I think the test setup is right, to test cleaning power you need use low pressure rinse and without agitation. With agitation I think all will work well, and you’ll never know which is most powerful.

Why isn’t Adam’s in the mix? It’s literally one of the best.
Yup. I used Adams yesterday and to my surprise it worked exceptionally well.
I think Frank mentioned just testing color changing products.
He didn’t use the acid…and we know how powerful those are.
Adams its not perfectly wheel cleaner because don't have Iron Remover. Without Iron Remover they will never be 100% clean.
Hey Crayon, I added it in the 2 round since i ran out of KCX MGW but like others said Adams isnt a Iron remover type wheel cleaner this is why I tried to keep comparable products in this test. To be Frank I didnt include it in the Edit but I finished one wheel with brush and Adams and it did a good job but Acid is what this level of nastiness required. Thanks for watching!

Definitely did well on the wheels.
I like to start with a wheel cleaner or APC first for the dirt.
Then iron remover.
But these products definitely have power.

I have an 11 litre barrel of Koch Chemie's 'Fb Felgen-Blitz', which works the same as Mwc. Phenomenal rust remover, it cleans off everything. It's good on chassis and suspension components too.

Good comparison. My rims got covered bad in thick brake dust when I let my pads get a little to worn out. The apc I have didn't get it all out and I have to try something stronger

@Detailing_Dogma is a wheel cleaner stronger than a wheel cleaner with the iron remover tech. in it? Is there a pro or con to how either of these products work?
@@lennypalumbo7739 without the iron remover generally high ph like Adams or brake buster cant remove embedded brake dust or gold or yellowish stains from brake dust on silver wheels for example. It's like the bumps contamination on your paint. High PH are glorified degreasers basically. They are good can get you far but sometimes Acid or Iron remover are required, I use to maintain every so often. cheers
I hate to admit it but the inside of my truck wheels haven’t been cleaned in a few years, the wheel design really doesn’t let you get in with a wheel brush, great video Frank 😁👍

@@Detailing_Dogma I use the Bilt hamber Iron remover and it works incredibly well. I wonder how it compares to Gyeon iron remover Redfefined and DIY Iron remover.
Any dilution to the Adam's wheel and tire cleaner? Anyone have recommendations for it? Like 1:4 or 1:6?
I use it straight and keep it for the neglected stuff. I dont recommend it for regular maintenance. You could play with the dilution but I never did. ✌️✌️

Polished Aluminum I'd be use the Degreaser type, high ph stuff like Adams. Anything below neutral is gonna ruin the aluminium and will need polishing.

My two favorite non-iron remover wheel cleaners are Adams and Turtle Wax Hyper Foam. For iron remover wheel cleaners, I only have experience with Adams Wheel Cleaner, Meguiar's Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner and Nanoskin Iron Free. They all perform admirably. Nothing like the Meguiar's Wheel Brightener though when they are totally trashed like the ones you did in this video.

However, I'm using now P&S Brake Buster and it work good also. For extra iron cleaning, I'm using P&S Iron Buster at the beginning. Keep up the good work. Frank!!

Good testing! Really nice job, definitely gyeon is the winner! I personally use K2 ROTON PRO iron remover, really concentrated product but you can smell it from far away!

Et comme tu montres le fonctionnement des produits en action en vrai, sans bullshit, ça nous donne une meilleure idée de leur power et ça nous guide dans ce que l’on veut acheter. Real world detailling, no crap c’est parfait.
Y serais tu possible de faire une vidéo qui montrerait en real time comment on doit utiliser de l’acid cleaner sur des roues? J’en ai jamais fait et ça m’intrigues beaucoup

Great video. To add some fairness, the front wheels are subjected to more heat and more dust baking it on the paint surface. The rear wheels mostly clean up way better.....this could have affected the results.
However, I have used Adam's and Gyeon iron wheel cleaner, and those two are my favourite for cleaning power. Adam's is far too aggressive for me as my wheel are never coated with baked on dust. So I rarely ever need it- its too good. Gyeon is the same but more lubritious and its more enjoyable to use plus the iron remover makes the difference to make your wheels feel even cleaner. Gyeon is extremely lubritious, very high level of cleaning surfactants, the iron remover works very well to remove those embedded iron particles stuck in the clear coat and the overall finish looks clean and leaves the surface brighter and cleaner even when you've missed a bit the chemistry still manages to clean up where you might have missed. That is my favourite wheel cleaner by far. I'm likely to buy this in bulk if they do the revision in a bigger size. I've used many brands before and nothing gets close
Hey brother, I get your point, here in Quebec we switch and rotate tires and wheel twice a year, winter tire are mandatory by law, so those have been rotated for the last 12 years.

@Detailing_Dogma Well, that's something I didn't know. Usually, here nobody bothers to rotate wheels, so we end up with front wheels that age more. Great stuff!
Is there a reason you’re using a garden hose instead of pressure washer?
Hey Neil, thanks for choosing to watch my video, first I wanted the products to get the most credit for any improvement on the wheels, I did not want to pre-rinse the wheels either. The pressure washer is not going to improve the results by much and is super loud for the video production. In future test we can include and combine tools for sure but in this one this is how I planned it to showcase the power of the wheel cleaners. Keep in the mind I have only one attempt at those tests, I dont have unlimited amount of wheels lined-up.

@@Detailing_Dogma clean and shiny, in2detailing, Sam's detailing, all spring to mind. Not all carry all brands and all products. Only certain ones have DIY and ADS for example. I'm sure it's the same over your way.

Definitely missed out on comparing dark fury in here. Best bang for buck wheel cleaner. For nasty wheels acid is the best. P&S brake buster for "safe wheels"

Of the products you featured, I would choose the ADAMS. But I am currently testing a product from Superior Products called 'DARK FURY'. It cost less than ADAMS. DARK FURY is available at O'Reilly's in the STATES, $28 PER GALLON & is highly diluteable. I am NOT saying it is better than ADAMS, but it is worth a look...
Boss, I’ve been looking at Dark Fury hard! I use Formula 4 spray wax as a drying aid and has been working for me.
I recently tried Dark Fury against my usual of P&S brake Buster and it hasn't been a better cleaner for my wheels. I find it takes multiple applications and brushings with Dark Fury to get the same results as 1 application and brushing of brake Buster. I do like how good it is at getting bugs off the front bumper and side mirrors. So now Dark Fury has become my bug remover.

You must have got a really good batch. Unfortunately I’ve never had success with brake buster.
Brake buster has been a good wheel maintenance product in my experience. It doesn't have the punch for really bad wheels
Hey my friend Turbo, Adam's is in the same category of P&S brake buster but way stronger, I tend to rely more on Adams for those. P&S is not really suited for a baked brake dust barrel like this. Be on the look out for few next videos there's gonna bonus footage on those wheels.

Et à savoir que l'acide enlève "minéraux "Road film poussières de freins et pas vraiment la graisse comme un vrai bon dégraisseur base d'eau genre super clean où hot shot p&s dégraisseur concentré!

On aura un autre wheel cleaner video bientot sur quelque chose de plus brake dust seulement alors resté a l'affut. 100% agreed. That's why I have a straight iron remover(turtle wax) and and an alkaline wheel cleaner(Adams). I can use each or both fr whatever type of grime I come across.

What are you all talking about? Gyeon’s wheel cleaner is the worst smelling product I have ever used in my entire life. There nothing on earth that smells worst than this! It went straight to the garbage.
