Man, what an Awesome Ride! Really dig the music too, perfect fit. Rather than just all headcam, really enjoyed seeing those side/follower views of your jumps!
Been a LONG time since I’ve seen Corbits Coilour (however to spell it?) and yep, you rode it down a heck a lot better than me. Peer pressure made me go for it (and stupid youth) and gravity helped me make it all the way down to the bottom...didn’t even need skis or a board after the first drop! Lol My cousins live in Jackson, about 30min from Teton Village, I’ve seen one of my cousins in particular in a lot of photos going off Corbits. Corbits and that Crabtree jump/cliff (its a little lower down the mountain...been 20yrs since I’ve been on it) are for the VERY VERY good...and slightly crazy. I used to just sit at the bottom of Crabtree when the locals would all get there and hit it like it was nothing one after another. Most people people see a little cliff to jump off...the locals build up a little jump off the cliff to get more air and pull off the biggest aerials I’ve personally ever seen in person.
This was epic! Can we be blessed with the entire follow cam vid only? Then the entire helmet cam only? Then the raw edits lol? I joke, but seriously, we want em.
Gosh I wish Corbet's would have been so full of snow and easy to drop into when I was last there - a sheer hard sideways 30' drop with vertical ice rink landing
Best line in Corbetts is along rock face on left. This is especially true when Corbetts is a leap and you can't just "slide in" like here. Lived there for years. Personally....Crabtree Rock is way more intimidating than Corbetts. Try the S&S Couloir too !!
I think he is intentionally skidding more in order to prove shaky video is dead. Obviously when you skid the skis in this bumpy terrain you tend to shake a lot. Just my two cents.
Joep VN Exactly! This video is a master class in how not to shoot and edit mountain sports, it's the worst editing I've ever seen of skiing or snowboarding. The editor must not ski or ride. The cuts to other camera perspective and the speeding up and slowing down of the video really take you out of the action. This is so bad it's unwatchable. Watching a pro should be exciting, for which one must be able to understand the reality of the run, for which the consistent use of one camera perspective, whether it be first or second person, is required. I see incompetent editing more and more, and can only assume the editing process is being taken over by people who aren't involved in the sports and can't understand them.
Depends on the target audience. This is clearly an equipment ad and not targeting a skier insider audience. I enjoyed it as a voyeur looking for some entertainment. So, I wouldn’t call it terrible.
It looks pre-public. The shadows all look like real early in the morning. The groomers are untouched, the chairs are empty and there is almost nobody out there.
Actually if he’d of shown the whole run top to bottom we’d be watching an hour long video...or longer! I’ve done that run from the very top where he started down to the main lodge...it’s a long run down. That’s Teton Village. First drop, Corbits Cooler (or however you spell it😉 lol).
@@johnnynoyan2595 I'm an amateur and I did the summit to the beginning of union lift via the hobacks in 40 minutes. A professional would take 15-20 minutes top to bottom
@@dopemuffinz1000 Guess as with everything else in life, when you’re younger it always seems bigger, taller longer, steeper, etc. More than 2.5min though
It is not the place for a beginner. Or an intermediate. Should be a very strong advanced skier or higher to enjoy the place. Then it is one of the best places anywhere. It's like 90% dudes so it's all about the skiing.
Well, I did like some of the air shots. Music and the dog shot was right on. But, since so much was just cruiser terrain... Some Stein Style would have been nice.
So basically Jackson's 4,100 vertical is like about 1,000 foot of small short patched together very short steep lines followed by 3,100 vertical of blue groomers?
Just the opposite. Only place I know of in NA you can go steep continuously for almost 4K vert. Very few run outs. In fact the only cruiser to the bottom was the one he was on.. If you went top top bottom in the steeps few
There are many ways down from tram top to tram line. Corbett's is a fast way of using up vert; Rendevous Bowl->Hobacks is a way to savor it. It's all fun.
The video is edited and doesn't really give a sense of what the mountain is like. You can find steep lines all the way down the mountain if you want them. The long blue groomers are the exception.
It’s amazing that the lens size combined with the focal length of the camera makes this look like a green run
Makes corbets look like it's a 1 foot drop
Yeah, GoPros (or any camera) never really gives you the vertical feel... it just looks flat but you can't tell it's straight down, haha.
It’s not that steep. 45 is pretty doable by most solid riders
@@scottklandl488 For sure, it's like dropping into a halfpipe, just getting your weight forward.
Yeah, agree, go pros nice, but they don't capture, give you a sense of the reality
It's amazing how cameras don't do the steepness of these runs.
as an owner of one of these cameras, I can guarantee that the stabilization is this good!
Trail map inset was a nice touch
i know Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to stream new movies online?
@Gael Ridge flixportal :)
@Shiloh Juelz Thank you, signed up and it seems to work :) Appreciate it !!
@Gael Ridge Glad I could help =)
@Not Convinced ok buddy

