Terror Vision always seem to pull me in lately. Their first 4K was MALUM which was excellent. I will be grabbing a few of these new announcements. Nice video
I agree. I love them! I still need to grab some of their other releases. I also need to make sure I keep an extra eye out on their announcements for future videos.
Ordered Nail Gun Massacre right away. I wasn't really interested in any of these other films but I'm so glad the people at Terror Vision are keeping these forgotten slashers alive. I feel like we have been getting less and less slasher announcements lately
I agree so much! These companies are keeping physical media alive and are finding films that could disappear without someone restoring them.
I don't know anything about these films, but I sure am glad they are restoring them and keeping them from never being seen again.
Same here. I love that there are still so many films I never even heard of and they are getting restored and released so we can see them. It always freaks me out when I hear of a film that is so close to practically being gone for good. These companies are literally saving films.
@RichardDiaz I say it all the time, but we really are living in the greatest era of physical media at the time
So true! As amazing as it was back at the height of DVD (and it was glorious) we still weren't getting the quality of releases we are getting now. With more and more movies being licensed and restored by independent companies we are getting more love and respect for the films themselves. The movies I talked about today, I don't think I know of half of them but they are receiving so much respect and attention from both companies to release them right. I love that!

Such a great film! One of his best performances. In order to cut the running time I did edit out a little bit of me talking about the film but it is one I will be picking up for sure.
One of those smaller companies is Celluloid Dreams. Their first release will be “The Case of the Bloody Iris” for the first time in 4K. A exclusive slipcover version is available if you order directly from their website.

Hi Richard, Just so your info is correct Nail Gun Massacre will be Terror Vision's 3rd 4K Ultra HD release. They had Malum and When The Screaming Starts. Both really great movies on 4K. Terror Vision has been coming on strong your friend The Boogeyman from The Boogeyman's Closet!

Repossessed looks like fun. The Get Away ❓ Maybe 🤔 Snuff business himmm🧐 I have heard of any of these except the Leslie/Blair movie. Old Kung Fu Master sounds good. That old man is in a lot of movies and is badass ‼️‼️😎
I haven't seen Repossessed since I was a kid but I remember it being really funny. I think that is part of the fun of some of these more unknown releases these companies are doing is seeing films I either have never heard of or ones that have been so hard to find for so long. And I am really thankful they are saving that Old Kung Fu Master film from disappearing.

It does come with the Blu-ray but you saw that by now from your other post. But it's all good. I easily miss stuff even on my own videos where I'm like, "Did I mention that part or not?" And actually have to go back and check the edit. lol

Hi Richard, I'm most interested in An Old Kung Fu Master and the Nail Gun 4K. Satanik looks pretty good as well though. Random question, but do you have any vinyl soundtracks? I'm interested in those too. I'm tempted to get the bundle with all four films. I do have some vinyl records. I don't have a lot and am not an avid collector but I do have a few from when I was a kid (luckily) and more recently I have been getting some soundtrack LP's of some of my favorites. A lot of John Carpenter albums especially. How about you? Do you collect a lot of LPs?
@@RichardDiaz That is very cool. I don't have a lot as I just kind of pick one up every once in a while. I do have the small 7" vinyl from that Halloween 3 bundle Scream Factory put out. Also have things like Monster Squad from Terror Vision, The IT soundtrack and one from Hausu/House. I try and stick to things I really love or find extremely interesting. Can't let it get as crazy as collecting movies 😅
Very nice! That's basically what I do too. I mainly buy CD's for my music but I will buy certain LPs. As far as recent releases go I did get the Dawn Of The Dead LP of the library music. The John Carpenter Anthology Volume II. One more that I'm blanking on. Last year (or was it in 2022?) I found an original LP release from 1982 of Halloween III which I was so happy to get. A bit pricey but one I wanted.

Oh wow! I didn't even realize it. I don't know why I was thinking volume 3. Or was volume 3 the newer one with Starman? I need to double check. My mind is super scattered today.
I really don’t get why everyone thinks Volume 3 is so thin. From Here to Eternity, The Last Picture Show, It Happened One Night-these are absolute top-tier classics. Annie and To Sir With Love are a lot of fun.
(As Good As It Gets fills the “meh” 90s slot along with A League of Their Own, Jerry Maguire, and Sleepless in Seattle.)
I like Volume 3 but compared to Volume 2 (which I thought was Volume 3 in the video lol) it's just different from my own tastes. But I agree that there are amazing films in Volume 3. So many classic films that I am so happy are now in 4K.

