This guy, being a self taught technician, is doing brilliant work on these high end cars.
Im a BMW master tech here in the US,
and i am very impressed at the work he does on these cars that look like a tin can ran over and kicked around for a week.
Most of these cars look like they came from a "SuperCar Destruction Derby."

I watch every video on both of Mat's channels. He is humble, one of the nicest and giving people on RUclips, in the car world anyway. His vlogs are entertaining, and it's amazing to see what he can do with such destroyed cars. I understand why Adam wants to move on from the car as he has mentioned it in a video I have seen, but I would have loved for him to take a drive in it to close the door on a bad experience, Mat turned lemons into lemon aid for that car and Adam should drink that shit up.
I get the feeling that AdamLZ feels some type of way because even when he mentions Mat he referred to him as a RUclipsr he heard is fixing the Gt3...either way I'm glad for Mat and the team 🥳
Unfortunately Adam isn’t as humble or as accepting of other people being successful. I find him quite arrogant. He’s not particularly accepting of Jimmy Oakes either who is another amazingly humble person

I think the Porsche Collab was probably one of the best Collabs on RUclips. Matt and Freddie was an awesome team but it’s also cool to see mats dad and wife help them out all the time. Really cool!

He’s the final customer and went to the country to buy it, at that point it’s like bringing your clothes through customs. You wouldn’t pay import costs on a vacation souvenir.

legend has it, Adam's nuts never descended down into his sack after the crash. he's a douchebag for not wanting to be part of this rebuild. he's always been sensitive AF, but the amount of work that went into this car from someone across the pond deserves the appreciation. it's not always about him.

I think Porsche not selling some part in the US has to do more with right to repair laws more than anything else. In the EU they are probably requierd by law to sell you any part of the car. There are no such laws in the US.
its a bit of both there a big thing in states with the farmers fighting for right to repair in the end it comes down to money the manufactures spends millions on lobbyists to make sure right to repair don't happen in the states, as the manufacture's makes huge money by holding a monopoly on the repairs, where in the UK and EU we have the right to repair by law so we can just go get any of the parts

I had a feeling Adam didn't want anything to do with that car after the crash. Would have been really great for him to try and make it out to see the end result and congratulate you on your work. Plus the fans would have been happy.

Love Mat's positive attitude in his videos. I first heard about him from Life of Palos and started watching him the last couple months. Great videos amd he is always positive, even when something bad happens. He is very entertaining to watch and worth it of you like channels like Vehcor oe South Main Auto

Mat Armstrong, Grant, Jimmy Oakes, Tavarish….. all incredibly humble and amazing people who warm your soul to watch…. AdamLZ I find quite arrogant these days, threatened by the success of others rather than encouraging their success. Watching Jimmy and Grant having so much fun in Japan, then Adam clearly unhappy about their close friendship wanting Grants attention for himself and pushing Jimmy aside instead of including him. Shame as Adam has great opportunity to support them all in their success together.
Nothing better ever said. I was never a Porsche fan and then I drove one. There is just something so special about them.
I find it a bit selfish and childish for Adam to not want to see the car after all the work Matt put into it. He should congratulate him for doing something he wasn’t willing to.
Nasty crashes can fuck with people. That car probably just brought back memories he'd rather not relive. I'm not gonna put someone down for that. Maybe he'll come around in time to see it who knows. I lost traction in the rain, and went off a steep embankment. Luckily it wasn't a sheer drop and didn't roll the car. Imagine getting nearly run off the road by some dumbass in F-150 in your little Porshe off a steep embankment like Adam and his gf was. He was lucky the F-150 hit the quarter panel and not directly in the side.

