    Thats some tasty lookin grub right there! Solid advice about treating food as fuel. I'm a "hard gainer", I have to eat uncomfortable amounts of food just to get enough calories to maintain/bulk. Things got WEIRD when I was doing the keto diet haha I'm talking like shots of olive oil, half a stick of butter and a bag of beef jerky!

      Micah Pezdirtz haha I attempted keto man but I was doing it wrong honestly if I ever do it again I will make some big changes!!!

    Why don't you you eat carbs in the AM prior to workouts?

    Excellent video. A real pro in every aspect! I am just curious about the homemade protein bars coz there are thousand of recipes on the net and not a way to judge them. And it would be the only thing I can prepare myself for the week!!

    I've seen a few guys eat like this but you are already pretty massive. Would you still recommend this for a beginner/intermediate who is trying to put on size and get stronger but doesn't want to put on fat? Or is it the "bulk up and then cut down" plan?

    • @steelwizard4702
      @steelwizard4702 7 лет назад +1

      nmarchbank Not sure if you found an answer but like Alan Thrall says, you can't squat 400 pounds and have shredded abs. If you want to get stronger then you're going to need to put on weight. With a good training program and by eating simple staple foods like eggs, oatmeal, spinach, chicken, rice and not any sugary shit you should build a lot of muscle along with fat

      I agree with the above statement

    Great video! I'm really working on my strength and wonder if I should take fish oil like you do. I have never done it before and actually don't know the benefits of it. I also wonder if it's necessary to eat carbs after your workout? I take a post workout shake(water+protein) and an hour after that I eat chicken or a can of tuna. I do like to carb up before my workout. Maybe I'm asking too much questions but I thought I give it a shot. Good quality channel, keep it up and nice tattoos btw!

      lucas messiaen if your lifting a lot I would recommend fish oil for sure! Great source of fat and good for your heart! I like taking carbs after I train to refuel my body and it just works for me well!

    What is the benefit of that coffee may i ask more energy or something,i drink just regular and bitter :S

    • @SzatStrength
      @SzatStrength  7 лет назад +2

      Mert Domaniç coffee has MCT oil in it which helps boost brain function! Your brain runs off of fat so first thing in the AM keeps you mentally running good and energy levels up!

    I just don't get the butter in coffee thing... makes zero sense to me at all... butter has zero health benefits whatsoever.. it's just solid fat...

    • @SzatStrength
      @SzatStrength  7 лет назад +1

      Adam Waddington high fat in the morning helps brain function that's why I do it. Check out MCT oil.

    • @AdamIsMyNameO
      @AdamIsMyNameO 7 лет назад +1

      Helps with brain function?? I have zero/heard zero scientific studies suggesting this. Can you provide a link to a medical study? But that wasn't really my point.. my point was more, if you're going to eat the fat, why would DRINK melted butter in your coffee?? Why not have a handful of walnuts or something that actually has health benefits?
      Butter literally has zero...

      fat is very good for strenght, he does what works for him, that doesnt mean it will work for everyone

    • @AdamIsMyNameO
      @AdamIsMyNameO 6 лет назад +1

      "Fat is good for strength" is a silly thing to say. You need fat to live, obviously, but saturated fat from butter has zero benefit and you'd be better putting your calories somewhere that actually helps build muscle, like carbs or protein. There is ZERO scientific backing for 'bulletproof' coffee.

    • @icecold3426
      @icecold3426 6 лет назад

      i told you what top strenght athletes say. im rather listening to them than any study, experience over theory mate, strenght is not made in front of computer

    Hey I've just recently started watching your videos and you seem like an open minded guy. I'm 17 and last year I lost over 70lbs by going vegan and have been making great strength gains. Just thought you might enjoy looking into the diet and the science supporting it. Thanks have a good one.

    • @SzatStrength
      @SzatStrength  7 лет назад +2

      That is something that is very interesting to me!! I think I will give it a try sometime full go and see my results! I'm slowly weening my way to a lot more organic, tons more veggies, and just slowly cutting crap out more and more!

    • @jacobb6251
      @jacobb6251 7 лет назад +2

      My strength gains are probably because I'm still a new lifter and have only been seriously powerlifting for about a year but I have noticed that I recover from hard lifts much faster than my friends who follow a standard American diet.

    You seem like a nice guy but there's far more to food that just building muscle. Your channel is going to blow up so I'd recommend watching forks over knives, cowspiracy, and earthlings. You will be changing many lives as you reach more people, hopefully you will keep an open mind.

    That’s a lot of animal derived products you are consuming. You’re young so you can whether with it just now but I assure you in the years to come your body will suffer. Your viewers should know this. I have been plant based and my recovery is great and all should benefit by omitting animal flesh.

    • @areallytallguy
      @areallytallguy 4 года назад +1

      you're a fucking moron. there's no studies that actually back what you're saying. if anything, all the studies point to having both meat and plants in your diet is the most beneficial.

    • @omarflores108
      @omarflores108 3 года назад

      Somebody watched Game Changers and drank the cool-aide. I’ve never felt worst in my life than when I was on a plant based diet, pure BS.