I literally was going to cover the Criterion stuff but I already had so much for this video. I try and keep these at a decent length and decided to keep it more horror based. But yes, I am totally excited for Risky Business in 4K! I love that film. I even rewatched it just a few months ago in fact.
I'm so glad Taxi Driver is finally getting a 4K stand alone release, I couldn't justify buying that Columbia set just to get that one movie.
The sets are fun and kind of cool but they really need to release the films on their own within a decent time frame. There are still films from the first set that haven't been released yet.
What's massacre video a new independent company releasing more cult films. Why can't we get a new blu ray released of dawn of the dead 70s.
Dawn Of The Dead is under control of its producer and to my understanding is asking a huge amount for a video release here in the US. The UK release is currently the only (but also best) option from Second Sight especially if you have a 4K player. I'm hoping with the success of the theatrical run from two years ago with the 3D version and the current run in different theaters across the US throughout the year for its anniversary that he will be more open to finally having a proper US video release. Really all we need is the Second Sight release just for Region A.
As usual after these, very good, updates, my wallet runs away trying to hide shivering in the dsrk. Lol

Cheers Alfonso! You are not kidding. I am trying to balance out some of my spending so I can grab these. It's not easy. lol And I agree so much on the love and effort they put into the releases. These companies are seriously keeping physical media alive but also saving films from disappearing. They get my full respect.

Was fun and there was a bit of Creepshow and the trust that George Romero had from Stephen King in there. In case you have not seen. I know you adore Creepshow even more than me. 😊
This is a long shot but do you happen to know anything about the release of Trick or Treat? Frankly, I'm so tired of Synapse announcing movies literally years before there are ready for purchase. No other company does that. I know Red Shirt is doing the restoration but Synapse is supposedly releasing it. I can't get any real info out of them. I wish they would just stop this nonsense because it makes them look bad in my opinion. Why announce movies before they are near ready to go? It's baffling. Sorry for the mini rant. Any idea what's going on?
No problem at all and I get the frustration. The last I heard they were doing a full restoration which became a lot more time consuming than expected and I think (though I am not 100% sure) they were clearing some of the music rights. That is one I am super excited for so any news on it at all and I am all over it and will mention it in a video. Hopefully we get some more information soon.

Can’t stand Val Kilmer, I’ve heard he’s a jerk and, I think, a lame actor. Death and the Maiden was a good movie. Never heard of any of the other titles.
I've heard mixed things with him. I think there was a period where his ego got huge and he became difficult but as he got older, and especially with his health issues, he became a lot more humble.

Many thanks Richard. Thunderheart was excellent. For a time it was all over cable and tv. Great performances. I enjoyed Snake Eyes, especially the long uncut opening shot. I've not seen any of the smaller films. I heard Target is dropping physical media. They put out a statement saying they'll keep some items (stuff that always sells). I picked up some French gangster films from Kino Lorber's sale. I hope you have an excellent weekend!

Definitely makes these places like DiabolikDVD and Grindhouse Video, and other places, plus the distributors themselves, all the more important for us to order from them as they might be our only sources soon.
@@RichardDiaz Agreed! I might pick up something from Arrow video. Their sale ends Monday. I'd also like to grab a couple of things while sales are still going on. lol Sadly it's getting that way. The small boutiques and Amazon are the main supporters of physical media.
I forgot about the Arrow sale. I better look before than ends. Thanks for the reminder! It does seem like the only places I order movies from now outside of the labels themselves are DiabolikDVD and Amazon.

Now that Risky Business is getting the Criterion treatment, I wonder if Paul Brickman’s other movie, Men Don’t Leave, will finally get some attention.
It might be the single most underrated movie of the 1990s. It’s got brilliant Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates performances, and the career-best performances of Chris O’Donnell, Joan Cusack, Arliss Howard and Charlie Korsmo.
AND it’s got the best musical score Thomas Newman ever wrote. And apart from all of that, it’s just a beautiful movie. I’ve never understood how Men Don’t Leave didn’t find its audience.
It could get a proper release especially with Warner Bros licensing more of their titles out to other labels for release. Hopefully it does get a nice release. Like you said, with that cast I'm surprised it hasn't received as much attention. Especially when Jessica Lange had a bit of a resurgence with her work on American Horror Story.
