as beginner products but they have a few gems. Cheers
I drive my car on some pieces of smooth wood so I can apply the dressing everywhere and not accidentally pick up dirt from the ground.
Good tip thank you for the feedback. I dont go to that extend but thumbs up for doing it brother!
What’s your favorite tire dressing Frank?
Hey Danny those are all my top dressing, I like to switch things up but right now I love Tire+ from Armour. I use a combination of darkside, bola and gyeon a well.
Did you not like Perl?
On a thirsty tire not so much at 1:1. Full strength looks better. I tend to prefer semi-gloss tires as they dry up after driving. Cheers ✌️
You forgot Adams Graphene tire dressing
my memory must be bad then!
Just throw the wheels in the pool to clean them? Good idea?
Gotta keep the pool clean too brother! Cheers thanks for choosing to watch my videos
DiY is top quality
Thanks for your feedback!
Darkside
awesome thanks for watching
First!!!!
✌️✌️
Booo, along comes a GHOST.
It's gonna be hard to beat Tire+ ! Maybe we'll have Ghost at some point but I did not get it. thanks for watching my friend. ✌️
Gyeon tire for me & my cars.👌
This is great, it's similar to Bola Tire essence and darkside for sure. Thank you ✌️
Great video. I use Adam’s Graphine tire dressing and it works well for me. How do you feel about Gyeon Tire vs Express? I thought Tire was supposed do be similar to Darkside.