I love how you put the map in the top right corner!!
Sweet run. Beautiful drop in. Awesome tricks
1:58 ... Yes, the dog was very stable!
Thank you! I miss Jackson!
Excellent! Reminds me of...me...when I was 21. Ha! Good days! Nice run!
This video is just pure satisfaction

Top to bottom, but with magical space time rifts that allow the skier to clip through most of the run
Takes about ten minutes with no stops going as directly as you can. 4000 vert is a lot.
This is just straight up pure awesome! More please 👍
What a beautaful run!
Sweet sounds, awesome video, looking great, yee haw.
So sick! Planning to go to Jackson next season and this is a must run.
There's so much there.

What editing program do you guys use and is this color graded? I am trying to learn about video editing. Just got the gopro 7 black too

Was expecting some better carving from durtschi and less cuts from the editing team... real top to bottom please

Agreed. I didn’t finish the video because the over editing became so annoying.

CreepyGUYcool1! Productions couldn’t agree more. Over editing ruined it
Lol this is terrible. “Top to bottom. With several non continual cuts and huge areas of the mtn missing.

It looked great to me. I would’ve fallen over at ever hill.
It ain’t that bad
Aaaaahhhhhh! The. All day run!
Gopro settings?
Truly epic. I just shot a load on my phone. Luckily got life proof. Best GoPro footage yet.
That looks like a blast
Awesome reel, dude!
He made that entry look EASY! 😂
the most fun and amazing skier i have ever seen in youtube
Pre-public run? The chair lift was empty and so was the mountain!
could have been a weekday
@iride aduck had to be closed off. Zero other people.

At "Dillon" he would have been given a speeding ticket. 😂
I want to buy a GoPro but don't know anything about them, can someone tell me the best set-up for skiing?
Love it!👍👍👍
Das ist der hammer
Finally a GoPro video where the GoPro isn’t pointed straight down
That was gnarly dude. Hell yeah he totally rips
Great video.
No one else on the mt to boot, epic!
only headcam footage of those backflips??
My knees hurt just watching this
Nice..
What a blast..
What length skis n width ?
I've done JH top to bottom non-stop, but could hardly make a turn at the bottom...
Corbet's looks terrifying yet awesome
Awesome
Thanks
Did you use an ND filter?
What’s the music?

nice footage
A powder day in heaven !
That first drop was def heart racing!
it was corbets culoir in my hometown
I’m a boarder but this was awesome 🔥
Anybody knows song name?

Anyone else noice he didn't even have the Atomic Shift binding locked down on his left toe piece the entire video?...
You don't need that thing
Ok so I’ve never skied b4 n I’ve heart about jaCkson hole...would this course be ok for me or should I try a diff one?

Bent Chetler 120mm

Where is this, Alpe Du'ez?

I have the Bent Chetlers, there is a right and a left which I discovered after a day of skiing them on the wrong feet. Maybe it doesn't matter...
You’re kidding right 😂
Killer!!
Are those custom chetlers, that's insane
Edit: they're the 120 alpine chetlers edition, would love to own that ski for powder days

what ski is this?
Atomic Bent Chetler 120
ignore the haters. nice vid 💯
Durtschi is getting older, no more badass freestyle tricks. Which i usually see in his videos.
Sweeeeet!
damn i had a lot of fun doing that
Ummm @gopro line of the year?
sick
This is why I only do cross-country skiing!

Song name?
When a beginner decide to follow your tracks
When editing is involved it isn't top to bottom.
If they went from literally the top to the bottom it is "top to bottom." The title doesn't say "Top to Bottom unedited footage."
Reenforces what others have been saying the last few years - there's a lot of good stuntmen, but not a lot of good skiers.
lol whats bad about his skiing?
@@joecolletti3180 His drop into Corbits was embarrassing and weak. That isn't how its done.