This story makes Adam lz sound like a real dick if they asked to him to see the car after it was fixed but this guy is sooo much better than the Ben Stein guy from yesterday
I think it's more that the crash came close to being much worse. A pickup on the wrong side of the road wiped out the car with his gf in the passenger seat at the top of a pretty steep hill...
That said it'd be nice if he put his big boy panties on did a colab, but I can respect why he might not want to. On a lighter note, he really liked that car, and now she's with someone else.
@@owensparks5013 I lost my favorite car to a wreck to with my girlfriend who now my wife in the passenger seat to some drunk trash balls driving in reverse in the middle of the street going up a hill I had no Idea that at the top of the hill is where we hit. He didn't have insurance I sold the car to a friend's cousin he showed up 15 months later driving it he made it what I wanted to with it but I couldn't have been more happy he fixed it and still own it today

@Nicholas Douglas my sister was in a severe car accident when we were teens. A blizzard hit the area before she got home, an SUV lost control and hit the car she was in. If she had a seat belt on she'd be dead (this was before seatbelts became law for everyone in the vehicle)every time she sees a car like she was in or the suv that hit her she'd get extremely distraught. I've had close calls as well but they didn't affect me at all, we all handle experiences differently. Having someone in the passenger seat you love will definitely make you look at things differently. A split second later and that truck could have hit his door instead of the bumper and sent him off the top of that hill

Not really, as long as he was fixing the car to sell it you normally buy parts tax exempt anyway as the sales tax is collected at time of sale on the complete vehicle. It could end up being a hassle for him to explain if it wasn't done with a tax id number and whatever else but nothing would come of it unless he was receiving the parts as a retail consumer, which he obviously is not.
IKR. Someone jealous/ill-willed can/might give Mat a hard time by invoking some "technicality", use the videos as evidence and he'd be sued and required to get a lawyer. Even if he proves his innocence, he'd already would've spent money for the dumbass case.
But that's just my anxiety talking. Then again, America can be crazy.😅

cost about about $30,000 or £24,000 to ship a car across the pond from the states DDE just did it so there be little mark-up from importing broken ones to the uk and also super and hyper cars are lot cheaper in the UK than the USA

On top of all the great things that have already been said about Mat, I really want to take the opportunity to reiterate that the laws that prevent consumers from buying parts directly from a manufacturer because they aren't "certified shops" echoes one of many things we hear every time we begin a discussion for the right to repair. In some instances, you may choose to purchase aftermarket, and that's your choice; you should have the freedom to make that decision.
Cars are much better off than farm equipment and tech items like phones, hardware/appliances since we can still take them to any shops we want, but it would be nice to see people be able to buy parts directly for themselves as the end consumer.
I suspect he didn't go through the "anything to declare" channel at arrivals in the US. 🤣

I live in Blount County Tennessee I learned how to REALLY drive on The Dragon.

The "no structural parts" sounds like Porsche USA policy not law.
You mentioned a law that you can't buy structural parts. That's a Porsche Cars North America rule. There isn't a US law that prohibits buying structural parts.
I live like 30 minutes away from the tail of the dragon been on it so many times it is a pretty road but it's got some crazy corners
You know how to maybe "drive away" when stopped by CHP in CA? Above the signature line "TRANSFER TO COUNTY SEAT". This only applies to CHP and almost 90% have never heard of it, but it is in their training. Now rather than putting the ticket to the nearest courtroom of the CHP it goes to the County seat maybe five times from the actual car stop. Often times even for speeding (Highway 5 etc) the CHP will just let the driver go with a warning as it is a inconvenience to treck to where the ticket actual goes on a court docket. It is juts not worth it to them often times, Try it NOTHING can happen to the driver. They did after all sign the promise to appear.
I literally have 0 interest in cars, but love watching Matt's channel and him working with his Dad.
FYI, there are no laws in the US, anywhere, that prevent a company from selling you parts.
There are a lot of people who are fighting to get laws to make it so that companies MUST sell you parts.
Most companies in the US don't want to sell you parts, because they want to sell you a new one of whatever broke. They don't care about the longevity of their products, about waste, about customer satisfaction... they only care about money.

I crashed my 1st big bike a cbr 600 on a road not far from mine hit a camper van head on 🤣🤣 1st ride on my next bike was the same route took the corner at the same speed had to finish the ride I didn't make that day 🤘
Are there not states that have implemented right-to-repair for cars (Massachusetts comes to mind) and if so wouldn't those laws mean that a manufacturer like Porsche is required to make available to independent repairers and individuals any part that is available to authorized repairers (including in this case the front tub for a Porsche 911 992 GT3).

This is an interesting law about structural parts bc we make are own parts if we can’t buy them…especially when we fight for right to repair meaning the owner has the right to fix there own products and must be able to buy prints, diagnostic software and parts
