      each watch has a quite varying dial though. even the dominating colors can change. white may work but blue or red probably wouldnt fit on certain designs of the dial

    • @loganholmberg2295
      @loganholmberg2295 3 года назад +1

      @@Snuggieman Its recycled plastic...it may be a unique swirl from melting plastic together but its still recycled plastic. Unless they are actually donating profits from the sale of the watch to organizations looking into cleaning the ocean and not just "raising awareness" why? I don't know if I want a dial made of recycled plastic. Theres all kinds of issues there that could hurt the longevity of the piece. UV being number one.

    My oris in this model has white clouds with a red cloud on the 7th marker and a navy blue background to make everything pop it’s amazing. My first “affordable Lux watch” and love how it’s just different. My dream was to always own an oris watch and when I saw this I fell in love. Buy what you like my friends, and your collection will grow regardless of what you see online. But it was nice to see the enthusiasm behind this watch.

    Since different plastics melt at different temperatures, a recycler or processor will do a press melt to look for impurities in the material before attempting to do a transaction or a production run. What Oris did was take that melt and use it as the basis for their dial. As exhibited, the colors produced by each press are unique which makes each dial unique. In essence, watch dial tells its own story about the history of the material used in its construction. Coupled with the source, this makes for a powerful story.

    Got the 41,5 mm version a fortnight ago and it's an absolute jewel. It has a slightly more feminine look than I thought with the light indices, somewhat bright bezel and narrowing bracelet. Its thickness makes it absolutely wearable. Of course I was worried about the "dial lottery", but it turned out very pretty and balenced, probably due to good quality control. Also, alignment is perfect. Unregulated mine is accurate to +10-15 seconds per day. Very positive experience so far.

    I have an Aquis. Honestly, it's a phenomenal watch, from a design perspective, utility, aesthetics, durability, pretty much everything... I have a sellita movement which isn't bad by any means but is it's weakest feature if anything but these watches are turning out to be iconic purely based on the strength of their design, classic yet contemporary. This thing looks like jewellery yet it's tough as nails, it's really hard to design something that covers so many bases and with all the different iterations, It's becoming possible to find one anyone could like... They really scored a home run with this design!
