- In this video we have Dr. Mike Israetel taking about hypertrophy training and giving you guys some RP nutrition tips. We have been working together for the last several months while hes been helping me with my strength training programming and also I've been using the Renaissance periodization app to help me with my nutrition and eating to lose weight and be an absolute beast. As a strongman trying bodybuilding I've really been enjoying this bodybuilding style training and I know it's going to help me with strongman as I come back to training specifically for that sport.

We try to keep it nice and simple
holy shit i found fitting 30 minutes of yoga into my week days helped my recovery so much.
It does a little for muscle tension and flexibilty. But it makes a massive difference to my mental state to chill out and focus on breathing and balance for 30 minutes

I really loved the answer to the 'Should you do more cardio for weight loss' question, such a refreshing take!
I weight train, eat in a deficit...but I'm an artist so a productive day often means I've been sat in front of a laptop for 10 hours.
So i'd personally opt for extra cardio rather than a more restrictive diet, also jogging is such a positive for my mental health. ^.^
...no one cares but it's an extra comment for the algorithm :D

Aha, he said it! Mike said "building muscle and losing fat at the same time". I remember watching one of his videos where he said lean bulking was a myth, and I remember being so disappointed with that because I knew he was wrong...but he redeemed himself!

I think doing absolutely nothing, helps ZERO! I usually do on my off days 20 minutes light walk and 2 sets of 20-30 reps of band work on basically every muscle group makes me feel great. When I am relaxed, doing absolutely nothing, I stay sore. When I do what I mentioned above, my soreness goes away quick

People shouldn’t judge Mike by that exchange. I did and that and then watched some of his videos. Couldn’t have been more wrong. Mike has the best and most complete fitness and training videos on RUclips bar none. The guys knows his shit, has a good sense of humor but suffers no fools. It is possible to be both a fan of Dr. Mike and Coach Greg.
