I'm surprised Seven Samurai is getting a new restoration. I'm pretty sure the current Criterion blu is from a 4K scan.

@@RichardDiaz oh yah - grab Vol 2 while it is on sale .... according to the Arrow folks they said Vol 3 will have a shorter print run so I wonder if it'll actually 'sell out'
Definitely buying the Bill & Ted box set. Definitely buying Poltergeist II; but waiting for a sale for both.
I miss the days when Arrow would release really cool horror films. It seems they have abandoned this. I am excited for Poltergeist 2 because I didn't get the Scream Factory Blu-ray
Poltergeist II isn't a great movie, but it's kind of fun. It's worth it for the old man and the worm scene!
What bugs me is that Scream Factory dropped the Hammer releases. There are another 20 titles in the horror cycle. Hopefully they pick these back up.
Too busy re releasing movies on 4k, and even another release on to Steelbook it's getting very annoying

Man, Scream/Shout Factory SUCKS ! All they do is re-re-re-release the same movies over and over! Does the world really need another edition of Dragonheart or Hackers?? Especially when they have an entire library of Roger Corman movies they never bothered to put out once? Especially when they completely skipped Slumber Party Massacre 3 in their 4K set with the first two??
Not only that, but it seems like they don't even bother with new supplementals for the re-releases. For example, the stuff that was on Killer Klowns is from the original MGM DVD from over 20 years ago!
Sorry. Had to vent. They've been pissing me off so often. I'd tell them directly, but they always, always, always ignore my e-mails and tweets. The company is so shitty, I make it a point NOT to buy anything from them, unless it's something I really want. And I'm sure as hell not paying an extra $75 for their stupid pins.
Fuck Scream Factory.
What's even more annoying is that they re release on 4k, but then a couple months later re release the same 4k but on Steelbook. Why not do them at the same time? And even better, bring more unreleased movies to Blu ray and 4k. Like the hammer films
Where's Pee Wee's big adventure on 4k??? That's what I want day one pick-up for me.
I am really surprised we haven't gotten that one yet in 4K. I would buy that day one as well. Although next year is its 40th anniversary so maybe then.
On Twitter, James Flower revealed there would be commentaries on every film in Shawscope 3 but they haven't locked down the participants yet. That's one of the reasons the extras haven't been fully announced yet.
Good to know! I figured there was still a lot happening there since they usually have the extras locked in when they announce a title but since it's not due out until November then it makes sense. Though I am wondering why it is up for pre-order so early. Either way I am looking forward to it.

I'm happy about Poltergeist II on 4K, it's not as good as the first but I really like it, especially the performance of the actor who played Kane.
Really hope Scream Factory goes back to making new releases. Last movies I got was Night of the Demons 2 and 3. Before that it was almost a year or two without buying anything new except for Dog Soldiers and Black Christmas on 4k.
It turns out that my Shout 4K sale order wasn't just taking an inordinate amount of time. Without sending any notification or anything, nor even issuing a refund until I brought it up, they canceled the order the day it was placed...and then the order amount was drafted the day after that. Just one among endless examples of the morally bankrupt s hit among us being so narcissistic/psychopathic as to consider their infinite wrong right, resulting in the most audaciously unjustifiable actions.

I have been noticing a lot of prices going up on a lot of releases which is concerning. I guess inevitable but still concerning. I definitely have the AC on right now. lol I hope you have a great weekend too!

This one surprised me but in a good way. Happy to get it in 4K. Hopefully more Chuck Norris films get 4K upgrades too. Already have Invasion USA from Vinegar Syndrome. Would love ones like Code Of Silence.
I just sold my Poltergeist 2 Blu-ray on eBay to get it on 4K. I am so stoked for that release. The thing that concerns me is why we did not also get the release for Poltergeist 3 4K? Hopefully, scream factory can still release it at some point, and they didn't lose the rights to Kino. I'm also excited for Death to Smoochy, although I have to say I don't understand why they didn't just do that in 4k? I think it would have looked awesome. I will order that, Delta Force and Bill, and Ted at some point. Poltergeist 2 was the only one that I ordered from Scream Factory. I want that poster to go with the Blu-ray poster.
I got my pre-order in for Poltergeist 2 as well. I'm also surprised they didn't do a 4K of 3. Maybe they are waiting to see if 2 sells well or it could be a rights issue. With MGM titles it seems like licensing rights are all over the place with all of the different companies. Great on one end since we are getting so many films that are long overdo for nice releases. At the same time it does feel like a few fall through the cracks a bit.

I really do want to grow my channel which is why once my schedule changes I'm hoping I can actually do more videos on a regular basis and also do more variety (reviews, movie theme videos, etc.). But I also don't want to lose that smaller community. As much as it would be nice to be a big channel it also means a lot of the personal one on one interactions disappear. I don't want that. I might be slow at responding to comments, especially lately, but I do love being able to talk to everyone. There has to be a happy medium in there which I'd like to find.
@@RichardDiaz I asked because big channels like Mid-Level Media and Disc-Connected do interviews or round tables with other collectors. Unless, you would prefer me to mind my own business, I will nominate you to them. 😂 That could up your subscriptions.
